Battery life

A quick question on battery life. For my wife, I set up an Eleaf Istick Pico on temperature control using a single 32 gauge nickel coil at 0.18 ohms wrapped around a stainless mesh wick in a steam turbine atomizer. She likes it and vapes at about 450 degrees F. The IMR 18650 LI-MN 35A high drain battery is marked 2500 mAh. She's a pretty steady Vaper and got around 4 hours out of the battery. So, the question is, does the battery life seem reasonable?

Depends as well on the wattage setting she uses. Comparing vape times is a bit apples and oranges since everyone has their own style of vaping. I've had good luck with LG HG2's in the Pico and other mods. Part of that may be that my Sammy 25R's and Sony's were getting a little long in the tooth. And that I rarely stick to a single mod for the entire day.

Thanks for the replies. I understand there are too many variables to do a pure comparison. Just interested in the thoughts and experience of others. She feels she got less run time from her batteries while using the Pico on wattage mode. Since switching to TC mode the wattage varies to maintain the set temperature. Initially it draws a high wattage to heat the coil and juice then the power drops dramatically once heated. As you draw air over the coil you can see the power rise on the display. If she stops drawing it goes to temp protection which shuts off the coil power and turns it back on as the coil cools. This should equate to a lower average wattage. She says she gets no burnt taste or dry hits anymore.
I measured the voltage of the last battery she used, it was 4.2v going in and 3.4v when the Pico declared it weak.

The best part is, Neither of us has had a cigarette in 2 years.

What wattage is she using for TC? If you lower it to where it comes up to temp but doesn't hit the limiter you will also save some battery life.... 4click when in TC get you the watts setting. Works the same as stop and go driving does with gas mileage and your gas tank.

I find I like to use about 5-10 watts more in TC than I do when using VW.. So I get better life with VW. So Far.

Great minds must think alike...lol. 'Cause, that's pretty much what I did for her.
She has 2 mods on TC, the Pico (75 watt) and a Cloupor mini+ (50 watt). Both would slam full wattage into the coil, overheat it and then the temp control would kick in and lower the wattage but it would swing back and forth.
The Pico was also randomly burning the 32 gauge nickel coil wire out like a fuse.
After lowering the peak allowable wattage to just over what is needed to heat the coil to set temp, no more blown coils, battery life has increased dramatically and the wattage doesn't swing wildly so the TC is more accurate. It also takes noticeably longer for the battery to charge as well.
She also started having a problem with the Pico saying "Device too hot", even though it was cold. It turns out is doesn't like button top batteries, a switch to flat top and that problem has never returned. I can't get my head around how the button top vs flat top could make a difference though... but it does.

I use a panasonic NCR 18650B, 3400mah, it's only a 10A rated battery.
I average about 8-10 hours when running a clapton .7 ohm, in a Theorem at 25 watts, on my PICO.

I got her 2 new Samsung 25R's @ 2500mAh. They are lasting much longer. After seeing the difference I don't believe that the other batteries are actually 2500mAh as labeled. The current coil on the Pico is 32 gauge nickel Ni200 @ 0.24 ohm running at 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

Awesome that it's working better now. Sorry you got some overrated batteries before.
I only buy batteries a few places. There are just too many rewraps and counterfeit batteries around.
