What was your 1st ecig if you don't mind me asking? You probably didn't have too many choices when you 1st started vaping?

Wow 2 years- I almost there too- mine is Dec1 woo hoo! I bought a Mistic Bridge in November of 2014 instead of a pack of cigs - gave myself 2 weeks of dual use and then Bam- No more cigarettes! I like you remember my last cigarette and that I was so done with cigarettes running my life!
Now I can pick out smokers in the store by smell- yuck- did I smell like that? Sure did!
You are so right, it doesn't matter what device you use as long as you are not smoking cigs!
Thanks to vaping I only had a couple of rough months, mainly in the AM, but I am stubborn and refused to have another cigarette, I am one that wouldn't stop at 1 or 2 and I was just over cigarettes- forums helped me a lot too, people to talk to in the same boat, or just lurking and reading were such great inspirations to me!

Oh there are still time the smell of a freshly lit cigarette smells good to me but the stink that stuck with me still lingers. I tried the dual use for over 2 years and all that accomplished was to increase my nicotine intake while i fooled myself thinking I was smoking less. Then one day I woke up and said that's it NO MORE! Stuck with it and it hurt physically but I got past it.

The last few months have been stressful as fuck and the last few weeks on some pretty kick ass pain meds.. so ya I wanted a stinky.

That is when I break out some of the 18MG or mix some up if none in stock. Nicotine overload does a good job of doing away with a sticky jones!

Not a lot out there in 2009 as compared to starter kits that are out there today- and the eliquids too, people have it so much better now! My 1st eliquids were the Haus stuff from Walmart and DeKang and finally went to a vape/smoke shop to try some premium brands. Finding good eliquids that tasted good was an ordeal too, most were horrible or I couldn't taste anything, but once I tried at vape shops I could shop for better prices online.

Same thing I do- I have a tank with 18nic for just in case! I have found some good strong eliquid flavors I like and have been vaping 3nic and so far so good with a subΩ tank since June and am happy so far, no cravings! Wasn't sure if I would like subΩ but once I got the hang of Direct Lung hits with higher vg eliquids, I am surprised on how much I am enjoying vaping this way!

I have a bottle with a couple of ML's of 6MG and 18MG for those times I need a kick in the ass! Also a bottle of 48MG Nicotine base to make a bottle of High Test if needed. Never really need it but nice to have for an emergency like a trip to the ER. Nothing better than a nic fix in one vape! LMAO

Oh the quest to find a flavor other than Buck Naked Tobacco! Must have tried over 100 flavors until I found something I could vape!
It took me a while to get it out of my head that I wasn't gonna find an eliquid that tasted like my cigarettes and search out other flavors that I could enjoy instead. I really like candy vapes- my latest favorite is from Mad Cow Vapors- Devils Drip(cinnamon fireball) wow- and not hot either! I am now addicted to that stuff! I like fruit and dessert flavors too!

I haven't tried DIY yet, but now with the Blue Check crap- I should get serious- probably won't be long before it will impossible or too expensive to buy eliquids online and the vape shops in my small town suck- I have been able to knock my nic down to 3 for a few months now and still no cravings!

48MG BASE! Not for vaping but for DIY mixing, you add the proper amount to a bottle to make whatever percentage or MG you want. I do NOT vape base Nicotine.

I go through about 12ml/day and have since starting. 18 was too much. I could actually feel my BP rise with each hit. My wife though, she started on 18, took a year to go to 12, another 2 years to drop to 6 through weaning. She did 6 for most of this year until I got her subohming, and she immediately wanted to drop to 3. She goes through only about 4-6ml/day. So, on a whole, slow and steady wins this race I guess, she's now ahead of me in the least nic used department.

Shh...The FDA is watching.
LOL, there was a cigalike company in business for about a minute near work. Guy saw me using my eVic (3 years ago) and put on the sale charm. His main selling point was they offered 48mg disposables. I laughed.

It took tasting over 100 flavors before I found Fruit By The Drop Tropical Fruit. Then after 1 flavor the experimenting really took off. Then DIY and forget about it something when I get bored!

Fuck the FDA what I make is for my own personal consumption and they can't tell me what I can or can't do! And they can't stop me from donating my time at my local vape shop to advocate and promote vaping as a smoking cessation device.

If I hadn't found an ejuice that was very close to the taste of Virginia Slims, vaping would never have worked for me at all. And that was the ejuice that initially helped me phase out smoking. But when I was fighting that relapse to dual use, it was that Virginia that tasted so awful to me; I had to start vaping sweet stuff to get past it, and get back to smoke-free.

