So I purchased a subox mini white edition, 50 watts about a month or so ago. Love it so far, but I was wondering what the optimal battery for this kit would be.

I sub with a prebuilt .5 ohm occ or ssocc that I order in packs of 5, generally I fire it at 25-30 watts, but I'd like to bump the watts.

Would this battery be ideal for this wattage or higher even?

AWT 35A 18650 -Red

And thanks in advance, there are so many topics I wasn't sure if this battery was listed. Advice on any other batteries for the kbox mini is also very welcome. ;)

That is the nature of the beast when dealing with single 18650 devices

Thanks for the links. I think I should grab another pair regardless of if I get a bigger box or not.
No problem. Always good to have extra batteries. What bigger boxes are you looking at?

Well I'm not even sure where to start tbh. I bought this mini kit because it was on sale and fell in love with the clouds. :D

The only thing is now I want more, bigger, and better. Ha, this was a step up from my ijust2 kit. The thing is powerful though.

Still I'm digging the external battery of this mini kbox.

I do like the 510 threaded. What kind of setup do you enjoy?

Still new to subbing, but I've vaped on a 1600 mah smok stick... The rinky dink as I call it for 3 years. It retired about 2 months ago. :p

I will add, bottom fill is a bitch ofa hassle to mess with tho. Other than that, I'm happy with my kits.

I'm personally not a fan of bottom fill (squonkers) it's one of the things i guess i "just don't get" not saying it's bad, but just don't understand it's utility.

With that said, Really depends on what you are looking to get into. If you wanted to have ease of use, start using temp control at some point, or really make a hobby out of it.

For my taste, the best 2 on the market are the hohmwrekcer G2 (73.00 on ecig coupon code iloveyou) and the hcigar Vt133 (DNa 200 mod 80 on vapenw with coupon code 20%offLaborday) They are more "advanced" mods and will grow with out voer time without the need to upgrade any time soon. Both have pros and cons (mostly pros though) What exactly are you looking for out of a new mod?

Right now I'm suing the 2 mods listed above. for tanks I have a aspire clieto, Smok TFV4, and Smok TVv8. For RDTAs the avacado 24, and for RDAs the aeronaut, Tsunami 24, and the so horney. But out of teh RDA's i'd only recommend the Tsunami, the others are good, but have a bit of a learning curve and some limitations.

I was thinking the kbox 200? Or the tfv4 setup. I enjoy the convenience of tanks so I haven't gotten into dripping.

Do any of these you listed come as kits by any chance? Ooo coupons. Ty.

More clouds and flavor, longer lasting essentially.

well alot goes to preference to be honest. As far as box mods go, since you aren't into building and want a tank set up. I wouldn't recommend the Vt133. it's overkill and you won't use 99% of it's features. I do still recommend the hohm wrecker G2. it's gonna be bigger then what you have. goes up to 171 watts and it can temp control kenthal with very little learning curve. meaning you can try temp control on your prebuilt tank set up. If you wanted to go with some cheaper options and only look at wattage box mods some people like the wismec RX200s personally I don't care for their products but i won't knock them. I do like the smok line of box mods. I have an xcube 2 i use with a TFV4 tank and I like the look and it works great as a wattage mod (also pretty decent in TC mode) 180 watts if u update the firmware or 160 watts out of the box (firmware updates can be a pain) The improved on it with the xcube ultra that just came out and they can be found for 50 bucks (http://www.efun.top/smok-xcube-ultra-220w-tc-box-mod.html?mw_aref=7514e9c19f8144d076a81176f7d085d4) 220 watts out of the box. I'm sure you'll get lots of different recommendations here though a lot of it is preference

as far as tanks go. My favorite is the TFV8 followed by the TFV4. easy to slap in a pre made coil and holds a good amount of juice and gives great flavor and clouds. another cheaper nice little tank is the clieto that would be my 3rd favorite.

As far as batteries go. There are only 2 i recommend for box mods. LG HG2 or Samsung 30q. they can be purchased here cheap illumn.com or liionwholesale.com

once you find what you want check this site for coupon codes and use vapecrawler.com which will show you what sites are charging for it.

Did you have a price range in mind and do you have an external charger?

on vapenw.com since they have the 20% off (coupon code 20%offlaborday) they have a smok hpriv 220 watt kit with the TFV8 baby best (smaller version of the TFV8 not as good, but apparently from reviews on par with the TFV4) for 45 buck total.

Someday soon I plan on learning how to rebuild. My tank came with a mini plus v2 to play with. I'd like to learn about it.

Around the ball park of fifty or eighty, especially if it's a kit setup. Could go to a hundred with a little saving.

Generally I budget month to month, but those you've mentioned sound like awesome setups.

I use a nitecore 2 bay smart intellicharger. Now I'm wishing I'd bought a 4 bay lol.

Damn! That sounds awesome!

I may have to wait and save up for the tfv8 and give myslef a Christmas present. :p

Hohm wrecker g2 looks bad ass. I may go with that one.
I'm using it right now with a TFV4 tank at 95 watts and 540F in temp control mode. Great vape
2evt8yd.jpg

again it's really based on your budget, I'd take the G2 over any mod but the Vt133 personally, but I think the Vt133 will be overkill for you (so will the G2 a bit) but the good thing is, if you decide to build and wise TC and different wire type, you won't need a new mod.

ecig.com has them for 73 bucks http://www.ecig.com/hohm-wrecker-g2.html
TFV8 for 29 in black 29 in SS http://www.ecig.com/smok-tfv8-tank-kit.html
(but they look sold out of coil packs though)
So 101 total then use ecig10 (one time use 10% off coupon for new customers) to bring it to 91 bucks shipped. IMO best tank/box mod setup out there currently.

That is gorgeous in red! Nice setup you got there.

I may have to get that whole setup and the smok cube you mentioned earlier. Both of them look sweet!

Is that the limited edition? Seriously digging that red.

Thanks so much for your help and tips, I think I'll enjoy these box mods.

I don't think it has a limited edition. only the original did. The G2 should all be the same, just different colors. I also have a blue and silver one on the way. Some people think it's ugly lol I like the way it looks personally. They come in like 10 colors IIRC.

really good deal. they usually retail between 100-125

Going by the pictures they look like a great palm fit and the blue silver is gorgeous too. I can see myslef using this, rebuilding, and sticking a gorgeous drip tip on it for even more flare.

I've bookmarked these sites because I'm about to have to make a diy kit purchase and some coils. If I can't purchase it when I get paid then I'll save and get it when it's on sale again.

My issue will be picking the color lol.

I love my Hohm Wrecker G2s, I have 2 of them. The price at ecig.com is sweet. Small they aren't though. They're about same size of a pack of 100's, so if you have small paws...

You have been bitten by the bug, quality mods, DIY, subohm tanks. Next thing you know you'll be challenging Raymo2u for the coil wars championship...:giggle: If you want to see some truly artistic coils check him out in the coils sub-forum.

that does look pretty cool. Thanks.

No problem, but just a little update... I tried registering to put in an ordesofor a couple tips, and it kept glitching. I tried registering twice and I still never got a confirmation email and can't log in so don't know it might be the website.

Lol I think I have average sized kitty paws, haha. I loved packing my hundreds out of habit when I smoked.

That does look like a sweet deal too.

That'll be my next obsession I'm sure lol. I like mile wide clouds. My family thinks I have a problem, but I'd like to think it's my hobby. One of them anyway. :p

I can just imagine sitting on my bed at 3 am building coils and filling my space up with yummy clouds.:giggle::facepalm:
