Kinda' funny how even the older well made mech's are still applicable today and continue to provide a superb vaping experience, right? I have some DNAs; DNA20's, DNA30's, DNA40's that aren't anything but ohm readers. But never mechs. Mechs forever! :teehee:
I feel like vaping on a mech is a pleasure, tho it is convenient to use a box mod, dna, fsk etc. mechs for life!

If Big Pharma and their Whores in the FDA and government have their way to destroy Vaping we'll be Vaping well beyond when the last regulated chip pukes. That and passing them on to our Grandchildren for generations ;)

I'm not paying $375 plus shipping for that either...I'll just wait it out and get a used one. Already spent enough on mods but it's so tempting though

Absolutely beautiful. A work of art! Bet it vapes as good as it looks. I'm in the market for my first mech myself. Been doing a ton of research for a while now. Just not sure which one to go with first.

It's so good that I just took apart my AV Able and set it aside. A bit heavy but i can get used to that. Hits hard, looks badass and is one fine piece of art like you said

Rocco hows the modfather craze still goin and iv yet to recieve my tres equios

Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
Modfather RDA is still bloody awesome, love that BEAST and our love affair is solid ;)

As for the Tres Equis, sorry but I'm still hanging on to it ;)

Sith V2 though is absolutely wonderful, 3FVape has a clone already and actually should be due in this weekend for me. Once I get it it's going to be interesting to do a comparison. The authentic I have is very worth the cost, I highly recommend it if you've got the scratch.

Will do, I'll post a comparison when I get it.

Modfather, damn ya know. The RTA is wonderful, then following that up with the RDA .... all I got to say is they really hit it out of the park again. Build quality and performance on both is awesome.

IMG_1882.JPG Got my first mech finally. Authentic av skyline. Got it for a steal too so that's what really swayed me. Got a .27 build in it with A 25r. I have to say I was expecting a harder hitting pull but I wanted to start higher with the ohms to be safe. It's a great hitting mod but just doesn't produce the "clouds bro" like I thought it would. At 4.2 volts it produces 65 watts and pulls 15 amps. At 3.7 volts it produces 50 watts at 13 amps. Still a great vape. Have the goon Lp ontop since that's the only 24mm I have so it sits flush. Well either way this is a milestone in my vaping journey and just wanted to share it with you guys.

Now rossco I've seen your posts here and you seem to be one of the go to gurus, so let me ask you this. When I use steam engine for example to check what the amp draw will be to see if it's safe with my batteries when I choose what voltage to use do I choose a fully charged 4.2? Or do u take into account instant voltage drop and use like a 3.9 or 3.7? Because if i use a 0.19 at 4.2 volts its at 22 amps. Which is over my 25r 20 amp rating. Thanks for your help.

Guru, nah I just happen to love Mech's and pass on what I've found and experianced.

As far as the voltage, there's always some voltage drop from both the connections and a bit of battery sag, even in the best batteries. The safe and reasonable spot to figure out what resistance you should be building at for 4.2v would be 3.8v or 3.9v. Some people go lower but from my research I've found 3.8v to be the spot.

Stay within your CDR, I use Sony VTC5A's which are 25a, but with Samsung 25r's I would stick around 0.21 or 0.22

Yep, it really breaks down battery usage, safety, what to do, what not to do, etc. etc. Mooch IMO does a great job of explaining things in a way you can understand. So much information in here I revisit it and pick up other things.

I've also watched some of his other Vid's but IMO this is the best all around.

Ok so I took your advice rossco. I threw in a pair of aliens that chef made for me. 0.23. The vape is significantly better then the 0.27 I had in before. At 3.8 it's giving me 62 watts and pulling 16 amps. So better vapor production and flavor so far and within my batteries limits. Thanks so much!!!

NP.

With Single Coils I'll build around 0.4 - 0.5, wire mass has a lot to do with getting the right build. Basically it's a balancing act, which for me is a good chunk of the fun and appeal to using Mech's. With Mech's it's you finding the right build to match the combination and that combination is Mod, Battery and Atty. When you find that right build it's soooo soooo satisfying ;)

I couldn't agree with you more. I love the hobby and tinkering aspect of this. And it got me off smokes to boot. I really love getting as close to zero ramp up time. That's my favorite kind of vape. But I have yet to really figure that out.