Believe it or not, my minor cravings for a cig didn't disappear completely until I dropped to 6mg. I didn't realize until months after, but after I dropped to 6 (almost immediately) I didn't kind of want a puff if I smelled it, didn't want it at all, still don't. Each of us has their own path though. For me, dropping low enough actually worked to kill any desire to smoke whatsoever.

I really had wanted to be a non-smoker for quite a long time -- started smoking in 1975, and in 1984, first started trying to quit. So when I had been vaping, gradually phasing cigarettes out and vaping in as a replacement, for about a month, and then said ok, that's it, no more smoking, I was completely amazed and delighted to reach 48 hrs without a cigarette or even a desire for one. And that continued without interruption until I had a terrible recuperation from my appendectomy, couldn't vape at all for 4 days, tried getting back to vaping, it tasted terrible, and then cravings just hit me right upside the head -- I was about 4 months smoke-free at that point. I smoked, thinking, oh just for a week or so... nah. It got its claws back into me pronto, and it took me a solid month all over again, to dig them back out, and would have gone back to smoking yet again if I hadn't gotten some WTA. WTA completely removed cravings, but it took 15 months of steady systematic weaning to get free of THAT.

I never found a e-Liquid that tasted like Marlboro even the RY4's which I said I never wanted to try but eventually did. The closest to a cigarette was Buck Naked American and Turkish Tobacco. Did a mix straight to get what I needed to keep me off the cigarettes. What works for you it what works for you!

OMG, I remember chasing the perfect cig flavor. There HAS to be SOMEBODY who makes SOMETHING that tastes exactly like what I am accustomed to, right? Honestly, I've forgotten what smoking tastes like. Smell, yeah, but taste, no, can't remember. I'll count that as a good thing, I guess.

Yet, they wanna take us back to 2007. We're in a sad spot right now.

They need to try and quit on those 2007 pieces of crap. We can save them, lol.

Today on Twitter, I found a link that Clive Bates posted to the legal rebuttal of the FDA's counter-motion for summary judgement, and man, he's right, it's total hardball -- it was hard going, thru all the legalese, but they delineate chapter and verse, every single way that the FDA has overreached, broken the law, and acted contrary to the APA and the TCA, with full citations of precedent and supreme court comments.

Honestly? I find court documents full of legalese less hard-going than talk-show type videos online... I just don't like 'em. The only videos I can kinda-sorta tolerate are Busardo's hardware videos... long-winded, but detailed, and he knows what he's talking about, even if my opinion and his don't exactly match up (his ire at the vv3's "rattly buttons" for example... really I barely noticed them, but he had a major problem with them!). :D

Was a good show. I like live shows, though, for the chatter and discussions that go on, just as much as the show. Lots of good questions being asked, and they answered, too. Good stuff. Terrible, sad and just WRONG kinda topic, but good stuff.

So sad that the FDA wants to continue on this path- with all the advancements in vaping by leaps and bounds in just the last year and now regress back to 2007 technology is asinine! For the money? to save tobacco smoking? To save the children? We as vapers have used 2016 technology and it has kept a good lot of us from deadly cigarettes-that the FDA doesn't care, even if people dual use, even cutting out some cigarettes a day is still a victory. These are Adult lives that we are talking about, my life, my choice, not the FDA or the government!

P Busardo lives a few miles from me! I was watching his Golf Cart eliquid reviews that he would do, and someone asked where that was and he said Beach Ave(Russells Station) right on the shore of Lake Ontario, Rochester NY! To tell you the truth, I have never seen another vaper here, except in a vape shop! By the way, I love my Innokin iTaste vv, and I don't notice rattling buttons either! I don't shake and vape! I really do like his reviews!

Yeah, when I first started, and really didn't know anything about all this stuff, anytime I was considering a new mod, I always consulted his videos; he's clearly a very sharp guy, and I like his personality, though what I like about this videos is that he keeps them very professional. He does tend to be a little long-winded, but some of the more-techie stuff, I just kinda skip over; mainly I was consulting his videos when I started, to learn to use all theswe things, and their different features. The one place where he really didn't help me, was in learning to wick a Kayfun properly; his "bunny-ears" technique is just... sloppy. I've found it much better to cut the wick ends to the EXACT length necessary so that the ends are just resting on the little ledges.

But of all the various vaping "personalities," he's probably the one I'd most enjoy meeting in person; he just seems like such a nice guy. Oh, and Stefan Didak, the SFATA guy! :) Talked to him a bit over at ECF when I was there, and a little on twitter too, and he's another really nice, really sharp guy.

