i have it for about 2 years, my levels have been around 120, with meds, i do not check daily as i should , but do watch my diet, have lost almost 80 pounds in the 2 years, i don't check my sugar daily , any one know if vaping sweet juice will cause my sugar level to be higher? i checked this morning and it was high 240, but i mistakingly ate snack pretzels and coffee, 3 hours before. don't know if the juice is doing it. i have checked about a month ago, and it was the same number 120,. analog free 7 plus months, any experience. Im hoping it was the food, i checked the bag and they are very high in carbs 27 per serving and i pigged out with 3 servings , thanks for any input. paranoid till i can reset my clock in 24 hours.

I doubt it has anything to do with the juice. Try checking your sugar on a more regular basis so you can see what your trends are. Like before meals and two hours after, and the same for when you vape. That would probably give you the best comparison. Sounds like you're keeping pretty good control though, good job! I'm used to patients in the 400's.

Lol thanks SharkVape. Just trying to help. I work for an endocrinologist. About half the patients I work with are diabetic. Hope it all works out!

VG is technically a sugar alcohol and does eventually get metabolized but it's effect on blood sugar is negligible. VG is considered a safe sweetener for diabetics and is often added to sugar free foods to improve mouthfeel and sweetness. Other sweeteners in e-liquid like sucralose also have no direct effect on blood sugar, but may have some impact on insulin secretion which can be a concern to people with diabetes or metabolic syndrome.

I have Type 2, diagnosed in August and still working on getting my a1c down. At 7.3 now, was originally over 9.
I started vaping almost a year and a half ago so I was quite concerned when I found out I had type 2.

Did a lot of research and found that many people with Type 2 had concerns as well and tested it.
They spent a day or two testing their blood often while vaping heavily, then not vaping at all for a day or two while checking their blood often.
Several different people did these tests and they did them several times. The differences were inconsistent, sometimes it was higher when vaping, sometimes it was higher when not vaping. But aside from that, the change in blood sugar was so minor that it could be contributed to other things, like meals or varying levels of physical activity.

On a side note, my love of sweet foods has been replaced with a love of candy and desert vapes.

Wow! That weight loss is amazing! Great job. And I'm glad it wasn't the vaping that made your blood sugar spike. Keep up the great work. I don't have diabetes but I work with it every day and it's awesome to hear someone motivated to improve their health.

Great job on your a1c! I think a lot of the dessert vapes are better than real food sometimes. Lol

I'm a type 2, have been for the majority of my life, I'm on a pump, and have been for the last 10 years, I too have watched my sugars closely while vaping, and I have not seen any change in my sugars. While vaping does dry your mouth always go for water, avoid other liquids (like sodas, tea, juices) trust me on that ;)
