Going Bad?

I just got a wismec rx200. It holds 3 of the 18650. They are 3.7 v 2100 mAh LGDBHE41865. They are married. I think they were new about a week ago when I got them. I got from another member from here. I charged them yesterday and put into device around 6pm and here it is 9am the next day and I'm down to 1/2. Now I don't hit it a lot but I'd think they should last longer than that. I'm using a Herkales plus with .4 dual coil at 5.3 volts 74watts. Are they going bad or since I'm at 5.3 volts should I look for battery that is higher in voltage? What do you all recommend?

3.7V is the standard nominal voltage for an 18650 li-ion battery. 4.2V when fully charged. You aren't going to find a higher voltage battery. As far as battery charge life, the variables are many. Perhaps a regular RX200 user could speak to their results.

Do the upgrade from Wismec's site. I turn off my RX200 when not in use. I use the 3000mah brown LG 20 amp batteries myself...;)

Yea I think I'm going to go with the brown LG I think I need that 3000 mAh instead of the 2100 I have now. Also will the upgrade help with battery life?

It's easily possible that you are just going through them that fast. Always good to get a couple extra sets.

In total, I have 11 pairs of batts and I normally go though 4 pairs of batts a day vaping at 90 watts on RDAs under 0.2 ohms. I have to have 2 chargers or I can't charge them as fast as I use them and forgetting to charge them overnight is a pain since 6 of my pairs are older and don't hold as much a charge.

First off, the resistance doesn't matter here, it's all about the watts. 74 watts with a 1 ohm setup will last pretty close the same amount of time as with a 0.1 ohm setup. Voltage also doesn't matter much, that's not battery volts but voltage regulator output.

I think those batteries are rated 2500 mAh, but I'm not real familiar with them so I'll stick to your 2100 number.

At a given wattage, it all depends on how many drags you're taking and how long the drags are. I entered your data into the Steam Engine battery drain calculator. 3 batts in series average 11.1V, so enter that into the battery voltage boxes. I used a 2100 mAh battery preset. At 74 watts you should be getting around 17 minutes total run time, or 204 five second drags (or 102 ten second drags).

I have two RX200's and I know these mods don't empty the batts all the way (which is a good thing for battery life :)) so you won't get all the time from the calculator. Your battery performance doesn't sound bad to me but I vape at 40-50 watts, at my vape pace and with my batteries.

Also, when the RX200 reads half battery left, it's closer to 1/4 battery left or less.

if its the dna version be sure to find a proper battery csv file and upload it. if the none dna version you could also be sure the sled grounding wire is tighten located behind the foam plug.

Thank you Ryedan that's awesome info. Thank you for doing that. My batt says 2100 mAh on it so that's why I put that. Might order 2 new sets. Like the LG HG2 3000 mAh. Thanks again. That's awesome that you can find and input all that info.

the batteries you described - if you google them are rated at 2500mah not 2100. so if they say 2100 on them - i think something is off. I have 2 of them myself and they should be in a YELLOW wrapper and until yesterday mine had a sticker saying 2500mah. I rewrapped them yesterday since they were torn. anyway. mine are over a year old and get daily use. I use them in a d2 which is a single battery mod. I use that at 50watts all day and get with heavy vaping 6-8hours out of a full charge. and by heavy vaping i mean I can vape about 8-10mls before I need to change batteries

I posted pic of my batteries. Maybe they are super old or new.

What ever you do, don't buy those LG's off Amazon or Ebay, as they will most likely be fakes. There is a huge number of fake LGHG2's going around right now. Liionwholesale.com, IMRbatteries.com are two good sources. IMR recieved a large number of fakes some time ago, but has since corrected the problem.

What is the best battery to buy for my rx200? I vape around 70-90 watts and have .2 or .4 coils in them.

Yeah LG HG2, or Sony VTC5, or Samsung 25R.
