Does anyone know of a resource, i.e. website, thread. That discusses how to build your own mods. I want to build a ecig out of an altoids can and some other things. and I dont know where to start. I currently vape on a Nemeisis with an omega rba and an aspire nautlis. looking to change it up a little. thanks. was hoping to use 18650 vtc5

Do you know whether you want to use a regulation board and if so which one?

There's so many resources and answers to give on this that I'm not sure which way you want to go or where this community will direct you so I'll post later with some links when I see. Many vaping forums have an extensive modding area including Reddit dedicated to various builds e.g. DNA, SX, LM, OKR, and box builds like Hammond, NES and tin mods.

In the meantime I'll say sign up to all the Facebook modding groups to see their builds and ask them questions on them, look for "Steeljan" on youtube. She will teach you the basics from the begining and also focus on key areas or the best all rounder is "Tin Your Tip" with Gary Dibley.

Both above do both. Motovapenstine on youtube makes a lot of unregulated tin mods. When building mechs you should consider researching protection like trippable "poly fuses"

I would like to. I would like to build one out wood. I work in a lumber yard so wouldn't cost me anything and I could mill it to any thickness.

Yes wood is quite popular atm. I'm starting to see more homemade ones pop up on Facebook. My friend is making them from wood. He says he's glad because he's still a beginner and it's a cheap option when making mistakes.

Looking at building my own mod/probable line as well. Is there a company that designs or builds from your design you send them? Got it all drawn out and planned out got all the URLs for materials as well. Best site was a windchime site that supplies pipes and tubes from squares to rounds. Anyway, got the drawing engineered just lacking time now so looking, if possible, for a company that builds sent-in designs.

If your design is good enough china will copy it :p

As for a site that supplies modding gear I think that other than the boards and 510s, the world's your oyster. You just have to spend time digging the Internet for the best deals in wire, switches, boxes and so on. If you go to a vape vendor to buy them you'll pay a lot more.

Been thinking the same thing myself. Though I would like to just have a drip tip on top with bottom feeding after I've practiced a bit on building the electronics.

so im looking for a diagram or thread or anything on how to build a simple semi-mechanical box mod. im having trouble finding info on how to connect the batteries in parallel. I checked the links you guys provided but did not get any information i am looking for. any help is appreciated. thanks

Very nice! Thinking about starting to build some. At this point I'm all in not going back.

Definitely want to build! I work at a machine shop and I'm honing my skills daily. I have material at my disposal, just need the time to design and build! I unfortunately was convinced that I was the first person to think of a NES mod. That was a painful realization.

Nice builds, how do you like the 26650 mods compared to your 18650 mods?
I found these at fasttech, they have a slide style door, so no screws or magnets needed. Stuff is packed inside though.

Here's a few of my builds. The triple series in the middle is a beast

This kinda goes with this thread. Does anyone know where I can get magnets and the right adhesive to replace the screws in my HANA Modz with magnets?
