I've been keeping all of my flavorings and nicotine in a tackle box, VG on top of a cabinet in the kitchen, PG on a desk. I have to move my stuff into the garage and I don't want the heat to mess with anything. Will it extend the shelf-life of my flavorings if I keep them in a mini fridge in the garage? I'm going to keep most of the nic in the freezer, and the VG and PG in the fridge, but I'm wondering if I should just go ahead and keep everything in there.

If cool dark for your flavoring is not an option, the fridge would be better than the hot garage.
Is that a Turbo coupe in your avatar?

@MercuryVaper thank you and yes! I have an '86 and an '87.
Don't want to derail your thread, but yea, love them, always wanted one. Almost bought one new in 85 but didn't. I had a 89 Merkur xr4ti, same engine. Love fords and um mercurys.

I was 4 in '85, but I grew up drooling over my uncle's '86 Cougar XR7 Turbo. I got the opportunity to buy my '86 TC from him in '98 and jumped on it. Had it ever since. It's been my baby for the past 18 years. Spends most of it's time in the garage nowadays and spends a lot of time under the knife. I bought the '87 a few years ago so I could keep the '86 out of the weather. I daily drive the '87.

I almost bought an xr4ti when my youngest kid was in preschool. There was one sitting next to a house for years and I wanted to buy it and bring it back to life. Unfortunately, they scrapped it before I got the chance. Now I'm on the lookout for an SVO...

If you ever get the urge to look for a Turbo Coupe, we have a club called the North American TurboCoupe Organization (NATO). natomessageboard.com is the site and I'm the webmaster. There's usually a few for sale in the classifieds.

Oh, very cool. I'll go check out the website. I just love looking at old lol cars. I still consider the 80's new cars. I really like the hoods of the 86-88. That would be a nice one to have. I'd love to find one with super low miles in pristine condition. I'm even starting to like the cougars of the same years. I always thought they were goofy looking back window, but they've grown on me. I had a 85 V8 E'lan. Dark grey, red interior. It was a very nice car until it got broad sided. I miss it.
I'm just a couple decades older than you.:D

And this is the '86

I prefer pre-1990 cars. The only car I own that is newer than that is my wife's and that's not by my choice...

The only thing I'd be concerned about would be heat cool cycles and condensation build up. Looks good though.

Oh they look cool. Is the 87 dipped? I like the color and wheels on the 86. Very nice. My stable is a 1970 factory 2wd Chevy Blazer on airbags Triple black. I have a 1970 Merc Montego also. I use to have 70 Cyclone Spoiler and Cougar Eliminator. THOSE are the cars I LOVE...Oh yea, I forgot my wifes 79 Pontiac safari wagon with a sbc. Newest car is 01 subie RS. I hate new cars. No style. No personality.

I like the red ('86) better, due to the looks of the head lights. Of course, those rims aren't too shabby either.

Yeah, for long term storage, keep the nicotine in the freezer, and a small amount in the fridge for mixing. If the garage gets hot, it's also wise to keep the flavors in the fridge as well.

You have a nice stable! I'd like to see that Blazer! I also have a '66 Mustang (can you sense the Ford theme here? :) ) I used to have a '50 Styleline Deluxe, but I sold that one to buy the second T-Bird.
The '87 is painted satin black, not dipped. The previous owner had spray painted it "Battleship Grey" and it looked horrible after a year, so I resprayed it.

:) I prefer the '86 nose as well. Most people seem to prefer the '87's "Aero" nose, but I like the 4-eyes...

I put everything in the fridge. flavorings on the top shelf and everything else on the bottom. The garage sometimes get up over 100 degrees. I'm ordering a new batch of nic and some small bottles, and am going to keep it in the freezer.

Wifes Pontiac

70 Montego

70 Blazer

I know I have GM's in the stable, but I have Ford Blue running in my veins. I would love to one day have a 03-04 Terminator as a semi daily driver.

Not to rain on your classics parade.

I have a LOT of nic in the freezer, concentrates will go in the frig. I have SO much DIY it's coming out of my ears. I need my own frig/freezer combo to store it. What is the shelf life of nic in the freezer? Should it be taken out to room temp and burped and shaken and put back in the freezer? I paid a huge wad of cash for all of this. I still have 12 gallons of pg and 4 vg that need to be chilled. I OD'd on the pg. Will sell it since it is used in so many other things like food, soap, etc.

Nope, just leave it alone till ready to use.
Length of shelf life is highly debatable, some say 2 years, and some say much much longer.
Long enough where you probably needn't worry about it.
