Vaporesso Gemini Tank... Ccell Coils... Flavor Inconsistency... Is It Just Me?

I've been vaping on the Vaporesso Gemini Tank (.5ohms Ccell coil) for about two weeks, daily. I am new to vaping and really had nothing to compare the tank &/or coils too, as it was my first(outside of the Kangertech Bottom Doil Coils, used in the Protank Mini 3). I was so excited after reading and embracing all of the good reviews.

At first, I was very happy with it, but shortly after the first few times using... I began to notice inconsistency in the taste. At times the juice would taste good and at other times(more often than not) the taste was not good at all. I wonder if this is a common occurrence? Could it be the coil that the tank shipped with is no good? Could it be something else? I'd like to know others experiences with the Vaproesso Gemini Ccells coils!

I began using my Uwell Crown Crown Tank w/pre-installed coils and found the taste to be consistently good! Unlike the Gemini. I love The Crown!

Would you all recommend I try a different batch of Vaporesso Coils or should I give up on them? I was so excited about the claim of the ceramic coils being so flavorful and long lasting.

Please, share your recommendations on other coils that can be used with/fit inside the Vaproesso Tank?

Hope to hear you all's experiences with the Vaporesso Ccell coils! & recommendations on other coils to use with the tank and/or other tanks and coils(outside of the Crown) to be considered.

There other thing I don't care for with the tank, is that the airflow never seems to close, even with the slot is closed the air still comes through.

I use .9 Ccell coils in it and love it. (most of the time)
In my experience with the Ccell .9 is when they are good, they are good.
But they do indeed lack consistency.
At least in the QC of the coil.
I've not had any go through a change while using the same coil but when changing coils, I've had a lot of inconsistency.
Sometimes you'll get a 5 pack that has 4 good ones.
Sometimes you'll get a 5 pack that has 4 bad ones.
Out of the 30 or so 5 packs I have purchased so far, I have not had 5 good coils in any 5 pack.
But I can say the good ones are just great.

As for other tanks that'll use the .9 Vaporesso Ccell coil, here is what I have found so far;

I find using the Gemini .5 in TC/TCR .0092 at 440-500 Degrees is a much better vape than in Power Mode 35W. Great consistent flavor.

Anyone know if there are other coils that will fit the Vaporesso Gemini aside from there own ceramic coils? I tried a super tank coil in there but did not work. I like the tank but the ceramic coils are really finicky, if I don't have it set up just right I get a lot of spitback which I thought was not supposed to be the case with these coils.

Basically what that thread is , is trying to find out what coils can i use in my target 2 vtc 75w tank??? I see above u said all those tanks will fit the ccell coils, but will their coils fit in the target tank??

Also im looking for a good rba (rebuildable base) that will fit in my target tank?

I do not have the target 2 vtc 75w tank so unfortunately I cannot help.
At least not without spending time to research the tank first.
HOWEVER based on a quick search, it is using the exact same 0.9 cCell coil the previous version used.
With that being the case, that same list will apply.
Wouldn't the RBA from the Gemini fit in this?
I cannot confirm since I don't have either.

The Vaporesso Gemini uses that same coil as well.
So all the tanks I mentioned will work in that too.
From first glance, it looks like they duplicated the Herakles Plus when they made this Gemini.
The original Herakles and the Herakles Plus do NOT use the same coil.
The reason the Super Tank coils don't work for you is listed below.

There is a time where that list would be partially corrupt.
If you had any of those tanks and just randomly grabbed a coil from any of the other tanks, you may want to pay attention to one key detail.
Some of those tanks use top inner threading, some use top outer threads.
So look closely at what your tank requires and then look at whatever coil it is that you think you want to use to make sure they are compatible.
When I edited that list I did NOT take that part into consideration.

@Paratech didnt know the gemini had a rba base. looking into that now.. if it does hopefully it will fit in the target 2 tank

edit: all i can find is the gemini is a rta, it doesnt take prebuilt coils , or a rba that will screw into the base. it has no base. it has a build deck

Yeah, the Herakles Plus and Gemini looked like the came off the same production line. I still have and use my Herakles Plus, good tank.

You must have misunderstood me. Sorry if i was not clear.
Im looking for a rba, a rebuildable coil to put in my vaporesso target2 tank. Not a completely new rta tank like the Gemini .

I got a box of the ceramic coils and YUCK! They tasted like shit. Pretty much they tasted like what I assume heated ceramic tastes like. It overpowered the juice. I tried soaking them in vodka hoping that would removed the taste and it didn't help at all. I've abandoned them altogether.

You must have got a bad batch. Bc the ccell coils that came with my target 2 kit are awesome, the best flavor tank ever hit

I got the Anyvape RBA in today and it does work on the Vaporesso Gemini tank but is not ideal. The biggest problem is that the Gemini has juice flow control and the wicking holes on the RBA don't line up, you can see in one of the pics how only a small amount of the cotton is visible and the other side did not line up at all. I was able to vape on it just fine throughout the day but I was using my Hohm Slice to make sure I did not get dry hits with the kanthal coil because I knew wicking might be an issue. I just got home and put the Anyvape RBA into one of my Tobecco Super Tanks and it works good, a little tight on the draw though.

I am not sure if the other Vaporesso tanks also have juice flow control like the Gemini, if they don't then this might be a good fit.

One other thing I almost forgot to mention is my Gemini did not close completely with the RBA installed, there was a small gap but it was sealed and didn't leak.

Possibly. But after trying three coils, two being soaked in vodka, I'm not taking anymore chances. Didn't really like the Target mod either, however, it's a nice addition to my collection.

I say that about every piece of hardware I add whether I like them or not. haha
On the positive side, I only have 2 pieces I will probably never use again after testing so they are dust collectors of my collection.
1. GooCig Ares Box mod.
It works but is very generic and the screen has to either be on 24/7 or within the presets of 1-9 seconds then locks.
2. HorizonTech Krixus
Just nothing impressive about this in any way. Nothing wrong with it but I just don't care for it.
If I were to add anything, it MAY be the Pioneer4You IPV Pure tank.
Just like the Krixus, it just isn't impressive and to get the full benefit out of it (nothing special really) you need a device that has "Pure Mode".
Like my IPV5. But even in that mode, I found nothing impressive.
But it looks good in BLUE.
