Four weeks just to replace a board. Sorry to hear that, Manny. Should have been a few day turnaround. Glad you're getting it back though.

I've got a brand new RX200S, box and everything. Even throw in the batteries. And think, you'll be getting 250W only giving up 200W.:giggle::devil:

Oh, don't trade away because of this. If you like it and it's working, that's all that matters. Then again, I shouldn't talk as it rarely takes much of an argument for me to decide to get another mod just because.

If you are having no issues with yours, and you like it-please don't trade it! Every manufacturer has issues, some more than others granted, but if you like it, and it works-keep it :).

I trade mods as often as I change my underwear. At least once a week ...
I have a Reuleaux DNA200 slightly used, or a new in the box Black VT200 if your interested in one of those in a trade. I also have a factory sealed Blood Red Lavabox DNA75, but I'm still thinking about whether or not I'd like to trade/sell that (I'm only considering it because I have an opened one as well).

I think Pauls just traded his vt200 and another lipo dna200 for the triade. So I don't think he wants another lipo or the vt200. But you never know. I want a blood red lavabox m to go with my dna200 version. Maybe I'll buy one. I've seen these been on sale for 80 bucks at some places.

I hate Lipos. The Reuleaux is what I have in the Trisde, lol. I would only trade for a serious mech.

I am a novice, surely. I just started using the Triade... Wattage mode, at the moment. vaping .30 ohms using Kanthal... The screen shows the ohms of the coil and watts but doesn't show Voltage or Temp. I assume it would not show Temp as I am not in Temp Mode but not sure why no Volts are showing. Is this the norm? Your insight would be greatly appreciated! VAPE ON!

Hook your mod up to Escribe and in the Screen Tab you can select what you want displayed in the 3 smaller displays via the drop-down boxes. Once you decide what you want displayed, click on Upload Settings to Device at the top of Escribe to save your choices to your mod.

Thanks Wingspan0310! The Temp Control & Voltage Label's are showing, but no values next to them... See below... Shouldn't the values show...at least the voltage?

Wow. Got one traded ... getting a VCM black/copper and a VCP piglet. I'm pretty happy. I'm just not really a regulated guy. This is my third DNA traded this month ... I'm sure the Triade's are good. Battery life is magnificent. But I really like my mechs. Simple and direct. No fussing about with any settings, easy to repair, easy to maintain.

You guy's are not going to believe this. After all my bashing I actually got another Triade today! Guy thought it was too big and sold it for $40. It is in fine condition. I figured for that price why not. Got the box and everything too. It's not my favorite mod obviously but I will always take a giveaway. I guess he did not feel it was worth more. Did not haggle.

For $40, you did really well there, after all it is a DNA200 in there :).

If you are not happy with it-you can't moan for $40 though lol- worst comes to worst if you really do dislike it, get that board inside a Hammond box or something similar and have yourself your own, Custom DNA200 at minimal cost.

No kidding. I promise I am not going to complain about this. I have spent much more on lunch. The only thing that interests me is the Wismec is heavier for whatever that is worth. His door was rattling. Put on my other door and snug as a bug in a rug Lol

I do not know Hammond incredibly. I will check it out. Yeah, At least I have the board. ?he Damn board is $89 alone. Either he really hated it or was clueless. I was buying a lot of stuff while I was vaping and he said Hey, I have a vaporizer maybe you want!. Not at a vape shop, Home Depot. I took my chance that it was dead but lucked out. What was the likelihood of this? Fucking incredible. I almost said fuck that but $40 i said sure, why not!

Mine was shipped today from the repair center in Ohio..... They told me the board got fried and was told to use high amp batteries, that I could be using low quality batteries..... So it was replaced and it only took (5) weeks......

VTC6's are 15amp CDR batteries that Mooch rated as 19amp CDR. They aren't some ultra powerful batteries if that's what you're implying. In the same test he rated 30Q's as 20amp CDR cells, HG2'S as 18 amp CDR cells.

Cheers,
Steve

I use hg2, subohm cells, he4 cells, vtc5, vtc6, 25r, and nothing hits like the VTC6...... Nothing

They can test all they want, I use the cells 8 to 12 hours per day....... The Sony VTC6 don't even start hitting good until the 7th or 8th charge........

And VTC6 well the vtc5 hit hard as Fuck too and they have been hitting hard for 9 months, the 5 and 6 are the only ones that you push the button and it's immediate fire...... No ramping simply power..... You can really feel it on a mech mod.... The vtc 5 are not holding the charge like new ones, but they do discharge hard even after 9 months....

Sent from my 710C using Tapatalk
They hit with the same power throughout the entire charge.... I feel they hit hard even when at the empty spot...... They are superb......

