So, anyone tried the Peanut by FA, especially in comparison to TFAs peanut butter?

Liking peanut butter in recipes was a surprise to me and am now curious about the regular peanut flavor, especially in a caramel corn type recipe

This is a pretty good caramel corn:

1 percent TFA peanut butter, 3 percent TFA vanilla swirl, 10% caramel (Cap) and 5 % Kettle corn from TFA.

I want to do a batch of peanut butter cookies but haven't settled on a recipe yet

Darn everything but the corn lol

I've done tons of variations on this with brown sugar extra, acetyl pyrizine and buttered popcorn and several different caramel brands. That one is the best for my taste.

I'm wondering if the straight peanut would be good now :)

Just a FYI, some like to mix CAP PB with TFA PB.
I like the idea of that Caramel Corn tho as I'm not a big fan of PB vapes.

I think I'll buy it on my next order, unless I hear credibly thumbs down reviews on it between now and then.

I usually order flavors once a month or so and already placed an one last week, so it'll be awhile.

The FA Peanut is just that, peanuts only, no butter. I do think the flavor is authentic however. I think it might work well in combination with other peanut and/or peanut butter type recipes but to be honest, I haven't tried mixing with it much so far due strictly to time constraints.

That's what I am hoping for.

I was surprised that peanut butter actually tasted good in a vape (sounds disgusting to me, lol) but am now hoping to hone my recipe a little.

Vapes ... they aren't just for bakery and fruits anymore!

I like trying ones outside the norm myself, they make for a nice change of pace. I was never brave enough to try the Crab juice though ... seafood is one area I just don't see working well. :D

I mixed with that recently and have to throw out everything that flavor came into contact with. I thought it would be funny/ interesting to use as a friend sent some to me as a kind of prank... It is vile!!!

Hello, Ms. Lucy!

@HeadInClouds wrote at length regarding the the nuances of FA flavorings. While subjectivity always enters into these descriptions, HIC has a remarkable palate and the ability to express well his impressions. Of FA peanut, he wrote that it tastes boiled, not roasted. I've never tasted a boiled peanut nor am I anxious to do so but I bought this stuff before I read HIC's description and whatever this tastes like, I've not found a use for it.

@Heabob is an exceptional source of information. If you ask him about gooseberry flavoring, he will name the six or eight different brands he's tried and his impressions of each. As with HIC, I've not gone wrong following his recommendations but this mixing of CAP and TFA peanut butter is indicative that some DIYers are missing PB affinity gene which you and I share. The result of this unholy union is that it's just not good enough and mixing two flavors to get one sorta passable flavoring shouldn't be necessary.

Many vapers complain that commercial liquids flavored with PB taste wrong and I shared that opinion prior to mixin' my own. As a consequence, I have tried a number of PB flavorings in search of the Holy Grail which, apparently doesn't exist. Nonetheless, I was confident that, much like self-gratification, I could handle it to my personal satisfaction.

A couple have emerged, not as the best of the best but the best of those that I've tried so far. Actually, pretty damn yummy. To find out what these are, tear off the top of your piano and mail it with just $19.95 to ....

OK, reset. Soon to appear at BCV thanks to their willingness to stock virtually any customer request (bless 'em) Hangsen PB is accurate (think Jif) and mixes well. It hasn't been available in the US since BuyHangsen.com joined the annals of Internet history, so BCV's willingness to stock it is a goodness. A recently acquired version by Flavorah shows great promise but it just came in yesterday so has passed only the sniff test.

Since I've not done so previously, Lucy, welcome to VU. They said you'd meet some interesting people here and I'm one of 'em except for the interesting part. Fun place, huh?

I'm a huge pb fan and as far as buying a juice that is good with pb flavor you should try mech sauce big nutta witch.....it has a nice pb flavor at the start with a mild chocolate and marshmallow follow up. It's the best premade pb ive came across.

This is a commercial juice, not a DIY flavoring, right?

"sauce big nutta witch" strikes me as random words strung together but I'm an idiot so am incapable of intentionally offending anyone.

Thank you for the thought, Randy, but this is the DIY section. There are other places on the forum where users would be anxious for the information but It would be unlikely they'd look in the DIY E-Liquid - General Discussion area. :)

It's good that you for one don't mind, Lucy. I hope you caught the longish post above with the Peanut intel.

Over the years, it has been the habit of people with only a couple or three month's experience at VU to post in the wrong category.. We try to gently nudge them as an off-topic post is lost on those who might benefit most by it.

Thank you....

As you see above, it was not my intent to offend. I see now that you registered in mid-2014 (as I did) so probably know your way around but they'd love a recommendation like that in the made-to-order e-liquids. Lucy, for one, doesn't mind nor do I.

But as Lucy said, she doesn't buy much juice anymore. Very few in this section do buy e-liquids; I haven't done so for over a year.

I wish all well in their quest, whatever that may be.

I just grabbed some Flavorah Peanut Butter.
Prob the first peanut butter concentrate I've tried that has captured the saltiness of commercial peanut butter.
Just added some to a vanilla malt mix I had lying around and I'm quite impressed.
Can definitely work some magic with this one me thinks!

Not trying to revive an old thread, but I LOVE boiled peanuts! After reading this I HAD to add FA Peanut to my first order of flavoring! OMG! I hope it does taste like boiled peanuts! I would love that!

And now I had to add another flavor. *sigh* And Flavorah isn't exactly cheap. I might have to delete something. I think I might be too far over what I wanted to keep my first order down to.

Even tho I ended up ordering it, I have no idea what to do with it if it tastes like boiled peanuts! I usually boil them with dried red pepper and whatever other hot pepper powders I have. But I have yet to see a cayenne flavor. Just capsaicin and jalapeño.

My original plan was to try it in place of peanut butter in a pop deez juice clone. Just haven't gotten around to it yet, lol

I've tried everything apart from Hangsen. Flavorah sounded promising but it's just as bad as the rest.
Flavourart has the most authentic peanut flavour but you need to be really creative to turn it into peanut butter; I wish I had the time and patience to experiment.

The peanut butter from Cupcake World I believe is the the best one I've tried. It's the closest to peanut butter, while being close to a more authentic peanut flavour, similar to flavourart. The problem I always have is that I can never get it to have that nice creamy consistency that regular PB has; they all seem very dry to me.

Well, you're likely to always have a lack of the whole oil thing going on in peanut butter. Question is, how close can you get? People in the flavor labs combine flavors all day trying to get the flavor right. We're pretty much doing the same thing on the other side with recipes. But we have no food to work with, so we need a lot cleaner flavor than some people. In other words, getting close is likely possible, but it might take some time to get it exactly right.
