Last ditch effort here

im so ready to throw in the towel and that breaks my heart! I live 2 hours from a vape shop and the closest one isn't great. Basically I bought a smok alien mod. I'm out $250 not including the juices. I'm using spellbound in cane sugar. Issue being I've gone through a coil a day. I'm feeling like this is my fault as the same crap happened to my kamgartech. Just bought 2 packs of smokes and my throat is burning and I feel like chucking my mod - like across the room. I'm so fed up. Just getting dry hits. I've tried sooo many times. Just to try it and see if anything has changed... nothing changes so I light up a ciggy. I'm bummed out

What kind of tank and coil are you running?

Variety's the very spice of life, that gives it all it's flavour.

Haa yes yes I did. Inside and on the holes on the side. The cotton changed colour. Waited 20mins after filling the tank. I might have fixed my issue. Took the tank apart and did a wet burn while blowing on it. Felt a bit risky but whatever that taste is gone so here's my fingers - and they're crossed

its a baby beast, make sure you're using the lower end of the recommended wattage. Since you're in 250 already if i were you id purchase a rebuildable coil for the baby beast, premade coils and cotton. That way you arent going through coils so often.

Yeah I definitely want to do that! I've been really interested in rebuildable coils and used them with my kangartech setup

being 2 hrs from a shop its best to just order them, not to mention cheaper. When i first stopped smoking i went through premade coils every 4 days. How many drops would you say you use priming the coils? I always do at least 10, cleaning up a mess or having juice in your mouth for a few pulls is better than a dry hit and destroying the coil.

I always get her to the point she's spitting. Better a saturated coil then a burnt one right!

If your using the Q2 coil at 60 watts that's the problem try 40-45 Watts. The other coil T8 can use the higher power but try it at 55 watts. I use mostly 75-80% VG and have a Q2 coil that's 3 weeks old and a X4 going on 5 weeks. Always start the power lower you can always up it if need be. Smok overrates their coils.

Also, with a new coil start low and slowly work your way higher. May refer to this as breaking in a coil. I'm running a Q2 in my Baby Beast at 40W on my Alien. My e-juice is 20/80 PG/VG.

I'm running a Q2 at 50 watts without an issue. Coil is almost 2 weeks old and is going well. Running a dark juice in that tank.

your wattage may be too high what ejuice are you using as well its best to start at a lower wattage. It takes alot to get off cigs just be persistent order online to save money the initial investment in vaping can seem high but the payoff is worth it..

For the wattage issues I figured 60 would be fine because my coil is rated that way. But even so I mean I moved to the higher rating because I was getting dry hits from running her at 25. I figured I wasn't running her in the ideal range so I turned her up. My god this thing is frustrating

with that coil I would not go over 45w if you are getting dry hits I personally would suggest switching tanks it is possible that coil is not wicking correctly as well but dry hits at 25w indicates a issue with the coil itself... IMHO i am not a fan of that tank at all maybe a apire cleito would be an alternative just an idea there are others

Again Smok rates the coils high try 45-50watts that's the T8 coil your using and it may work higher but start low. Also dry hits usually come because your running the power higher than the coil can wick. Air flow also comes into play as in not enough and the coil overheats because there's not enough air flow to cool it and too much for the coil/power and you get a weak low flavor hit. Also when you open the tank you brake the seal and the coil can get saturated and gurgle/spit. It should stop after a few hits.

I hope you sort it out as the baby is a wonderful tank. I bought 3. LOL
There's always a learning curve with anything new, stick it out and eventually you'll be a happy vapor and be on here answering others questions. By the way Welcome to the VU.

Another thing you can possibly do is poke the side holes a couple times with a needle. Sometimes they are packed too tightly. At least that is what I read, Haven't had that happen so far on my baby beast. Each coil has been lasting me two weeks or around 2000 puffs. I did have one go wonky on me after a week though. That sucked. :(
