Vaping with Mitral Valve Prolapse?

I know not everyone that is going to reply to this thread may be a doctor here, but just looking on some info on a heart condition that I have and I am looking to see if anyone else is affected by it.
I have Mitral Valve Prolapse, which to my understanding pumps blood differently than others with how the 'flaps' are in the heart? My grandfather actually died of it to my understanding combined with an aneurysm. It scares me a bit but last time I went to the cardiologist it was still classified as pretty minor for me.
I currently vape at 3mg of nicotine and I am curious of I should go to 2mg, or just plain get to 0 if possible. Vaping is a very fun hobby and a useful tool to me to quit the cigarillos and cancer sticks.
How more severe is nicotine to the heart than caffeine in coffee, soda, or even an energy drink?
Do you think I should get a check up even if everything seems 'normal' at the moment?

Not even gonna pretend to give any advice, this DEF should be a question for your heart Doc, I have a leaky valve and am going in for my check up at the end of the month, I am going to ask his thoughts on vaping with my condition, which is not life threatening at this time, down the road a replacement, but other than that all my Doc's said it's better than smoking.

Mitral Valve Prolapse is not uncommon - it merely means your mitral valve doesn't close completely. Many people with MVP never even know it. But there can be complications, the most common being that the valve allows blood to leak back into the left atrium (mitral valve regurgitation). If the regurgitation is severe enough, you might require surgery to repair the valve.

A risk factor for mitral valve regurgitation is high blood pressure. Nicotine, since it is a stimulant, raises your blood pressure (as does caffeine). (Cold weather also raises your blood pressure.) But as long as your blood pressure is normal, I doubt the doctor would worry about it.

Thanks to both of you for your input.
I do have severe anxiety which also raises my blood pressure but I do not suffer from high blood pressure. It's actually reasonably low.
I do believe I have somewhat of a 'leaky' valve but I may be wrong. Either or, my MVP is very minor for the time being. I might just get a check up to double check and ask his opinion about it.

Same here, My BP is always pretty normal, last check on it (valve) I had, was 10 years ago, I figured its time for another check:)

I also need to mention that before I started vaping/smoking I always had 1 to 2 or even 3 Dr Pepper sodas a day.
I'm guessing you could compare those to 3mg of nicotine?
But yeah man, I agree with you lol

I drank a ton of that too, I gave up most my caffeine goodies....LOL

I can't give up soda.
I could give up nicotine and go to 0 if needed be.

How close in comparison is nicotine to caffeine? Cause I do like a buzz here and there.
