New at building coils

I want to start building my own coils for my tugboat to start doing some massive clouds, what is the best gage wire to use? And any other helps would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If your only concern is clouds, could go with either 22-24g kanthal or 24-26g SS for normal coils. Better yet would be 24-26g kanthal parallel coils or 26-28g SS parallel coils.

I personally like flavor over clouds, but get pretty massive clouds with fused clapton with 28g cores and 36g wrap both SS. Flavor is awesome and quicker ramp and cool time than kanthal.

I have often said if i only got 1 wire, it would be 26g kanthal. But after using ss, it would be either 26 or 28 ss.

Being a first time, I personally recommend 26g kanthal or ss. Just remember that ss is lower resistance, so make sure that you stay within you amp limits. If you have an android phone, there is an app called Vape Tool that will be a great help with this.

I myself use just a plain 24g 9 wrap 3mm dual coil as my go to build. Comes out to .2Ω. Good clouds and flavour and a nice warm vape in my mech mod.

I hope that helps.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Was mine too, but now I build around .2. Find a good calculator like the one I mentioned. See what amp your batteries are and just make sure to stay below that. Other than that, have fun. I love building. It's fun.

for tubes ill use 2x24n80 or ss fused with 36 or 38kd or just plain 7 wrap dual coil of 21n90 which is pretty killer.
for series ill use 2x28n80 or ss also fused with 36 or 38kd.
flavor is crisp, clouds are massive.

If you are using mech mods, disregard my post. My reccomendations are what I use on reg mods.

I am having difficulty in getting .2ohm, i have 24g kanthal A1, wrapped 9 wraps to get my target, but it ended with me a .46 ohm
I think one of the wired has 10 wraps and the other has 9, could this be the reason?
My internal diameter is .25

Less wraps means lower resistance.
Both wires need to be of the same length and resistance or they will heat unevenly.
