Hi everybody. My name is Chris. Ive been smoking cigarettes for 20 years and now i think its time to put them down. Im really considering vaping as an alternative. Ive tried vaping before 5+ years ago with a cheapo eGo setup. It was less than desirable. But now im ready to try again. With the research ive done, ive narrowed it down to a few devices:

1: iJust start s kit
2: iJust start 2
3: innokin t22
4. Any AIO kit $35 dollar max

I want something easy. Charge, fill, vape, clean. Looks isnt a big deal. Im not trying to look cool. Im not really looking into spending more than $40.
Thanks for all your help and this site is very informative!!

CONGRATS ON MAKING THE CHOICE TO QUIT!!!!!
I tell people looking to make the switch that you really want to think about it this way, because so much is available.
IF you are looking to get off smokes and walk away from vaping than the INNOKIN ENDURA sets are probably the best out there.
the t22 especially.
it provides the nearest to a cigarette experience you will find.
its also trouble free and zero adjustments to make. add liquid, every once and again swap a coil and that is it. literally.

if you are looking to transition to vaping and possibly go the hobbyist route, a mod with a little more power that will let you grow is more apropos.
in the case of the latter, I have been sending people towards this.
its 75w, will handle most subtanks, comes with a tank and coils, and all you need to add is juice and battery
http://www.myvaporstore.com/Eleaf-Pico-iSmoka-iStick-75W-Melo-3-Mini-Kit-p/elis-is7550.htm
but you will need a battery as well
http://www.myvaporstore.com/LG-HG2-18650-LiMn-3000mAh-Battery-35-Amp-p/ef6503035.htm

whichever route you go, best of luck to you! and congrats on making the swap!

here is a little info that may help you understand some of the lingo and other facets to vaping

Istick pico kit is a neat little device. Need batteries and a charger as well. But would absolutely recommend something with removable batteries vs built in battery.

The initial startup fund is the steep one due to needing "everything at once".

Just got a friend setup with a pico kit, charger, 2 batteries, 10 replacement coils and was about $80. That was my advice to her, and is my advice to you. You will be way happier in 2 months spending a little more now than spend less now and more later once you realize what was cheap doesn't cut it. Plus, that price is less than 2 cartons of smokes.

I used the Ijust2 when I first swapped. Used it for 3 months before I upgraded. Very simple very easy and it worked.

how about a smok osub mini? it's around 40 bucks
http://www.smokstore.us/Smok-Osub-Mini-60W-Vape-Kit?tracking=55bf843f1dd5c

has built in battery, comes with the tank, got good reviews and is simple and easy to use. just fill with juice and fire. (and change coils when needed which screw in and out easily.

thanks for all the suggestions and comments. im not really looking into vaping as a hobby, just something to cure my cravings. but who knows?!;)

that smok osub looks nice, but seems like more of a DTL device? the innokin T22 is more for MTL that imitates a cigg? im kinda of leaning towards that.

i dont have a vape store near me since im in the boonies. so for ejuice i was thinkin a 12mg unflavored? right now im smoking a pack a day. Newport 100's(menthol)

if you're looking to imitate the draw and delivery of a cigarette, the innokin endure is the best thing going, imho
the only other things I would suggest would be the MTJET, ICARE, and MYVONERL.

The oldie but goodie, that a lot of people used to get off smokes would be the aspire nautilus mini, which would run great on that pico mod at around 9/10w

It's kinda in the middle from the reviews. Can be good for a MTL or a restrictive DTL not gonna blow huge clouds but more then a vape pen

Not endorsing this action, but a friend of mine told his wife that if he goes outside he will grab a real cig so he wants to stay inside to keep the temptation down.

Just sayin

thats exactly what i told her. going/being outside is a big cigg trigger for me. she says she can still smell it.....smell what? strawberry lemonade?:giggle:

Take the TV, the fridge, and your favorite chair outside with you.

lol. minnesota nights get kinda chilly.

Just tell her she'll get used to it... or would she rather you died of tobacco-related illness? My husband objected to some vapor scents at first, but now doesn't say a word; we're saving SOOOOOOO much money, and the truck doesn't smell like an ashtray anymore -- and neither does his wife. :)

i think shes getting used to it. lol. i start vaping when she leaves the room, and when she comes back i dont think she notices anything because she doesnt say anything. shes italian, so she WILL say something. lol Im going to wait a few days before i tell her. she'll probably just roll her eyes:sneaka:

To be honest, times when I'm not feeling well, I don't really care for the scent myself. Sometimes the scent makes my stepfather feel ill, too. So I guess it's just a compromise all round -- it's not a bad smell at all if one is feeling ok, but if one isn't... then might be the time to take it either outside, or to another room.

Ipv d3s for $20. Tough to beat that price.

I dont have the updated d3s but have a d3 and its a neat little 1 battery mod.

The D3s is a nice little mod. The Nautilus mini is a very good tank but do yourself a favor and pick up a pack of Triton mini clapton coils. They will elevate that little tank's performance way above what it usually is. Congrats on making the swap, I kicked a 40+ year, 1 to 4 packs a day monkey off my back.

Should you want to try a different setup, look at vaporcube.com . The hohm tech Skillet for $6.99 with the code SKILLET

iPV makes good mods. I've heard people bitch about them, but I've had a couple of iPV Minis for almost a year now, and both are very nice, very dependable mods.

Xtar chargers are the best and safest; cost roughly the same, and you even get free shipping - xtardirect.com.

The Skillet has a built in battery so there's no need for a charger. The drawback is that once the battery is low, you'll have to wait for it to charge....and that's the reason why I bought 4 of them....one is a Christmas gift for a friend, the other 3 are for me. The IPV D3s has removable batteries, a definite plus . Check out www.liionwholesale.com for the sale. Samsung 25R are areliable, safe battery and the Nitecore I4 4 bay charger for $14.80 is a pretty decent charger.

@wrxin , I would dare suggest the Skillet as a worthwhile purchase. The Hohm Tech mods use a proprietary chip and frankly, in my personal opinion, they have no equal on the market. I own several Hohm Tech mods but only use 2 of them as my daily knock abouts and the other 3 are still in their boxes. The G2 fugly looking brick shaped hits like a Mack truck is , in my opinion, better than the DNA200 both as functionality and ease of use on the fly.

Yep.

Building coils and making juice keep me dedicated to vaping and makes it super tough to even think about cigs. Disgusts me to even think about smoking.

I think they're all pretty good; Xtar makes very high quality goods -- it came as a real shock to me that they're also just as affordable as others, given their sterling reputation. I got their VC2 Plus -- which shows how used or how charged the battery(s) is/are in percentages, rather than voltage. I already had an eFest Luc2, which shows it in voltage; what I most admired about the VC2 Plus is that it gives you an estimate of how much longer it will take to finish charging.

I use only single-battery mods, though; if you're using some of the multi-battery mods, you might prefer a charger with more than 2 bays.
