I took a chance and ordered a SS and Black one. I have the Limitless Plus and to be honest I'm not that thrilled with it. Way too airy and IMO muted flavor, I did a series build on it and ran it on my Series Mod's and it gave me an acceptable Vape. But to be honest haven't been really impressed with it, just way to airy resulting in mediocre flavor IMO. I've vaped on the Avocado 24 not a bad tank at all, I just don't like the wasted build space on the deck due to the fill hole. Decent flavor but disappointed with the wasted build space on the deck.

Anyway as I stated I took a chance on the VGod Trick Tank Pro, I like the way it looked, love the idea of the bottom airflow and did like the the fill hole on the side so I took a gamble. Well got them both in on Thursday and was instantly impressed. I really do like the case they sent with it and the included fused Claptons are not bad at all, actually good quality. I normally toss all included coils but these are quality coils. The build quality is very, very good, I'm impressed. I really dislike slotted grub screws. Yeah I know I hear people claim Allen Key grub screws always strip, Bulllshit. If they Strip it's due to people using the shit quality Allen Key or bottom line shit quality grub screws. Slotted are the worst for stripping only to be followed up by Phillips Head. Anyway I always swap out slotted and phillips head with allen grub screws. Well the quality is so good with the VGod along with the machining I've left them in.

Now to the nitty gritty, how does she preform? Awesome, just simply awesome. Building, wicking and filling up the tank is easy. The flavor is excellent and the airflow provides for IMO the perfect airflow. This really does provides for a very smooth and flavorful vape, I'm really impressed. The included fused clapton coils Ohmed out for me at 0.28 Ohms. The Cotton, pre-cut and looked intially to be very good, well it may be. I really just didn't like the way it handled and decided not to use it, I just popped in my trusty Koh gen Do.

Bottom line is this, if you like Genni style RDTA's this really is a must have. Yes it's $65 but look at what you get -

  1. Very well built/machined RDTA (and clean)
  2. Excellent quality pair of Fused Claptons, something like 26x2/40 coils
  3. Very nice case that you can actually use, seriously it is a nice, well made case

So all in all I'm very pleased and my gamble paid off. Here is my SS on my Margarita, been vaping on it
constantly for 2 full days now and really enjoy it -

Haven't seen a video yet...

How is the wicking accomplished? Does the outer ring unscrew like the Limitless Plus to give you access to the wick notches or do you have to stuff the cotton through the holes? If the latter, how hard is it to wick? Any tips or tricks?

I know I'm a lazy ass for not watching a video but since you have it I was wondering what your experience was.

You stuff it, there is a number of YouTubes on it

i want to try one of these if i can get it for cheap. i too think it looks really good. but i'm a big limitless fan. not sure how it can have too much air flow when you can really close it down and center it. i close mine down pretty far cause i like a restricted lung hit.

Well I got a Clone from 3FVape of the VGod Trick Tank Pro and I have to say it's pretty damn close, I mean real close. I ended up giving it away since I already have 2 of the Authentic. So if you don't have the scratch for the Authentic 3FVape has a good clone for around $13 or so. But as always if you do have the cash for it I recommend this. Try the Clone and if you like it get the authentic. Example I have really been enjoying the Kayfun V5 Clone by SXK, I Vape on it a lot. So I've pulled the trigger on the Authentic and should be getting it in a few days.

Support those who come up with the original design instead of assholes that are out to make a quick buck and contribute nothing.

With that said I did buy a couple of the O-Atty Clones, just out of principle alone. O-Atty is basically just a Narda Clone with 304 SS and they are charging $150-$200.

Sorry for the necro, but I haven't been on the forum in ages and I recently picked up one of these tanks.

I've gotten into a phase where 90% of what I use are RDTA style tanks like the Limitless / Limitless Plus, Avocado 22/24mm, VGod TT Pro, etc. So I have plenty of experience with them, and I will say that the TT Pro is the best I've used. The bottom airflow is really nice, it hits almost exactly like an old Freakshow but with more airflow which is nice for both flavor (this especially) and vapor production. The biggest plus is since it's BAF, I don't have to pay attention to lining up the top cap. It also keeps a much better seal on the juice than other tanks, the TTP has never leaked where-as my Limitless Plus tanks leak all the time.

Amazing tank, the only real con is the price, but if you can afford it and you like RDTA's I say go for it. It's the best one out I've personally used in the 24-25mm range.

Yep, I really love mine and have been constantly using them since I got them.

Same here, I own two and other than my flavor-RDA's I rock on my Noisy Cricket and PWM boxes, they're literally the only things I use to vape. The flavor is the best I've had from an RDTA, the not having to line up the top cap is a blessing and I really have to stress how good the seal on this tank is. You'd have to try and make it leak, where-as other tanks like the Avocado, Limitless / Plus, etc. leak fairly easily if you turn them on their side or upside down for a few seconds.

I just wish it came in multiple colors. Stainless is kind of boring. One thing I will say is the authentic has some damned nice packaging, it came in a large box with a little zip-case in it. It even came with a 'build kit' that has two decently made pre-made claptons and a LOT of cotton in it. Then the smoked, spare glass and the extras.

Yep, I was impressed with the packaging.

Another major, major plus with it is the 510 pin. It extends out and is reverse threaded, perfect for hybrid style connections, just perfect!

