I like FastTech. It takes forever, but if you're not in a rush, you eventually get your stuff real cheap.

Turns out they and most other Chinese sites are taking TEN days off! Starting today! Chinese New Year? Spring Festival? Something like that...

Hey, I'm Jewish, so I know what it's like having extended holiday periods, including the 10 day period of atonement. But hey man, we WORK at least 8 out of 10 of those days!

Talk about a culture shock. If any American website closed its e-doors for ten days, they'd be in the same boat with Circuit City and The Sports Authority!

Just a [not so] fun fact I learned today.

Don't expect the train to start running on time after 10 days. Almost half of the work force won't return after cny. Being that the typical chinese work week only has one day off. This is the only time most can leave the cities to see family and a lot dont return. I wait till mid march to start ordering from China again.

Ah I had the pleasure of working in Qingdao during the Chinese Lunar New Year and the whole country goes back home to the family and everything stops dead. It's also the time when people jump ship from companies and just don't return so expect a few delays at the start of feb :)

Well I have placed orders with Fasttech on the furst day back from CNY.. for the last 2 years....... with no delays beyond what would be nirmal.

All my items were in stock or at least ship next day.... as usual it took 2 to 3 days to prepare and release to shipper........ from there also as usual it took 15 and 27 days to deliver.

My experience is if you order during a holiday.. your screwed.... those that place orders before and after the holiday likely will ship first.
