Carrying around a mech mod

I've spent my time studying about mech mod any battery safety for a year now and I still using a regulated mod. I decided to get one very soon but I noticed that some of them have the locking mechanism in the fire button so I can lock it and put it in my pocket without taking out the battery. But some of them don't have one like the Dotmod petri lite looks like a great mod for a new guy in mech mod and it doesn't have a locking mechanism. So here's point is there anyway to carry around a mech mod in my pocket without taking the battery out?

Joe, I use the Dotmod Lite once in a while....the fire button is stiff, it won't fire in your pocket.

One other thing, the Dotmod is so small it fits in a shirt pocket easily too.

No, it won't fire, the fire-button is on the bottom, recessed in the mod.

I have two of the dotmod lites, damn good mods. I'd recommend the upgraded gold plated fire button.

I'd be more worried about the juice leaking from the RDA than I would about pocket firing

and nothing is completely safe

Nice, but I would ask another question is it COMPLETELY safe though?
It's as safe as mods built the same way. It's not any more dangerous than keeping a lighter in our pocket to smoke...

Some tube mech mod have their button out at the same level as the mod but the question is it all of them that has the locking mechanism?

NC can fire in your pocket. Unscrew the button and screw it back in but upside down. Can't fire that way.

Seems to me a pocket is a damn stupid place to put a vape mod, or a phone for that matter. I keep mine in my purse, if I'm out and about. If I was a man, I'd get a holster for it -- for either.

ive always used a mechs for out & about, never had any problems with them in my jeans or shirt pocket. I only use that pocket for the setup tho. Mainly use mechs that have either flush or recessed as well

By flush button you mean the fire button is inside the mod that's not sticking out?

When everything else fails use duct tape, no just kidding.
Unless that's the only mech you have, maybe keep it at home and carry around a mech that does have a locking mechanism.
I would also suggest getting a flashlight belt holster to carry it, instead of just throwing it in you pocket.

Flush as it sits flush with the box/tube (i.e. Doesn't stick out). Think of something like this

Which is unlike say the Roundhouse which has a recessed button

loosen the atty a crack or use a holster.

Old flip phone belt cases look like they were made for something like an istick and the drip tip goes where the antenna would have gone, works for mech mods too but feels a little funny and sticks out more.

No recessed means it's not sticking out, flus mean it sticks flush with the bottom of the mod
