Best 'upgrade' for a Smok Alien (Fresh blood)

So I am using some Vapegoo Razzleberry at the mo, and using my stock Smok Alien the flavour is garbage, and I think this is due to either the vape or the liquid, but I cannot decide what to do, because the expensive liquid I had from my local vape store before it tasted poop too...

I am new to vaping and it probably is me doing it on the wrong settings or something, but what can I do? I am looking into changing the tank to something so I thought why not ask the people that aren't trying to sell me something expensive and see what their advice is...
I am in the UK and fancy treating myself to something for my vape to enhance my experience because the flavour being poop is putting me off bigstyle.

I am looking at the Pharaoh Tank Dripper in gold as it would perfectly match my Alien which is the black and gold, and the reviews are pretty good for it, but my lack of experience building coils (could I just buy them online?) scares me, and I am not sure what to do from here as I am stuck but want to get stuck into vaping, with nice clouds for messing around with and nice taste.

Any advice is appreciated!

few things to this.
The alien itself is just the mod which wouldn't effect flavor. I'm assuming you got the kit? so you are using the baby beast tank. The baby beast tank is a really good tank. just use less wattage then it recommends on the coils. too much will burn the coils and give you a bad flavor(as is the case with every tank) The liquid itself could be bad as well. i never had bad flavor from my baby beast nor have many others so it's not the tank. it could be the coil needs replacing, or the juice. coils last about 1-2 weeks depending on usage. Also the price of liquid doesn't mean it's good. I've had 15 dollar 120ml bottles taste better then 30 dollar 30ml bottles.

As far as getting a new atty, i love my pharaoh personally. Haven't done a formal review on it but to me it's the best flavor RDA out there. and it's really easy to build on. as far as building if you want to give it a go, go for it. there is a ton of info on the forums and tons of people who will be able to help you here (myself included) if you don't feel comfortable yet, you could try another tank that has pre made coils. The one negative of the pharaoh for me is it only holds 2ml of juice. outside of that it's perfect.

Think its new coil time then, think I can defiantly taste something dodgy, and this one has been in for quite a while, so that is no doubt the issue! So I will have to purchase some coils and see if that fixes anything, I think I would get the Pharaoh for in the house vaping so I would have my bottle of 100ml sitting next to me for quick refills, is there anything I need in particular to start making coils or is it literally wire and a screwdriver to wrap around? Could you link me a good coil making guide to get me started, if you have one yourself that would be even better!

Also, in terms of liquid, is there any good/cheap brands out there that provide good flavour and cloud? There is a bazillion options and I can never try them all!

as far as making coils go. you'll need wire, a meter to test builds (preferably a 521tab if you have the money) some people build on their mod and use it as a meter but I'm not a fan of that for a few reasons. a screwdriver will work fine or a nail but a coil jig is nice and they are cheap. usually around 5-10 bucks. and you'll need cotton. you can buy a bag of organic cotton balls from a local drug store or chain store and it works fine. or you can buy some Japanese organic cotton sheets or cotton bacon online or at vape shops (online is cheaper) a pair of wire cutters (just a cheap pair is fine for now like 5 bucks) and ceramic tweezers (also around 5 bucks) in the long run it'll save you money over prebuilt coils.

I am for sure going to look into sorting out a full setup, but for the moment as I am skint with christmas, I think just the Pharaoh and some coils for the baby beast and pharaoh are in order, what is the best type of wire to look for? What resistance is best?

resistance doesn't matter for regulated mods really. as long as it's higher then .1 you are fine.
as far as type of wire, there are so many it's hard to say lol. SS316 is probably the overall best. but kenthal and nichrome are fine as well. or you can buy premade fancy wire coils like claptons fused claptons alien etc. there are hundreds of types of wires so look around and have fun! there isn't a wrong answer really. just stay away form ni200 and ti wire
