Help with selecting an RTA/Tank - function and juice economy paramount

Hey everyone.

Captain Dabber, absolute noob here. In my short time being committed to vaping, I've amassed a small collection of equipment - a Troll v2, great for flavor, a Cubis Pro, my spitting nightmare, and my newest addition, a TFV8, a beast in every sense of the word.

I LOVE my Troll, and I like dripping - if I'm at home. The Cubis... spits, the coils suck (IMO) and it looks ratty on top of my RX2/3. The TFV8 is awesome - massive flavor, massive vapor, MASSIVE juice consumption, even with my dual clapton .7 RBA deck in it.

I'm looking for a tank for convenience while on the go - at work, at school, etc... I'm okay with prebuilt coils, but I'm guessing I'd be just as happy with a single coil rebuildable. I find myself to be honestly overwhelmed with the amount of vapor that the TFV8 produces, even with a higher subohm build and lower wattages.

TL; DR...
To sum it all up:
I'm looking for something that gives decent airflow- I don't want to be trying to suck a golfball through a gardenhose.
I'm not trying to cloud or flavor chase with this thing.
I'm looking for juice economy, so I'd like to stay with a single coil.
It'd be cool to get honest leak reviews.
I'm open to prebuilt coils, but find myself enjoying building and wicking, so RTA's are cool too. Bonus points for both.
I'm also a D2L kinda guy, so I prefer to stay in subohm ranges (I know, subohm setups eat more juice, but some more than others)

Anddddd..... GO!

Serpent Mini is for you. It's my ADV RTA for work. Or the new Goblin V3 will probably be better even.

am a fan of the avocado or limitless .. easy to build on, flavor and vapor is good .. juice consumption is not insane.

I wanna say SMOK TF-RTA G2.
But my G1 single coil deck for it hasn't swam over from china yet.
SO ....
Anyway - leaking from an RTA is 90% user error, if it leaks it is because the person that built it made it that way....leaky build. So when you see someone saying Griffins are leaky, Herakles RTA is leaky etc.... its not leaky, its their coiling/wicking skills are shockingly bad. :D

Excellent suggestions so far. I'm a fan of Wotofo products so far, and like the looks of the Serpent mini. The Merlin looks like it's a real easy build - what's the AFC and JFC like? Is it difficult/ ambiguous to work with?

FWIW, my TFV8 leaks on a fresh coil fill - RBA or otherwise, just once though, quick squirt. With thinner juices, it'll leak on every fill, regardless of whether or not the AFC is closed. Quick squirt, but still.

Keep the suggestions coming. I'd love to pick them all up and try them all... but I can really only justify one more purchase.

Merlin is easy to build and wick. Jfc and afc are seperate and easy to work with. Tbh I keep the jfc wide open all the time. It even has an air restrictor pin for those who like to mtl vape.

What's the juice consumption like on your TF-RTA?

I only have the dual coil deck at the moment so it is what you would expect for a dual coil but I think it will be good with the G1 deck when it eventually arrives from china. You can also get the Quad coil G4 deck for it which would be good for chucking clowdz but if I wanna chuck clowdz I have better devices for that functionality.

Another one to look at for flavor over clouds is the new Axiom. Easy to build also.

Only way I know of to reduce juice consumption or cost is to 1 DIY the juice and 2 target your builds for the least wattage you can.

Honestly for me i went from a griffin 22 to the Merlin and I'm sorry the Merlin didn't impress me at all I tried all kinds of builds ss claptons fused claptons notch coils regular 26 ss. It just didn't put out the vapor or flavor compared to my griffin. I was so hoping to love the Merlin but she just didn't do it for myself . now I run a herkales and loving it. But everyone is different so just go for whatever you think

I really appreciate everyone's input. I've done quite a bit more tinkering with the TFV8, and have really come to love it - I can't imagine putting it on the shelf for any amount of time. Several wick jobs and a couple other builds, I've found a happy place with juice consumption. I also found a local B&M that sells house juice that I LOVE!!!! 120mL for $30. Spend $100 (in $10 increments) and get 60mL free. All of a sudden, my juice budget isn't a big deal.

EDIT

My prime B&M runs $55 for 120's so... That fueled part of my search. Thank you all so much for your assistance!
