"Ingram said as he was going to work on Dec. 26 when the battery of his e-cigarette blew up in his pocket without any warning.

Unlike many reported e-cigarette battery explosions, there wasn’t anything else in the pocket with the battery at the time of the accident, said Ingram.

“Be extremely cautious or if not just don't use them at all. It's very dangerous," said Ingram.

Dr. Arek Wiktor, who’s a burn and trauma surgeon at University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora. “Beware, because we really don’t know what’s causing this. We really don’t know how to prevent it, and I really hate to see people come into our ICU one or two a month with these explosions and I can’t really tell them why or not, I guess the key is don’t smoke.”

Get a fucking plastic case or buy a mod that takes two or more batteries so you don't need to carry spares every time you leave the fucking house for 8 hours.

I have had cheap chinese lighters self ignite after using them, almost burned my apartment down after lighting an incense stick. Melted the top and pressure jetted fuel out a good 4/5 feet that got lit by the hot metal.

While learning to weld and cut I was trying to keep my zippo nice that I got on my first leave. Lit a smoke and tucked the smokes and cheapo in my front pocket. Next thing I know Dad is power clubbing me to the ground from behind and ripped my pocket off and threw it smokes, lighter and half my shirt. I roll over getting ready to kick the shit out of the old man, or at least try to when that lighter detonated. He helped my groggy batted ass up and explained he saw a chunk of slag hit me that I missed landing on my pocket and I was also on fire without noticing it. Also told me he saw a couple guys back in the day have them go off against their chests.

I didn't see that yesterday. Going back today, I still don't. But regardless, there's no such thing as a 3000mAh 35A 18650 battery, and fraudulent product labeling is inherently illegal.
