Well, I was waiting on the goblin mini v3 that seems like it will never hit the stores shelves but that may have just been replaced with this.

The height of the merlin is why I never picked one up. This looks like it will be a perfect tank for a nugget or something, been about a year since I've ran a mini mod so I'm looking forward to it and finding a mini/micro mod to go with it.

Gonna be filling this thing every 20 minutes with the dual coil deck...but it will be worth it!

No it will not. I already have to fill my Serpent Mini and my Mage and my Moonshot way too often. Screw size. Sure we like the LOOK of a small tank but vape a VCM, Boreas or Aromamizer Supreme and you will live with the bigger size. I so want a Modfather. Hoping some fool will trade me one for a Goon or something.

Well, to me it will be worth it. To each his own. If this has the flavor characteristics of the full size Merlin (or better) than I can live with the added filling time (about 5 seconds). But it will stay at my desk or in my car. Not a walk around. I have my Boreas and full sized Merlin for longer times away from my juice source. But if I'm just sitting out on the patio reading and vaping, I don't mind a regular fill up schedule. Look at all the people who drip...now to me THAT is a hassle. But I understand it.
What really bothers me is trying to figure out the "logic" of a regulation of 2ml capacity on atomizers. Why? What is the purpose? Anyone have any ideas on what would make them think that is prudent or a reasonable regulation. WTF?!

That's kinda where I am with it. The Serpent Mini was DRINKING juice. I'm not a subohmer, anything I use gets a coil of 1+ ohms, so I couldn't figure that out, exactly. I have 3ml tanks that last me all day lay, so I don't know, I just don't get it.

I understand why more 2ml tanks are hitting the market, large audience to please, not just USA. With the troubles I had with the full size, I'm waiting for reviews on this one. I LOVED the flavor, the ease of build, and refilling, swapping wicking, etc... with the full size. I'll stay tuned to hear people's thoughts. I do love shorter tanks.

I know the Serpent Mini is listed as a 3ml tank but it's a 2ml tank. Fill yours once from a 3ml syringe and see what's still in it when the tank's full. If you count priming the wick you might get 2.5ml in it.

I didn't bother with measuring it, it just sailed through juice. I use it occasionally.

I only mentioned it because mine doesn't use any more than say my Merlin or KFV5 with the same coil setup. I have to fill more often because it holds less but the rate of use is pretty close. It would have to be refilled more often than an actual 3ml tank as well.

I'm having the worst luck with tanks, lately. I've heard great things about that KF5, though. MTLers and DLers seem to like that one a lot.

I have the Tobeco clone and am happy with it. Airflow is a bit more restricted at it's wide open settings than say the Merlin with the restrictor removed. Some think it's too open at it's tightest but it seems pretty close to an old style kayfun to me. I like a little looser draw and drilled most of my old ones.

That's kind of me. I like a looser MTL, Merlin with the restrictor was perfect for the draw I like. I don't lung hit at all.

Sooo..... Subtank supply shows this as in stock now. I'm very interested in what folks think about it so I'm bumping this up. Hope someone is willing to share their experiences with the Merlin Mini (soon).

Edit: I made a mistake, sorry, still showing as a pre-order until the 22nd.

Ok, this makes me sad...

From Subtank Supply, "the original delivery date has been pushed out a week. Hope to have these by the end of this month."

Hopefully that means that they aren't rushing it out with mistakes. Good things come to those that wait :D
Ok don't beat me for saying that lol.

The 2 ml tanks are hitting the market because of new EU regulations that no new tank can be sold with over 2 ml capacity. As for the logic, there is none.

Right...I understand the regulation is in effect. I understand the regulation is 2 ml. I do not understand WHY 2 ml tanks are the "standard" that any regulator would come up with. As opposed to 3 ml or 4 ml. Just makes no sense.

Has anyone figured out the logic behind making the single coil post without the velocity style deck and for that matter making the holes smaller than the velocity deck? IMHO that's a real miss by Augvape.

Cheaper to tax??? I'm missing something. Not sure I understand that one.
The TPD laws in england require all devices to have exactly the same filling mechanics so that means same size and such but maybe one of our brothers across the pond can fully explain the TPD ands such.

I hope so, because taxation based on size does not compute in my mind. I'm trying to understand though! :wait:

Still do not understand how 2ml size limitations have ANYTHING to do with how much taxation is going on. If it's a 4ml tank, just friggin charge x2 on the tax, don't tell me I have to fill up twice as often. It's the ejuice that gets taxed by the ML, not the atty size. I would think. But sorry to take up so much space on my question about this anyway. Thanks for all you that attempted to make sense of a no-sense regulation.

I think the reason for the 2ml limit is two fold. First I think they're looking to get people to cut down on ejuice consumption. I guess its the same logic Nyc tried to use when they tried limiting the size of soft drinks. The second reason is the greedy one. They're obviously trying to push vapers towards cartridges. If you make the act of constantly filling up annoying then some people may just switch to a closed system that uses cartridges. This type of system and vaping is much easier to tax and control. That's why they're trying to do it here.

I remember it for a lil but bit im dutch and its hard to explain, the 2ml capacity had to do with the maximum amount of nicotine consumption. if u had the strongest amount nic juice and take 2ml's it would be as much as a pack of cigarette's

the guy in my local vape shop told me about it before, imma ask him again so i can make it clear for u all.

Now, that makes some sense. At least it is not a random choice based on "size". Of course most of us do not vape the maximum level of nicotine.
Thanks for the info Dutch0hms!
