I'm semi new to vaping(3 months) and I have used the ohms law calculator I understand it somewhat but basically I'm just asking for a straight forward answer at the moment. So I am using an istick pico 75w with a melo3 mini tank at the moment with a .5ohm aspire Atlantis coil, ive been using it at 25.5w and the screen says 3.57v, I have an 18650 25000mah 3.7v 25r Samsung battery and all I'm asking is, is since my battery is 3.7v does that mean I cannot vape above 27.4w since the screen shows it is at 3.7v at 27.4w???? Can i only go higher like to say 40w if I am using a higher ohm because I use to use a .3ohm around 38w and it tasted amazing and said a lower voltage than 3.7 and that is what I've always gone by on the screen is to not exceed 3.7v output or else I would be ruining the battery, now is this right and true? Because I'd love to vape at a warmer wattage with my .5 ohm but I'm afraid my battery cannot handle this, please help.

You're fine.
The chip will boost the voltage to attain your desired wattage use. It's been a coincidence that your current use falls within the battery's native voltage, but it will go higher if needing more.

So it's not dangerous for the battery or anything to use it at a higher wattage since it's a regulated mod or what is the cutting point where I probably shouldnt go any higher with my battery, coil, and mod type?

with regulated mods the lower the available power in the battery the higher the chip will adjust the voltage. most devices will simply stop working after a certain point then its recharge time. with unregulated the safe cutoff is usually 3.2 volts in the cell but that does not account for battery sag, age and charge cycles.

So since my mod is regulated if I put it at too high of a watt that the battery cannot handle or cant handle at the moment it just wont work or will cut off so I know? Sorry it's late and I'm just needing it dumbed down a bit lol just trying to make sure I dont dry fry the battery or have it blow up on me lol

if you put it at a high wattage the only risk you have is burnt wicking or dry hits. that or it will cut off and provide a visual warning to recharge most simply will cut off or provide the max it can at that time. example the rx200 none dna version will provide you with the max it can until it can no longer then it will shut off. the pico will most likely do the same.

Use a quality 20 amp or higher battery and run whatever build and whatever watt setting you want. You will have zero issues. Coil voltage and current are not the same as battery voltage and current when using a variable wattage mod. As long as you don't use crap batteries and the mod doesn't have some kind of crazy failure, nothing bad will happen.

Samsung 25r's are great batteries. You're fine.

You are smart and cautious person. As long as you stay on that course you're going to be safe as well. Your regulated mod is protected device. Properly rated good quality battery will always be beneficial to you and your mod and provide you with better all around experience.
