I've been trying to get a good mango flavor with Philippine mango, sweet mango capella and irw mango. I can't get the mango to be strong enough.I tested the philippine mango at 5%, it was to weak, 10% is was better, sweet mango at 5% was weak, 10% was just OK. Inarwa mango has high notes but funky, just 2%. I wonder what a good combo of these flavors will give it the punch I want. I tried the combo of these flavors someone posted, 4%phil mango, 2% sweet mango and .05 inaraw mango but it was too weak, especially after adding some cheesecake. Anyone's input is most appreciated.I want fruits to be a strong front note and the creams and crusts to be a mid and bottom note. Strawberries are weak too. Seems like all the fruits I've made so far are weak. Except double apple and apple pie by capella's, Keylime rocks too. those are pretty good so far. How do I make the fruits punch through the creams and crusts? I've gone down very low in creams and crusts to try and make the fruits stand out but no luck. this is my first post. I live on a small island in the phils. I've been mixing a few years but had limited access to concentrates. Now I have a few more options and have been loving it. Last year I discovered Caps vanilla custard, holy cow this is great stuff. OK, thanks in advance for some help

Sometimes adding a contrasting flavor can help. I'm not much of a mango vaper, so I really won't be of much help with that particular one, but, sometimes apricot, or apple, pear, pineapple or even peach in just the smallest amount can't put a bit of "oomph" in the flavor you're working with, like an enhancer, of sorts. Keep your main flavoring at the highest, the creams and crusts lower, then the enhancer even lower. Might be worth a shot.

INW Shisha Mango might be the taste you're looking for. Has a green mango taste. Flavorah Mango is absolutely a must have. It's a very sweet and slight acidic masterpiece. The mouthfeel is thick and pulpy. I keep this standalone in my Boreas tank at all times. I can't get enough of it. I mix it a 2.5%. Welcome to VU man !

thank you, great tips. I'm going to order the flavorah mango today. I see there is a flavorart (FA) and flavorah (flv) brands. I almost ordered FA by mistake, Jimi it's the flavorah flv. right? Love this site, some great tips from huckleberried, thanks. I made an apple pie ejuice yesterday and was wondering if I mixed a fraction of apple in my mango if it might give me more bite, huckleberried read my mind. thanks for the welcome response. I don't know anyone where I live that makes ejuice, a few years ago no one here vaped at all. Cigs are cheap here, like a dollar a pack. but cigs were killing me, a constant alarming cough, since vaping, no more cough. thanks again Jimi Dand huckleberried

Well, you have all of us to mix with, now :)

Yes, he did mean Flavorah. The one from FlavourArt is kind of tough to work with.

Oh that's a bummer. Some people do like FlavourArt mango, but you have to use it in pretty small % for it to not be overly floral and perfume-y. It's just a bit tough to work with. Can you order from Flavorah directly?

I think the shipping would be more expensive then the concentrates. It's OK, I have sweet mango, caps, Philippines mango and Inw mango, I'll take your advice and start experimenting with adding small amounts of the flavors you suggested.

me too. I have some jackfruit and dragonfruit ordered, also white peach, I ordered them just to enhance the mango. I'll try with strawberry too. I want the fruit to be a big front note and can't get that yet. I have a lot of different strawberry too. I'm sure it's me, any tips for that huckleberried? and what is your preferred flavor and mix?

I'm not much for strawberry! I'm really failing you, huh? Strawberry does work it's own magic when combined with watermelon, then you can also deepen the flavor of strawberry by using other deep berry flavors, like blueberries. I'm more into dessert type vapes. I like cookies, cheesecakes, vanillas a LOT. Then there's a Macaroon Bar that HIC created that I've never gotten tired of. http://vapingunderground.com/threads/hics-macaroon-bars-coconut-orange-cranberry.33475/ I just love that one. I use mandarin in it, instead of orange.

