Just got a griffin today and was wondering what builds everyone is using in theirs. And also I heard wicking can be tricky so if anyone can give me any recommendations I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

I put a plain dual coil in mine (SS316L) with a 3 mm ID, works just fine.

I used twisted coils but changed to Claptons and its delicious. What I do when wicking is I put my cotton on and take the cap press down to make marks on the cotton then cut the cotton slightly below the mark then gently put in between the juice well ring. Put some juice on the cotton and see if I have to make any more cuts at that point put the tank on close the juice wells put my juice in open the juice wells then my air flow and finally put the cap on if u did it right, after a min u should see about a mm or two already soaked into ur cotton.

Did you make the claptons yourself or but them? I did just a simple 24 gauge dual coil and wicked it just kind of how I thought it should be and it's doing amazing. I've always hated tanks I've gone through a kanger subtank, a aspire tank, and a tfv4 and hated them all but the griffin is amazing and now looking at the "godfather" I know that's the wrong name but I think you know which one I'm talking about and there are a couple others cause dripping while driving or always carrying a dripper got annoying at times. But like I said I need that pic to show him.

Yeah I make my own coils they don't look picture perfect but do the job for flavor. I hear yah droppers suck at work but on that note look up ez dripper it's a device u can attach to windshield or window u push ur atty on it and drips for you my local shop sells it for 35$ well that's if u drive as much as I do. But that was the same reason I got the griffin.

Ive tried a few builds and a simple 24G .3Ω tastes the same as claptons, but with much less ramp-up time, to me

Neunerball I ended up doing a .25 ohm dual kanthal and it's working great but I might do a SS later

How do you guys do quotes and the ohm symbol

I got a Griffin 25 today and have two 24 g kanthal coils (.3 ohm) that the guy at the shop made for me to illustrate how easy it was.
I haven't built on it yet, but I can say this:the taste is outstanding compared to the kanger sub mini tanks I built single coils on earlier in the week.
I'm really looking forward to fiddling with this thing

I love the griffin, but after I got the tfv8 it kinda ruined me on other tanks. In my opinion, the v8 is easier to build on and has just as good flavor of not a shade better. The Griffin has a bit of a learning curve on the wicking, a trick I use is to use a safety pin to push the wicking to one side after u put the ring on to really open up the juice channels.

I usually use 28g SS 316L for dual coils, and 26g for single.

To quote, you click on the REPLY (bottom right). The Ohm symbol is probably a special Character, that you can insert on certain PCs.

When I wick my Griffin 25, I prefer to unscrew the little ring where you tuck your cotton in....wick the coils, leave the leads long, drop a bit of juice in each corner where the ring will be replaced so that the cotton lays flatter...then I put the ring back on, trim the cotton and pull up on it a bit near the coil so that the cotton isn't hanging down too far at the ends. It's way easier for me to wick without that ring on than it is for me to try to stuff the cotton down into those tiny holes....good luck!
