my coil is not getting hot enough to turn my juice to vapor, well some of it is vapor, but I'm getting juice in the tube and mouthpiece. I am using kanger vertical coils 1.2ohm coils at 15.5 watts. I am vaping on a istick 100W. If I turn the wattage up much higher I get a burnt taste. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you in advance!

How old is that coil? Maybe time for a new one, and what VG PG % are you vaping?

The coil is about 3 days old, and I vape 80/20 VG cause I'm allergic to PG.

And forgot to ask what type of coil for what tank? Plus do your batteries have a good charge in them?

Coil, and cotton can be clogged, and not wicking fast enough with 80 VG. I would try another coil to see if it is the problem.

Okay, cool. I will try that. These coils I have now I ordered online, and never have good luck with online coils. This next time I will get them in town.

You have a wicking issue. The power is way too low for that coil. It's burning when you turn it up because the wicks aren't working. Take a needle and poke the cotton in the coil head juice holes. Also, don't fill the tank all the way up. Leave a decent air bubble in the tank. Try again and see how it handles higher power. If you still have no luck, you're gonna need thinner juice.

Loose the Kanger and get a Crown. $25 and you have a beast tank with tons of flavor and the iStick will run it. I had a Kanger for 2 weeks and it just doesn't do it for me.

This is what I had to do with my old original sub-tank when I went to high VG juices to get it to wick right.

if the coil is new, i think the problem is that the power doesn't match well with the resistance

From my experience, the Crown coils are a step down from the Kangers. When the crown coils are working they are great. Unfortunately my crown coils either burned out after 3-4 days or would dry hit on and off. At least with the kanger coils I could get 7 solid days of vaping before they started to drop off. @Matty102 , You should try out the RBA section with your Kanger, its easy to build and works great. I hardly use the Kanger these days but when I do, I really enjoy the flavor from the RBA.

My experience was just the opposite, when I could get the Kanger coils to work at all, they sucked, and my Crown coils last 2-3 weeks vaping hard. When I say hard I mean 80+ watts, 50 ml a week. Any more I use my Tornado all day and my RDAs at night, but still. I have never had a Kanger experience that could even be remotely classed with an Aspire Triton, let alone a Crown. I will say that Crown coils like to be primed a certain way other wise they fail, but that's it. The only time I ever had a dry hit on the Crown was when I pushed the .25 up to its 120watt limit and fried it.

I've always been envious of people who's crowns work for them. It's such a well made tank and when it worked for me had amazing flavor. I wanted it to work so bad I had four of them. glad you are enjoying it,