your not failing me at all. The hics recipe you sent looks amazing, I'm ordering the ingredients now. My vendor doesn't have F.A. cookie though, is there a good sub? I have sugar cookie, don't know it it's close. You said you sub mandarin for orange, why? wonder if I should too. The description of the vape makes it sound amazing, this one will be a challenge for me (which I love) see, your an asset, thank you. I like the creams and sweet vapes too, like you, I was just trying to blend some fruit notes on the top. Like a key lime cheese cake,, for a few years now the only mix I've had is menthol, that's all that was available. Now I have some access to some flavor. When I tasted caps v1 custard for the first time I about fell over. I've been reading some great recipies but until just recently I didn't have access to flavors, so I'm like a kid in a candy store, anymore tips or recipes like this? One other thing, HIcs flavor %s are so low, are you getting big flavor? what if you doubled it? sorry I'm so wordy, much thanks

Huck, one more thing. I did find f.a. cookie but not the fa coconut. I could get tfa, flavor west, lorans or tfa extra. which one do you think would be close enough?

10% Philippine Mango, 5% CAP Sweet Mango, & 2% INW Mango are all right on the mark for amounts IMO.
At least those amounts work for me anyway.
You can also add in some Peach or Apricot as helpers.
TFA Sour can help fruits pop a bit more and sometimes a little sweetener can help too.

thanks Heabob, I was thinking about the same thing last night while testing, was wondering if that was too high but I think your right,it tested good around that range. I was just reading about sour tfa minutes ago. I have sweetner but haven't used it yet, What % would you recommend? I'll go with upping the %'s and then maybe a little sour first, great tip, thank you.

You can use around 0.5-1% Sour and/or Sweetener.

My apologies for the late response... I sub mandarin in that recipe because it has a bolder taste, than their orange flavoring, and it really compliments the cranberry very well. I'm glad you found the FA Cookie, because I really don't think that sugar cookie would work very well at all in that particular recipe. But for coconuts, I'm NO help. I enjoy FA Coconut so much, I've never bothered to find a sub for it. Oh wait, I did try TFA Coconut Candy once, but didn't care for that one much at all.

HIC's recipes are low in %, but FA is pretty concentrated. I sometimes increase a flavoring, or 2, just depends on what I want to stand out more. In the Macaroon recipe, I took Cranberry to 2%, I reduce cookie to 0.75%. Even though cookie is my favorite of their line, in this recipe, I prefer it more subtle, also I reduce Caramel to 0.5%. The first time I mixed that one up, I loved it, over time, I decided to adjust the flavors some.

INW Biscuit is quite close and much stronger.
And the INW Shisha Strawberry is another "must have" IMO.
INW Coconut Cookies is a decent Coconut flavor, but I can't really taste any cookies tho but doesn't really matter as I was chasing another Coconut flavor.

I've read a lot of reviews on cocopadila, I'm sure I spelled it wrong. MOST of them said they only taste coconut from that one, though it was said it was supposed to be something tropical. Have you used that one?

Not yet, but the Pinacolada is Pineapple only, so I mix it with Coconut Cookies to make it more correct.
Along with FA Jamaican Rum + Cream:D.

I just double checked with my vendor and he has "flavorart" products, is that different then the f.A. in Hic's recipes? I have a feeling flavourah is what you guys are using not flavorart. I can't get flavourah. I was going off the intials that was posted F.A. I'll put a hold on my order until I get it figured out, almost a big mistake.

Hi timmer. The Mango I enjoy is by Flavorah (FLV) sourced in the USA. FlavourArt (FA) is sourced from Italy. We use both brands.

HIC uses a lot of FlavourART.

I use TFA Mango and Cap Sweet Mango in roughly 4:3 proportion. Capella's mango has that almost 'piney' taste (like just under the skin) but it's too much by itself.

Just input from another mango lover who does use FA's in the mix. FA's mango has a strong "pine/spruce" flavor. Remenisent of a Mango's pulp that's close to the pit. My blend, whenever I need a Mango note is:
(TFA) Philipine Mango.. 7%
(FA) Mango ..................(.25%)
(TFA) Dragon Fruit........ 1% (sweetener)

Hope that help

I can vouch for FA Mango, it's very realistic.

FA Yoghurt 2%
FA Mango 1%
FA Fresh cream 1%

.....Very tasty!