I like the 510 pin as well, because it's long enough to be perfectly safe for direct-connect 510's BUT it's not SO long that it's a problem. I have this issue with the Limitless Plus RDTA's, the 510 pin on these is WAY too long, so much so that it will begin to stunt out the 510 pins in some mods due to its extreme length. When I thread a LP RDTA on my RX-200S 2/3 I have to physically push down to get the 510 pin to begin pushing the 510 pin in the mod's connector down BEFORE I can start threading it on. That's a problem. The VGOD's is perfect, not too long or too short.

I remember the Gemini RTA, at least the old 22mm one, had a grossly long 510 pin that would stunt out 510 pins in mods as well.

I honestly don't know why reverse threaded 510 pin isn't standard, it needs to be. Hat's off to VGod for having it reverse threaded, it's brought my hybrid mods back into regular rotation again ;)

Anyone looking at V2 of this tank they have it on sale on their official website for $35.00 ;) I just ordered two of the copper. V2 has a bigger juice hole from what I have read.

So I'm guessing it's just me but I often find the flavour really muted from this tank. I get far better flavour from my baby beast if I'm honest.

Running dual SS fused Clapton coming in at 0.128.

Any ideas?

I had it once where the flavour was incredible but not before and not since, no idea what I did differently. This is my first rta so not too experienced.

I've got a few of the V1's and I'm a fan of them for their great flavor. Off the top of my head head I would say maybe it's too hot. I would try SS fused Claptons @ around 0.18.

I'll try different coils when I get home, wondered if it was a wicking issue?

I dunno if it makes much difference to this thread but it is the r2/v2.

Cheers

Just got the V2 on Friday so I used it over the weekend. My 2 cents.... better flavor than the Azeroth and Avocado, have to pay attention when filling it so you don't have juice spill out the top. I'll run it as my go to tank but keep the Azeroth in rotation because filling it is better (no over flow) and it seems to hold a little more juice.
I was using SS Claptons @ .21 in all tanks. Over all I'm glad I got two of them for the price.

Edit: Forgot to say the build quality on this tank is top notch!

Carmmond how have you wicked yours?
I have very similar ohms on my coils but still find I get more detailed flavour from my baby beast.

I'm using cotton bacon v2 but as I say this is my first Rdta so do all my learning on this. After hearing everyone else's reviews it just feels like I'm missing something

Mike Vapes has a video out on wicking it the way I do....

Just don't over stuff it..... cotton to wide.

I stopped using the Baby Beast as soon as I got the VGOD. I’ll never go back to using tanks.
I’m also relatively new at this. Many cool people have helped me out here, I’ll try to help out with what I’ve learned so far:
I’m still using the VGOD coils, reading at 0.2 ohms. They’re really good - but I do rewick them every 3 days. My juices gunk up coils fast, so I dry fire the coils at 50 watts until they glow making sure they’re glowing evenly from the inside out.
After that, I dip them on warm water until they’re clean. They get brand new!
As far as cotton, I use Puff Cotton, medium sized pads - look it up on Amazon. Each pad gives me 4 wicks - cut in half, then half again = 1 wick.
The length of the cotton: You can measure going all the way down to the glass, or slightly above - they both worked well for me. I tried uploading both pics but was not able to do it, sorry.
It shouldn’t be neither too loose nor too tight. It took me quite a few pads to figure it out lol
Sooo maybe:
Coils have hot spots
Coils are too gunked up
Cotton is either too loose or too tight.
Hope this helps. I’ve been enjoying my tanks a lot, with no loss in flavor whatsoever.

I was using the original coils until I went to my local vape shop and the guy in there ripped em out, without even asking me and wrapped me some kanthal ones, probably just to satisfy his own ego as he knew I was relatively clueless.

Anyway, I raised the coils a touch, to approx 3mm above the airholes and rewicked using much less cotton and it seems to of done the trick! Will have to try my Peach mix and see once I've chugged this tank of juice.

I still carry my baby beast around for when rewicking isnt convenient and still vape it from time to time, I've had a few niggles with the Tricktank such as shorts and muted flavour. When its running right it's a dream but I occasionally switch to the baby beast for its sheer ease of use.

Anyway thanks for the input. It's now up and running like a dream.

You'll have to let me know how you get on with the exo. Looks like a nice tank. I like the tricktank too but something keeps telling me I want a bit more, especially in the flavour department where I think the baby beast is far more consistent

Should be getting it soon, I’ll let you know how it goes. I’m torn between the Exo and the Pharaoh (I want a single coil RTA).

In what way?

Just takes a little practice buddy. Now I've got it down I love this tank. I always thought the baby beast was good for flavour but it doesn't touch this.

What cotton are you using?
I now do it so it fits snug into the coils, not tight and not loose, I cut the cotton as close to the build deck as possible, can barely see it once the glass is on, I then combe the ends a little to thin em out before popping them through the juice/wicking holes. The wicking holes can't be tightly packed, it seems to kill the flavour.

Runs like a dream.

When you said cut the corners close as possible does that mean you don't run the wick through the holes?I'm confident in my builds to know how to get flavor by far the vgod pro rda is a beast.I never was a tank fan but this rdta made me want it being from vgod.I use cotton bacon and cotton and candy.

Yeah through the holes but as close to the underside as possible.
Took me ages to get used to the wicking on this, in terms of flavour etc, never had any leaks but I guess I was stuffing the cotton into the wicking holes too tight and possibly leaving the tails too long.

Since I've been thinning them out and cutting them as close to the underside as possible, it tastes great.

Once the cotton is through the coil, I shape it over the side of the build deck and snip it right at the bottom where the metal ends. So right at the top of the glass section.
Once the cotton is saturated, I can see perhaps a mil of the cotton tail.

Honestly took me awhile to get this tank right but so glad I persevered.
