So forgot to about gravity twice today and thought I could leave my limitless plus and g2 in my pocket lol.
Hello loss of juice and stains!

So I want a rdta that can be closed and left in the pocket on the device.

RDTAs that I like are:
Griffin 25
Boreas
Sense herakles rta-4
Smok Tfv8 and Baby (baby if it comes with the mini rba/rda, and actually works)

All of these are completely leak proof right?

none of them are leak proof if not wicked correctly but they are less prone yes
I though the Boreas and the Griffen 25 RDTA's can be closed off from the build deck thus creating a seal so it wont leak. when i say closed off im talking about the juice spots between the glass area and the RBA.

If those are RDTA's, than yes. I don't really know what an RDTA is anymore. lol. But a tank with juice flow control can be turned off to prevent leaking, although some of them will still leak with extreme elevation changes.

Like the aromamizer supreme that has a separate jfc and the Boreas where the arc/jfc are combined. No leaks when you close the jfc in either.

Forget to close the afc on the Boreas, and if it lays on it's side it will drain completely empty........

This one doesn't leak at all in any position, open or closed , shake it or lay it on it's sides...... Nothing.... Not a drop....

I wish they made it in 25mm. 30mm fits on mostly nothing I'd carry without overhang. And then there's always the fact that the Boreas is $20-30 and the Modfather is $60-70.

The Boreas and the Supreme almost could get a pass because of its wicking method and side airflow. But most of most of those aren't even close to being RDTA's.

Any tank that uses a vacuum to suck up juice, or has the wick's/coils unprotected from your pocket is going to leak on it's side. What you need is something the channels air from the sides or top down under the coils and be bottom filled. Otherwise the best bet unless its a griffin is tossing as big a build with as much wick as you can to fight that tendency.

The Boreas and Aromamizer (V1) were called RDTAs when they came out because they had direct side airflow like an RDA and that was before any of the modern genny style RDTAs came out (well maybe besides the Haze not sure about that).
The rest on your list are not RDTAs.
With most RTA/RDTAs if you wick it properly and close the AFC while not in use you are relatively safe from leaking even without closing the JFC, since if no air can go into tank through the deck no juice will flow out of it either.

just wick the limitles splus differently and no leaks on its side
only time mine has leaked since i change my wicking is becuase the top oring that holds the top cap on was wearing down

I changed that and no leaks again

the trick I use is this
cut the wick however long you want. Ive done it long medium and very short it doesnt matter, what ever you think is right for you
but the trick is
put the collar on first
then wick
and then push the wick into the juice ports so that the completely block off those juice ports

i use a touch more wick in the limitless plus then I would a griffing, but not much more.

As I mentioned
I can leave my limitless plus completely full
lay it on its side all night long
and in the morning it has not leaked.

now if you insist on using so little wick that the wick will not completely fill the juice ports, then it will leak
however
you can then cust very small pieces of cotton to puch down into the juice ports to finish blocking them off
effectively making your wick thick only at the juice ports

Looks like I have been wicking it wrong!
I remove the sleeve. Wick it, fill tank wick coils and sides of cotton if it hasn't beat me to it, then put ring on and cap it and vape. That explains the leaks. When I mean leak I was sitting for 5 minutes with my g2 box and limitless plus and it completely leaked out all over my tan pants looked like I pissed my self from my pocket Haha. Sucked because it was the last bit of the juice I had in that flavor.

alot of people wick that way
and it works
but it will leak
the only way not to leak is to have enough cotton in each juice port so the juice can not flow past the wick and up to the afc

no i will also say i use max vg
i do not know if this method will work perfectly will high pg juice
