Just received some vape mail today, and my nicotine is ever so slightly pink. I mean really really light pink. It is 100mg and in 100%VG. Anyone heard of this before? There is no odd smell, and I made a flavorless test sample to try it out. Not peppery and tasted fine, what gives. Anyone seen this before?

The first batch of 100mg I ever bought (came from Heartland) was that way. It's been vaping just fine, though, and tastes fine. From what I read, it's not an uncommon phenomenon for it to sometimes be slightly pink. From my understanding, it's slightly pink in the very first stages of oxidization, just like how rusty steel has different shades of color, depending on how oxidized it is. And, that it's nearly impossible to get nic that doesn't have at least a teensy bit of oxidization to it, simply because of it's chemical nature.

Thanks for the reply @outwest I popped it straight into the freezer. Sounds like nothing to be worried about than?

I'm no expert on it, but I wouldn't worry, no. Like I said, mine's been fine and I've been using it for over a year now (most of it in freezer, taking out a small bottle at a time to use) And, from what I've dug up on the net, it's pretty common.

It's lightly oxidized and fine. Some turn yellow, some pink. It's normal.

That said, now-a-days I'd be a little unhappy to get nic that was already tinted. Not a big deal for sure but I'd prefer it clear.

The TH nicotine I used to get from VapersTek was slightly pinkish. Not a thing wrong with it; in fact I can't even say it's got anymore TH than any other nic I've used, from ECX or Wizlabs.

Possible the hot temps during shipping can also play a part in it, but not always.
I tend to prefer ordering my NIC in the Winter, but when you're getting low you don't have much choice in the matter.

I think he meant strange and not homosexual nicotine, I'm sure he supports a nicotines right to choose who it loves.

Honestly, I don't keep nic in the freezer, I don't think it helps. But if you do and it's in a plastic bottle, transfer it to glass.
Though I would add pg and get it to 50mg nic
in the bottle you keep out of your freezer. it
will make it thinner and a lot easier to use, and prevent you from getting nic sickness when you spill it. Just saying. Also next time you might want to just get pg nic.

The pink comes from too many air bubbles, when the pure is diluted. It's perfectly fine to vape.