VTC6 is really too low amp for 120W. They are right but i am sure it would protect itself. Unless the protection also failed. Just bad luck. I blew the fuse because I dead shorted bare batteries. Both our fault really. You cannot play around with LI-Ion batteries. Lucky we did not hurt ourselves. VTC5 is maybe okay. 25R is okay and HG2 sort of. HG2 not over 133W though. The truth is for 200W At like a .1 Ohm coil or below we really need 40 amp batteries. Not those bullshit Chinese 40 amp liar batteries either that are really 15 Amp. The problem is those are going to be only like 2000MAH. This new Smok if it really hits 400W, no battery can support that and it is really fucking unsafe. Again, the Chinese do not care. These are the fuckers that built what we are making with child slaves! I hate that but there is nothing we can do about it. The USA has no jurisdiction over them.

I am finding this new Triade does not hit as hard. Same board but wonder how these fuckers get the board. Could even be counterfeit. The problem with all this Chinese shit is not the design. Designed in America. The issue is QC. Such as the door was loose but the other door fit. This is why I hate all this crap. I went off on the Triade but it is really all of them to blame. The Chinese have no regulations like America. No one inspects their shit. I do not hate Chinese people. In fact I feel sorry for the Civilians. It is their Government I do not approve of. It probably costs them $5 USD to make this independent of the board assuming it is real. Then they have the audacity to blame it on batteries. It is not like you used a 10 Amp ancient battery.

Yep the Triade built in China could have clone boards.......
Here at the repair center in Ohio I was told he is waiting for 30 boards from Evolve and that's why the repair is taking time, so now I'm pretty sure it's getting an Evolve DNA200 board......

with an Evolve certificate and a new warranty starting the day of repair........

I must correct myself. I was wrong. I read test data. The VTC6 should absolutely have no bearing on why your board blew. It will easily handle 150 Watts. It actually provides the highest amperage of any 3000mah battery. It is on par with 2500mah batteries. They are full of shit. I have no problem recommending the VTC6 now for usage in the DNA 200 at 150 watts and below. If you really want to safely run 200W you are going to need a high output 2000mah battery. I use HG2's up to 130W with no issue at all.

That's not true. Sony rates it at 15 amps CDR. Mooch tested the VTC6 vs 30Q's vs HG'2s in a shootout. The highest CDR was the 30Q's (20A), then the VTC6 (19A), followed by the HG2 (18A).

That being said I never said the batteries (VTC6) had anything to do with the board going bad. Still they do not provide the highest amperage of any 3000mah battery. All three that I listed are in the same ballpark but the 30Q's tested out to have the greatest CDR.

People get different test results with different methodology and different specimens. As you said though they are all close. I made that statement looking at someone eases test. It is not a big deal. Please lets not have another feud about it. You did not say it fried the board, Manny did. I said that was doubtful. A lot of DNA boards go belly up. Not in comparison to how many they have produced though. It is probably still a small percentage.

Mine was working good.... I hated it was loosing it's paint so rapid..... But it actually worked accurate and hard hitting......

The mod accommodates small to large tanks, the raised 510 assists with that, and its actually more comfortable in the hand than the Rx200.......

The mod it's a sexy and modern looking device....

Manny, you said the board was dead and that is why you sent it in.
It went blank after flashing like ten times and nothing.... I sent it into the Triade repair center (5) weeks ago...... Couple days ago I received an email about internal fuses damaged and something with the board, so the guy told me his replacing the board..... And it got shipped on Monday...... So I should have it hopefully by Saturday.........

See my post in the VRK thread please. If the same as HG2 should be able to charge at 2A no problem. Actually rated 2A better than HG2 I think. Probably as you said, Good HG2 re-wrap. I got screwed on the price though.

Most people do not have a need for the 250 so scoop up the 200's. Ironically the one I got for 40 bucks is a good device thus far. I would have never went off Lol. As I said the issue with all these Chinese devices is not the design it is the QC. The batteries actually go in this on rather easily. MY Reuleaux DNA the battery sled has become so loose it is making intermittent contact! You can't win with these and certainly not Lipo's. They honestly should just cost less because they really are disposable devices. The issue is at these prices we would like them to last. I wonder if it goes below $100 before the 250 hits I would get another. Not kidding, yeah I went nuts but it was because I paid over $200 with tax for the one that lasted less than a day. Otherwise if you get a good one by chance this is pretty slick. Well, I did have to borrow the door from the first one because this one the door would not stay on. This is okay for say $75 but not over Two bills or even $160. Thats just my feeling. I am sure it is not like anybody thinks these are cheap. I mean money wise.

The problem why I don't think they will drop too low is the Evolve DNA200 cheap is probably $40.00 cost and retail for $65 to $75
