New to vaping, coil help please

Hello. I just started vaping about 2 weeks ago. I purchased a Kanger evod pro v2. It came with a 0.5 and a 1.0 ohm coil. I prefer the 1.0 ohm after trying both. I purchased a pack of clocc 1.0 mtl nichrome coils, which is recommended for this unit. The new coils read 7-15 watts. The 1.0 coil that came with the evod reads 10-26 watts. After scouring the web, no one sells those coils based on wattage. The only option is ohms.
So my questions: why are they different,
What does this change, and did kanger change the watts recently, will they work, etc?

My evod came with a 30w battery (max)
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

Without looking it up I'll try this based on assumption, you can verify if you have time.
The 1.0Ω coil you started with and liked was probably NiChrome.
Kanthal and NiChrome wire is to be vaped using POWER mode.
Most generally you wouldn't vape NiChrome in TC because it has a TCR of 0.0004, too low for most mods to properly read.
The 1.0Ω coil is NiChrome
The 0.5Ω coil is probably Stainless Steel (SS316L) and can be vaped in TC or POWER mode.
Power mode / wattage mode = same thing.

If your new coils have 7-15 printed on them, they may be misprinted or even the wrong coils.
That's a tough one.
If you have an ohm reader you can check to verify they are indeed 1.0Ω and if so you COULD try them at your regular settings however I feel that'd be bad advise for a beginner.
If you got them at a local store, return them and see if they have the right ones in stock.

The 1 ohm MTL coil is Nichrome. The 0.5 ohm is Stainless Steel 316L. The 1 ohm coil should indeed read 10-26W according to Kanger. Perhaps the replacements you bought aren't actually Kanger coils but knockoffs.

The 30 watts maximum just means the mod limits output to 30W to protect the battery. You aren't going to get 30W unless you use the .5 coil and then only when the battery is freshly charged. The mod doesn't boost power to produce 30W it just outputs battery voltage so that as the battery drains the output will fall. With the 1 ohm coil and a freshly charged battery 15W is about the most you will get given that all batteries have some voltage sag under load. So while the coils may be knockoffs the wattage isn't the real concern but rather how well the new coils work.

Thanks for the input everyone. I purchased the coils from vapor authority, so I'm hoping they are genuine, and it's a misprint.
I scanned the code and it came back genuine.
Anyway to tell if it's a knockoff?

If the code checks out they should be OK. I looked up VA and even the 1.5 ohm coil pictured showed 10w-26w on the side. Shrug.

Thanks again everyone. I emailed kanger and VA so hopefully I get an answer. If I do, I'll post it here so everyone can see it.

Ok, so Kanger got back to me and said that the coils I purchased are good to go. Maybe they lowered the wattage for some reason?
Idk, they didn't explain, they just said the coils are good.
