no one has judged the mod.
But if a mfg wont answer simple questions about it when asked is that a product you would want?
Exactly. Kanthal change is not predictable. I understand it's supposed to be a proprietary function. But how does it do something is not asking for the source code programmed I'm the chip. It will be "reverse engineered" and cloned pretty directly if it does what they claim anyway. But how does it keep a consistent temp with kanthal is not asking for the algorithms used. Is it completely different than what's available? Like the m80 (which does limit temp just poorly) or like a dna40 device that adjusts due to change in resistance of the nickel wire. If it's the latter that's a very big claim.... And of course people will be skeptical of it.

It's wrong to basically outright lie to generate buzz and get a few hundred people to lock in a pre order. Yes they should have waited for someone to have it in hand but the manufacturer should be giving complete accurate information, not ducking and doging questions that can and should be answered. Patent or not, if it's worth it, it will be cloned. Hell, the patent may help them reverse engineer it quicker!
If it does what they've been claiming then I'll have one, but I guarantee there's a "catch" involved.

That must mean it's been in production for a while or at least a few prototypes have been made. How many things you think are in his queue to review atm? Not to mention he "spends" a significant amount of time with these devices... I don't see it being reviewed next week. Or the week following. Actually that statement makes me trust this less.

I stand corrected... Looks like it will be his fathers day gift to us. I guess ill wait for his review to find out how it works. I feel better now

I still think the name sucks for it regardless of if/how it performs. No one will call it the Asolo...it will either be called the "Han Solo" or "Assholo" mod (depending on performance?)

Busardos , at the beginning, he email me saying he will review the Asolo, but he contact me last week,he change his mind, he say he only review mod under 100w, we will also do 75w mod with same chip, but only when 200w Asolo sell for a month.
if you would contact Busardo, and let him do this review, i will send him the product for review.
anyway, we have other famous reviewer prepare this Asolo.
you will able see the full review for this mod very soon.

we knows no matter it have patent or not, it will be cloned, we have our concern, if we release all information, clone product will doing right now, but if we release only the function, they can't clone the function.
even a lot of customer want to order, we keep them waiting, as soon as all stock ready, and the youtube test video ready, we will give complete accurate information. we promise.
this is a new temperature control mod style, and no other temperature control mod able to compete with. it is a big claim, but we have done all the test now.

Everyone wants a free one to review...Im just waiting for the moment when its tested and if it actually works, the look on the faces of " well i thought i knew it all but i was wrong", look...Been there done that myself.

I seriously doubt a company trying to make a name for themselves will make a claim so big and it not work..In all honesty how it works isnt any ones business but the manufacturer or the creator..Coca Colas formula is still a top secret today and only a hand full know its true ingredients and amounts there of...Yet people buy it because they like it ,even not knowing whats actually in it.

Im a "show me" type of guy myself and even then i still cant believe what i see sometimes.

I have no doubt competitors or cloners will get their hands on one and figure it out but i can see why they would keep exact details a secret for now.

Just wait for it and see how it pans out...IF it does work then buy one and brag you have the most advanced mod out there.

IF it doesnt then ill pat you on the back myself and say "good looking out".

I wouldn't exactly call them new
They've been around since 2007
http://www.ijoyecig.com/a/guanyuwomen/zhiliangyoushi/

And a again, no one asked them to give up the design or trade secrets - Just simple questions on what methodology was employed.

Everyone here has had an open mind and no one has judged the product, rather the lack of presentation.

Ok..so something old with a NEW twist thats supposedly something no one else has at the current time (works with kanthal)..I like the battery amp load readout on the display..no one else has that ive seen...the LCD itself is just entertaining to say the least.

EDIT: Misread...Ok so them having been around since 2007, i doubt they would destroy that with false claims...Time will tell.

The ipv2 being another. Not the 2, the 3 my bad! That one that needed a fire extinguisher with it if you wanted to use it.

