My next hurricane kit will now include many extra 18650's. Looks like the pending power outage could be extensive. Cat 4 just a few hours away. I was so occupied prepping for the storm I didn't pick up extra batteries. So I will stick with the pico and an 18 watt build.

I'm sorry I didn't mean to like that. As someone who has been stuck in the desert my entire life. I can't imagine having to prepare for something like this.

We were lucky, I live in sebastian and before things got real dicey the storm took a turn more to the north. We didn't get over 100 mph gusts. Got power back yesterday.
I'm in Sebastian also. We got about half of what they said we would. And just got my power back this afternoon

We don't get hurricanes here, and I have tons of single and double/triple sets of batteries charged, but I need to add some more jackery battery pack chargers to my next amazon order for the rare power outages to charge my phone and mods I charge via usb.

These situations are why I use chargers that are also capable for use in my auto's power/usb ports, besides a/c outlets.

I keep forgetting my Luc 4 will output the power from a single charged cell in, I think, Bay #2.
Handy. I expect several brands have a similar feature.

The other thing I would do if hit with a multi-day power outage is... quickly roll up some higher ohm builds. :p

I bought a 16000mah USB Powerbank and a dual 18650 Micro USB Charger

I built a 30000 Mah Powerbank that charges off a 40w Solar panel, it has 110v AC, 12v DC and a USB charger port.. Built it for Emergencies/To charge my drills when I'm working off grid.

You *built* one. I'm impressed. Can you point me to directions and how to do that. (Not that I'll do it myself, that's what electrician sons are for).

You basically miniaturize a home solar power system ^__^

Solar Charge Controller (don't need a high amp one 10A should do)
12v Solar panel At least 20w, 40w better anything bigger and it will be too big to be inconvenient...
Battery Bank Preferably AGM (can use lithium but it will raise the price of the whole project significantly).. I used 3x 10AH SLA AGM's
Inverter at least 200W
Dual Plug 110v Power/USB can get separate to lower costs but got them together for convenience...
Plastic Electrical Enclosure
Outdoor waterproof Electrical Plate.
Voltage meter so you know when to charge...
Various Switches so you can turn off each component
2x 12v Sockets (One for power one for solar panel)
Male 12v Connector
Electrical Solder...
Wire Connectors.
Heat Shrink.
Electrical Tape
110v-12v SLA Charger so you can charge off grid
Power Socket for 110v plug..
Cord for socket you got...
Red and black wire....

I think that's it... That case is quite literally jam packed lols
