Oh m'gosh, the mere thought of a "hiring process" frightens me with some shops. One of our servers came running to me one day in a tizzy - "Teresa, you need to go talk to this dude I'm waiting on, he's opening a vape shop in The Island and you need to talk to him about your juice and he offered me a job!" Now, this guy, my buddy Brandon, just started vaping. I brought him his first setup. At this point, he'd been vaping less than two weeks, and this old fart is offering him a job in a new vape shop...okay. Brandon nagged till I went out and introduced myself to the guy, who proceeds to lean back all cocky and tell me he wants to carry a new juice line. Okay. Wants to know what I can make, so I ask him "Whatcha want? Field's pretty open." He's looking for tobacco juices (ugh) and asks me to bring a few samples for his son to try. "He's a
vaping expert... ( )....he owns a 150w Sigelei...) ...Big woo, Gramps, I own three...
... I politely declined and went back to the kitchen and found Brandon, who was still giddy over the job offer...
Brandon: "He offered me a job! You think I should take it?"
Me: "I dunno, Brandon, you tell me. Can you build a coil?"
Brandon: "No."
Me: "What's a hybrid top cap?"
Brandon: "I dunno."
Me: "What's Ohms Law?"
Brandon: "Uhhh...."
Me: "What's the difference between regulated and unregulated?"
Brandon: "Well...if something is regulated, the laws are stricter...I think..."
Me: "What size batteries are in here?" (Hold up my RX200)
Brandon: "I dunno, but they've gotta be pretty big..."
... He decided not to talk to dude about a job, but the thought that anyone could walk in off the street and work for him kinda scared me. Like I told my friend, you have to know more than how to run a cash register. Some folks need information that could literally save their lives and body parts, and this guy was likely paying minimum wage to dumbasses that could get someone critically hurt...
