Hello East TN! Just wanting to see how many folks are in the area. I live in Blount County and started to Vape November 28, 2014. As with most things, I dove in hard and fast learning as much as I can as quick as I could (my wife calls me obsessive... she has a point!). I am enjoying building my own coils and doing boutique (small quantity) e-juice blends (A.K.A. DIY). I am venturing into dripping as something to do at home (Youde (UD) IGO-W3) along with my tank (Yiloong Fogger V6.0). My home Mods are an iPV Mini (30) and a Dovpo GX-200. My on the road/work Vape is with an Aspire Nautilus Mini on a Kanger ipow 2. I've stayed with Kanthal A1 wire and Japanese cotton so far. Actually, I'm not going to be venturing much more the next few months due to funds being tight. When I have the money I would like to explore temperature controlled vaping with Nichrome. I get a few things from the area's B&Ms but the vast majority of what I get is online.

If you are in the area, what are your favorite B&Ms? Mine are Vape Street Lounge (331 Whitecrest Dr Maryville, TN 37801), Vapor Boss (9272 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37922), and The Vault Vapor Lounge (9133 Oak Ridge Hwy, Oak Ridge, TN 37830).

Waiting for the Innokin itaste MVP 3.0 pro 60w, birthday gift from husband. Really hoping this is the total package I've been looking for lol

Nice! My BD gift from my wife back in January was an iPV Mini (30 watt) and an Aspire Nautilus Mini. Are you going to run a sub ohm tank on it?

Yea, I was going to get one separately, but I've heard great things about the Innokin iSub G that comes with it, most say works better than whatever they got to go with it.

I started with an Innokin iTaste CLK and iClear 16d dual bottom coil clearomizer. I liked it but "out grew" it fairly quickly. I've heard good things about Innokin products.

I had a few "superior" set ups, but no matter what, I always end up back with the MVP for dependability and simplicity, but great flavor, battery life, and power. Now, with the 3.0 pro, I am hoping it's a guaranteed total package. I like to dabble in cloud chasing, and building, and all that, but on average, I just want something I can count on working effortlessly. For me personally, it's been Innokin products. I was actually going to get an istick, and quickly changed my mind after testing a few out.

Dovpo GX-200 (parallel 18650s hybrid mod) and RDA (dual coil 0.25 ohms build). My Fogger V6 broke (negative posts snapped off and couldn't be fixed so it would stay fixed) so I do a combo flavor/cloud with a Silverplay RTA (dual coil at 0.8 ohms) on my iPV Mini running 20-25 watts. I use the Nautilus Mini for work and on the road.

I hear nickle wire is the best to use for temp control because it gives a better flavor then nichrome MarkS.

Just PIFed the Spinner 3 and Nautilus Mini this past weekend to my friend's 24 YO daughter, a new convert (hopefully she will stick with it). Got an iJoy Asolo in the mail this past Wednesday and expect a Freemax Starre Pro tank in the mail Tuesday.

I don't live in Knoxville, but I'm a trucker and I drive through there quite a bit. I stop at the Pilot at the Lovelle Rd exit off of I40 and walk down to Mountain Oak. They have a pretty nice shop there. There's another one in the adjacent plaza called Clouds (used to be Kick Ash) but that one is pretty meh.

I know the truck stop. I haven't tried Mountain Oak yet but I've heard good things about them.

Just moved to Knoxville from Dallas. We are building a home near Cookeville, so Knoxville was a good pit stop until the house is finished. Hubs and I have both been vaping for around 5-6 years. Dallas has so many great vape shops. Almost one on every corner. We went to Knoxville Vapes and it was ok. They do have some good house juice, but hoping to find something better. It's sad when I have a better selection of gear than a store... anyways. Suggestions on good stores would be awesome.

@trlrtrash13 hubs and I are both drivers also. Keep the shiny side up driver. We live close to the Pilot your talking about. If it's ever full, let me know, there are some great "lesser known" spots I can direct you to. I also know some shops in the DFW area that are decent and you can park a truck at them.

Btw... vaping 5 diff regulated mods. I rotate between these:
IPV3li v2
IPV5
IPV6X
Reuleaux RX200S
Reuleaux RX2/3

For my RDA's I have an unregulated Little Bastard from Big Daddy's.

I have several older mods that have been shelved, but I can't seem to part with.

Using Atlantis V2's, TFV8's, Cleito's and about 10-15 different RDA's.

@Banshee I am in the Northwest Knoxville area. Honestly, I haven't found a Vape Shop that blows me away. Vapor Boss on Kingston Pike, Saffire Vapor in Turkey Creek, and Secret City Vapor in Oak Ridge seem to have really good e-juices. The Vault Vapor Lounge in Solway (on SR 162) has a good selection (not great) of equipment and decent e-juice... their prices are a bit high (by my standards) but they are convenient to me as they are on the route I go to and from work.

Lol dang a spread sheet? I'm not even that close to organized. That's awesome. I don't think I could remember everything I've had at this point. I just know what I'm currently playing with. I wish I could be that organized.

When we were deciding where to move, vape shops didn't feed into the decision but it maybe should have. Don't get me wrong, I love Knoxville. In Dallas we had Vape lounges where you could just go hang out all day. It was awesome. The shops were more about hanging out with other vapers than anything else. I'm not used to shops where they want you to go in try a few juices, make your purchase and leave. Maybe opening a vape lounge around here would be in order...

Most of the places I've been to around here have a small Lounge area and is mostly shop area. My concept would have equally sized areas and would be set up for a wide range of ages and activities such as an area gaming, an area for watching sports, an area for pool and darts, an area for building and cloud competition, an area for Mods (with a try while you're here), an area for atomizers (with a try while you're here), and an area for all other things vape related. Great ventilation would be a must because it can get thick with all the cloud blowing.

That is definitely what this area needs. That's how most shops are set up in the Dallas area. I think you'd be a huge success if you could start a lounge like that. Some in Dallas even offer a bar style menu and non alcoholic drinks. It's smart because when you're hanging out you tend to experiment with juices and make purchases. Most of them mix their house juices "in house" and will customize a juice for you by adding extra flavor or tweaking flavors to each persons exact taste. I know people rarely went there without spending $50 or more. They knew the names and tastes of their regulars and had tons of contests and fun things to do. This area really needs that.

Things on my end have continued to progress. I’ve built several PWM Mods and I’m working on my second StabWood Mod that is going to be a DNA 250 Squonker. I hope to get it finished late this year. First StabWood DNA 250 below.

I do it for myself. A StabWood Mod can take me 2-3 years to get done since I do it in what little spare time I have. I have to outsource some work and also use rather exotic wood so they are kinda expensive. The one pictured cost around $400 (not including anything for my time spent working on it).

That’s some nice craftsmanship. Good work. I’ve been looking at Vicious Ant Primos or Cthulhu Fractals.

I like Vicious Ant products, from what I’ve seen and heard.

I’ve stepped back quite a bit from total obsession to a more healthy hobby level. In the last two years all I’ve purchased is VG, PG, Nic, flavoring concentrates and batteries. Getting ready to purchase some more wire soon.

Oh, and parts to build a couple of Mods. LOL

Same, I’m full DIY (coils/juice) but I’m just not interested in where the market has gone past years. Seems like everything I like and want is high end because it’s made properly.

Yeah, I’m pretty much solid on YiHi or DNA boards. There’s a couple of PWM boards I like but would have to look them up. I built my own PWM circuit Mod that can be either PWM or unregulated (MOSFET switched).