Then reviews of the clone will be waited upon...lol

Im disappointed in my Cloupor mini 30 that burned up..Had higher expectations with all the time theyve had to work out bugs of the hana clone chip..I still have a cloupor hana 30w clone that works fine but havent been using it much.

The whole temp control thing just hasnt caught on with me.
I find if i wick properly and dont make a juice too thick i dont get dry hits at all...Especially on my nano i think i figured out already an im loving at 18 to 20 watts.

I use and rotate with non-tc builds at times. Took a dry hit yesterday at 85w and thought my chest was going to roast marshmallows.
I normally drip between 45-50w on tc and sometimes slap a dual parallel build and go up to 85-90. Even with tanks I rarely go below 25w anymore.

I had to return my cloupor mini due to it draining multiple batteries below 2.5 volts. Even when I turned it off the sucker would still discharge the battery.
I wouldn't trust a clone of the Asolo at least not the initial one. Some of the 3rd or 4th iterations of the dna40 clones work better then the authentic one.
I really do wish Busardo would review this device as he is the only reviewer with a scope that I know of. Hopefully he will change his mind.

No one said anything about keeping the mod they review. A good, unbiased review would assume the mod sent back, or on to another reviewer after the initial review

Most reviewers i know get to keep the mod..Such as the case with one reviewer who sells the products they've reviewed on here if they wont use it or dont need it.

Unless Asolo sent a return postage envelope to ship it back i wouldnt want to review it if it had to be sent back...Its like 25 30 dollars or more to ship to china.

I've never "met" nor do I personally "know" any reviewer; however, I've written a few of my personal evaluations on another forum. As a matter of principal, I would happily ensure that they got the mod back.
Or donate it to the vapes for vets group.
They probably have experience with explosives.

I've become a skeptic simply because of the companies that post exaggerated claims about their products... it's always claimed to be the best, most innovative or whatever... it's not something I like and when I see a company doing that to an extreme... I'll usually steer clear of them and not purchase even if the product does turn out to be ok.

Still... I'm used to seeing it... and because of that I won't believe anything a company's marketing staff claims until there is verification from a 3rd party.

Still... if those same companies make a wild claim and then don't want to provide some type of proof of it... like in this case. I have to respect that is their option. I'm not going to continually act like a troll and repeatedly ask for proof when they clearly aren't ready to provide it. To me, that puts a person acting in that manner, lower than the marketing people that make those wild claims.

Ahhh enter the people that buy whatever, on the word of a manufacturer without concern or curiosity.

Considering television tech is a relatively simple, well known and established technology- no I don't.

Now, had a TV manufacturer came I into a forum with some new form of technology, you bet your ass ill ask them. Im willing to bet though, I wouldn't have to, they would be proud of the endeavor 2 weeks before release and freely disclose it! Let alone a Magnavox comes apart pretty easy.

Now, if these people/person/company would not be lying with every answer they gave I would have stopped.

Release date on there website is 6-25 but they are waiting for a patent?
Busardo is reviewing it one day but two days later he's not?

You guys wanna be lied to by manufactures and just take it, go on right ahead. But a manufacturer comes onto a public forum its my right to ask a question just as much as its there right to lie and y'all's right to call me douchebag. But, being myself and several other people in the electrical engineering field have their curiosity peaked by magic fairies I'm going to continue to ask about it until im proven wrong.

Edit:::: Now that I think about it, yes! I pre-ordered a surface3 tablet about a month before they were released and even after reading several articles on it, I had questions, so I called Microsoft and asked their tech people the questions, about 30-45 minutes of talking with them later, I placed the order.
No one tried hiding anything, everyone was open and forthcoming, and now that I have it, its great, serves my purpose much better than an iPad.
Best part is, no.one called me a troll, said I was negative or heckled me for having questions about a new product before spending my money.

Maybe not TV or μWave, but on other things, yes, I do contact the manufacturer and ask questions if they are not answered on their web site-- especially when they are promising things that sound too good to be true. Don't think for a second that I didn't have open communication with Shun/Kershaw before I bought their knives that include "lifetime warranty, lifetime free sharpening". I think that it's more common than you think.