From that court document I read today, if the judge has even half a brain, I don't think the FDA will be getting away with it. I know we all think "how can they do that?" but the fact is that they have TRAMPLED so many points of law, procedure, and acceptable interpretation of those laws and procedures and legal precedents, no judge in his right mind can let them get away with it. That lawyer has nailed their collective ass to the WALL.

Yes to me none of them ever came close to tasting like a cigarette, glad that you found a mix that worked for you! That has been one of the hardest parts of my vaping! Finding eliquids that taste like what they say they are!
There sure is alot of trial and error, it took me months to find one that I could stomach enough to vape! Lately though I have found more hits than misses and have used some great sales to experiment with!
I know taste is subjective but if it says peach, I want it to taste like peach, is that to much to ask? I also try to stay with single flavors, most of them taste better to me that way.

Good- I hope the judge sees how corrupt and stupid the FDA is being! Funny how everyone wants smokers to quit, and when they do, it's not the FDA approved way, which doesn't work either! The vaping community is full of very sharp people and have been excellent in policing their own products- and the whole vape community knows about the good, the bad, and the ugly by spreading the news in forums like these!
I hope everyone at the FDA loses their jobs over this- Oh and the FDA just had their eyes opened on teen vapers- shock of shock- most are not using any nicotine! Kids are kids- if they want to smoke they will find a way, if they want to drink, they will find a way, and they want to vape, they will find a way!
No parent, FDA or government is going to stop that, in fact the FDA could possibly make the vape gear and liquids more dangerous, with black market and unscrupulous companies!

Thanks for the link Andria! We can only hope that the judge will see the ridiculous and overreaching regulations that the FDA has laid out for ecigs and eliquids and put a stop to this! Batteries, coils, glass and eliquids with zero nic as tobacco products? Why is it that FDA approved gum, pills and patches that have nicotine not a tobacco product then, when batteries, wire, zero nic eliquid and glass don't- considered a tobacco product?
What if some genius comes up with a recipe to dissolve their FDA approved pills, patches and or gum in pg or vg liquids to vape? All easy to obtain with the FDA products already deemed safe by them and on the shelves.
There is a lot of great reading on your link and hopefully Nicopure lawyers can get thru to the judge and he stops this madness that the FDA is pulling!

The fact that BP's nic products aren't considered "tobacco products," is, to my mind, the smoking gun, that this whole debacle is really at the behest of FDA's butt buddy, BP. Yeah of course BT wants their smokers back, so they're trying to enter the vaping market, and trying to put the FDA up to approving only "closed-system" vape devices... but that's pretty much standard corporate jockeying for market share, and fully to be expected -- BT is trying to stop bleeding. But BP? I know a lot of folks have some ridiculous idea that BP is some holy, devoted-to-health demigod, but it just ain't so, and THEIR tactics are so slimy and low-down, they make BT look like little angels. They also generate a LOT more profits than BT ever dreamed of... and they want MORE, all the time. That's our real enemy, along with the grasping coffers of the gov't taxman.

If it wasn't so sad, and so infuriating, I really would find this whole mess quite funny -- all the "public health" do-gooders screaming for DECADES, quit smoking, quit smoking.... so we finally find a way to do just that... and they're having eighteen hissy fits a day. :giggle: I'd love to make a gift to all the charitable orgs, all the public health ninnies, of a plaque that reads: "Be careful what you wish for."

I was on his recording of the first vape meet in Ft. Wayne Indiana. He filmed the line of all of us standing out there, before it opened.

Unflavored all the way for me..... still use it every day. 2 more months, Nov. 11th will be my 2 year Anniversary of being smoke free!!! :D

Congrats on your upcoming 2 year anniversary on Nov,11th! Mine is 2 years- Dec1 ! I did not want to go into the new year still smoking and would do whatever it took to get there! I started vaping that Nov 2014 and for almost 2 weeks I dual used, cutting back- but on Dec1, I have not had another cigarette!
Glad you found vaping Unflavored and it works for you! I have found flavors that I like, and if too harsh, I add more VG and all is well!

My 2 year anniversary is this month. 2 years of being smoke free and enjoying vaping.

Isn't it a great feeling? That really is the real beauty of vaping; it not only makes quitting MUCH easier than anything else EVER, but even helps to KEEP you off coffin nails -- I think we all probably swore many times, that's it, I'm done, and next thing you know, we're puffing smoke again. This is a complete and total miracle of unimaginable proportions.

fuck off, FDA, CDC, WHO, Stanton GlANTZ, and every other imbecile with some trash to talk about vaping. Don't need 'em, don't want 'em, don't care what they think -- I KNOW what I KNOW.
