How often should I rewick my RDA for maximum flavor and clouds? I usually use a mutation x V3 on an istick 50w (upgrading to mech and dark horse soon). I don't know how often I should change out the cotton in my coils. Any help is much appreciated

I use an 80/20 VG/PG anywhere from 20 to 35 watts. With organic cotton and I don't know what a chain vaper is please elaborate.

same as chain smoker...someone that vapes alot....will sit down and have a long vape session as opposed to the people who take a hit every so often.

Not sure it would taste good to get goat turn notes on the exhale. And you know what goat turds taste like why? LOL

I re-wick RDAs when I change flavor, and keep 2-3 coiled and ready so I can swap out...one for fruits, one for bakery/desserts, one for random recipes I may be tweaking. If I've gone a full week on one flavor (or a blend of similar flavors), I'll re-wick and dry burn the coils just to keep things fresh.

I change as little as possible as i hate the new wick taste. The broken in wicks tast so much better, but there does come a time when they just have to be changed.

I use mine till they burn, or I want to build another one. I your too poor to afford to vape you should kill yourself. (or get a job). Whatever comes first. ;)

Try to change with vastly different flavors. Fruit-Custard, change. Custard-Cereal, try it and maybe change. It takes me all of about 1 min to pull, cut, wick, snip, soak, and drip that it does not matter. And the cotton is cheap. But, if I had things going on I would vape that fruit juice until I got a dry hit then would try the custard.

I'll throw in a new wick when I notice the liquid pooling and the cotton's collapsed. That's about the time I notice cow dung undertones and flooding issues,

i hardly consider a dark horse an upgrade from the mutation, i have 2 dark horse 1 auth one clone, the mutation v2 v3 v4.
the v4 is awesome but not a quad coil rda for sure even though i use quads in it!

as for cotton, ask 10 people and you will get 10 different answers.
a few simple ones are; when it collapses, wont hold liquid.

i change my roughly every 1-2 days and sometimes more dependng on what i am doing

if im cloud chasing and just high heat lots of drip, ill change it daily.

i mean, it is cotton, 3 minutes easy peasy. might as well just do it when you are watching a show or drinking coffee!

My E-Grips coils get gunked up vaping my fruity flavors long before the wicks go to shit. So I just rewick to burn the coils clean. About every 2 or 3 days.

for sure, good thing to add. Coils hold their integrity well if taken care of, can last months! unless your like me and re coil too often just to continue testing what i want best! having some many RDAs i build for them all and test to see what works with what.

have you tried burning it in first?

i soak cotton while it is horizontal before i start stuffing it, then i drip it some more. then ill hold the fire down for a few seconds and re drip.

i repeat that a time or two and that weird taste is gone and nowhere to be found!

Yeah I can burn my coils probably 20 times I'd say. When they do break it's usually on me for being alittle to rough with them.

I also found a small eyeliner type makeup brush, a little soft brush works really nice knocking the white chalky shit off the coils, leaving them intact. A few quick swipes will bring the coil even cleaner, looking better yet. Let the coil cool good first. :D

I change cotton about every 30 ml, so every other day or so. Unless I am coil build testing, to see which gives me the best flavor in my freak mini and mad hatter. Then I may change cotton 6 or 7 times in a day.

If the color won't wash out with some warm water being poured over my RBA then I rewick. If a flavor stays (think Peppermint) when I switch flavors I will rewick. Yeah I wash my RBA with warm water and have never had an issue other than the first few hits are just flavorless water vapor. Sometimes it's a few days, sometimes it's every 4 hours.

Usually I rewick at most after 3 days. Whether it's with my fruit or dessert juices. I use organic cotton and a dark horse on a mechanical. I burn my coils to clean then everytime, and recoil after about 2 wicks. ButI I'm a coil pornaholic so.....