If Panasonic had been claiming their TV could do something that's currently known to be unlikely if not impossible then yeah, I'd probably have questioned before buying one.

Especially if several TVs had recently been released that claimed to do the same thing, and failed to deliver.

I have no problem with you or anyone asking a question or pointing out possible flaws with what a manufacturer claims without proof ... but to continually ask the same question over and over harping on it like an old woman when the vendor mentioned several times they were not ready to release the info... was tiring to keep reading.

I wasn't buying into what they were spouting... although I did made a wild guess as to how it may work... in the end, I'll wait until they are ready to release the info and I'll also wait for others to verify the claims before I decide if I'm interested or not.

Well, maybe its from growing up in an Italian house, or spending several years in school; but, I have the mindset of: asking questions as many times as need be when I have the opportunity until I understand is good.
Not that I owe anyone an explanation but lets see:: reasons why?- purely to allow for exploitation
1-I am curious. Im educated in electronics and am curious as to the methodology employed. -sue me
2- when the other technological advances were released they were released with an explanation on how it works
3-a generalized statement would suffice refusal to supply makes me more curious; as well as, suspicious that they hiding something
4- I hate liars, my kids don't lie like that unless they want a beating.
5-This thing comes out on the 25th, I sincerely doubt that vendor/manufacturer will be able to be found in this manner afterwards.
6-as stated earlier, coming onto a public forum and trying to coral a group of people with sales pitches is like treating us like sheep with open wallets.
7-I have the right to ask
8- before i spend my money on anything I want to know what, why and how it works.
9- after vaping for over a year I have never heard of this company and when seeing they have been around since 2007 I became again, more curious as to what they had to offer on the tech side.
10- the overall presentation and dialogue of the posts made by the representative peaked my suspicion before my curiosity.
10.5- we sshould hold manufacturers accountable-see previous posts referencing clouper.
11- im reasonably confident that im not the only one with these thoughts and curiosities, and I am equally sure that for each one of of us who have asked; there are, several others reading this; and, while they are laughing their ass off at this very moment they are also hoping to see an answer.

Correct me if I am wrong please but everything I have seen about Temperature Control doesn't sound like Temperature control but more of temperature limiting whereas if the wick dries or something happens the devices refuses to let the temperature rise to where you get a dry burn, or the device heats up to much so which is it. Temperature Control or Temperature and I am not one of those with an electrical engineering background
we rather call our mod as taste control, because our mod able to keep the best taste for the user. and we won't limited the wattage. we only do it for best preformance of the tank.

Just sit back and relax and wait for the mod that can't/can do temp control and can't/can pass a dry cotton test depending on which posts you read in this thread.
Which is easy to do, vaping on my DNA40 mods (which are decent at TC) and my SX Mini (which is just about perfect when it comes to TC) :)

No you did not.
The coca cola thing is hilarious. I can make a soda at home. I have carbonated water and a variety syrups. The exact recipe is not necessary, unless you're making a clone.
A round about method is all anyone has asked for.
"How does the mod limit temp?" at no point has anyone asked for trade secrets, programming codes, or algorithms used. We only asked what method was being utilized. There is a succinct difference in the expected answer.
I was a chef for 23 years and have a cookbook being reviewed by a publisher, I have no problem giving someone a recipe or tips on technique; however, I will always leave out one or two Ingredients that make my dish stand out from the rest.
All that was asked was: is the mod using a temp sensor or is it using the kanthal itself. And if kanthal is it using the resistance or another measurable variable. ---we did not ask what variable.
And no, a secret is not a lie; but, we both know you're not waiting on an international patent 2 weeks prior to release. Furthermore if someone will lie about something so transparently, how much validity can they be given.

At no point was anyone trying to be disrespectful. The more blown up this gets by everyone the less serious and more comical it becomes.
