I'm trying to make a 30ml bottle

Ok so I got a 250ml bottle of base at 3mg nic. I have blueberry flavoring at 0 nic
I'm just trying to make a simple bottle but all the juice calculators I use aren't helping me.
I use a syringe and I think I add 1ml of flavoring right, so my end result should be 3nic plain blueberry?

If you add anything to your 3mg base, it will dilute it to a lower nic strength.
May be negligible tho, if you only add 1ml to 30ml

So the more flavoring I add will dilute the nic level, so I guess I should've ordered 6 nic as base.

when I mix I have
36 or 48mg nic
plain pg and vg
flavorings
and use a juice calculator to hit my desired nic strength and pg/vg ratio

I usually make it at 3mg nic and either 60/40 or 70/30 vg/pg

So I guess buying vg base with nic already mixed is goofy huh. I don't want to mess with nicotine in the pure form so that's why I ordered a bottle of 3nic in 250ml. I like higher vg juices and was going to only use the pg flavorings to bring it to a 90/10 mix

doing it that way is fine you just have to take in consideration how much flavoring your adding because it will delute the nic base.
I dont want to mess with high concentrate nic either thats why I use 36mg or 48 mg you can get it even lower it just lasts me longer when I get it like that.

vaping at 3mg nic I dont think you are going to even notice that its a little lower when you mix it

Buying it mixed with vg or pg is on preference. With you liking higher vg mix, it is only logical to buy nic mixed in vg. I personally use 100 mg and dilute it down to 36 mg for mixing purposes. My mixes are usually 6mg, mostly 24 mg and sometimes 3 mg. If you want more mileage from your nic, I would suggest buying it at a higher mg unless you do not want to handle that type of nic. Most people here that DIY use 100 mg all the time. It all depends on how comfortable you are with using it in the end along with taking precautions. Mixing using 3 mg 100% vg with say 10% flavoring will only yield nic being 2.7mg. To achieve a certain mix like 10pg 90vg, you will need some extra vg no nicotine to add to the mix along with a little bit higher nic content like 6 mg if you do not plan going any higher. Also if you lower/raise the amount of flavoring, you will need some extra pg as well. Different flavors require different amounts as there is a sweet spot for each person as taste is subjective. Any other questions, do not hesitate to ask. Hope this helps.

So I could buy 100%vg with 6 nic and another bottle of plain vg 0% nic,
Add flavoring pg to nic which would bring down the nic to let's say 5% then add plain vg base and bring the nic closer to 4 or 3.

@kloudz Yes, that would be correct. Do you use the eJuice me up calculator? Adding different % of flavors would also change the amount of non nicotine PG and VG to be added. Lets say you have 100% VG 6mg nic. You want the final mix to be 10PG/90VG @ 3mg. A 30 ml bottle would be as follows. 15 ml of 6 mg nic, 12 mls of non nic (stock) VG and 3 ml (10%) of flavoring. Now if you change the amount of flavoring anything higher than 10% flavoring would cause you to have to take out PG. With not having any PG beside flavor, you can not go higher in flavor higher unless you change the final ratio to like 15PG/85VG. If you go lower flavoring, you will have to add stock non nic PG to the mix to keep that 10/90 ratio unless changing the final ratio to to like 5PG/95VG. Hope this makes sense and helps.
