Minimalist box problems...halp?

So I have my beloved Octopus Mod, and after many days of use I've noticed some issues.

I clean the contacts everyday, and check for loose juice jic. Every time I swap batteries or refill the juicebox I get a dead mod--no fire until I disassemble and return the parts into the box. Every time I change something I need to remove and resort everything...omce I do it the box fires like a champ until the next juicing or battery change.

It did not do this new and has gotten progressively worse the last 2 days. Any ideas? I'm at a loss.

Check that your battery wrappers aren't interfering with the contact points. Occasionally a thick wrapper will keep the contact from touching the battery poles.
Not in the octopus per se, but I've had this issue before. It may or may not be where your problem lies.

I switched over to MXJOs for today and will keep an eye for this. I was using HGs and Sammys.

Yes. I modified the silver plate to have more space between the button and pin. I had at some point bent it too far and it was hitting the 510 case and not the pin. All better until I melted the mod last night.

Had too many beers after a long and terrible shift and the poor octo slipped in between the cushions and fired until the cotton caught fire. The 510 melted the top of the box. Needless to say that is why my Lukkos is in the classies.

Yea. Sad day. Loved the octo. And have a few accessories inbound from France so a new one is in order.

Smh. Never let life get you riled up is the lesson I think.
