Big Dripper clouds?

I pulled down a Big Dripper that I have. Slapped a build in it running .4 ohms at 50 watts and it's a beast. Does anyone cloud chase with it anymore?

I do. Makes bitchin' clouds. If I can send a cloud 10' away, it's 1000% better than I could smoking. I use 2- 2.5 mm Kanthal wraps @ .28 gauge. Full air.

I get used Motorcycle batterys for the core fee. $6.00. Bought step down transformers & other parts & make "Home Mods". Charge them every other week or so. A button some wire, tape. Beats the Hell out of buying 18560's 2/20.00

Haven't used my Big Dripper in a while, but it was a nice piece to have at work on top of my Nemi mech at around 0.4 - not a cloud chasing rig, but solid and nice to only have to fill a few times a day...

I have the lbaloi mod and looking to get huge clouds. I have a new Sony vct5 battery , parallel build with 24 guage kanthal and a 90/10 juice. I'm not getting huge clouds. What build will give me dense clouds?

What rda do you have?

I'm not really sure what RDA is on the mod. I bought it from a friend of a friend and it was already on it. Its a 3 post RDA but I plan on buying a new one this week.

You may have a diamond in the rough with the rda. Any pictures of it?

I wick it the way rip trippers does. Idk , I did notice my center post on my RDA is really loose. You can pull it up and down. What's a good build for clouds?

A good build starts with a stable positive post. Can you try tightening it up, perhaps by screwing in the center pin from the bottom?

The battery contact is on the bottom. I've looked and it doesn't seem to be able to be tightened.

Hmmm...perhaps the insulators at the base of the post are worn out and need to be replaced? I'd be hesitant to recommend continuing to use an atty with a loose positive.

That sounds like a good plan to me. I'd try a simple dual build on whatever you get to start. I'd also be a bit suspicious of that VTC5 battery, more than 90% of them that have been sold in the last 6 months or so have turned out to be fakes...

I bought the vtc5 from a reputable vape store here where I live and I've tried the sleep coil and the parallel coil and dual macro coils but I'm not getting really sense clouds like I see online and I use a high VG juice.

Same here. You may have to find what works for you?

I'm going to try and get a dark horse or mutation x RDA and see if that helps.

I can get a mutation x from Carolina vapor mill which is where I get my vape stuff for $35. They also have the hades RDA for the same price. A guy around here sells dark horse for $20 though.

Is Carolina Vapor in north or south Carolina? I'm in NC.

As good as the Dark Horse is, it lacks a deep juice well. You'd be better of with a Mutation X V3, a CLT V3, or a Doge X.

@Boshears I'm using my Big Dripper V2 on a daily basis. Dual coil 24g 7/6 wrap 2.5mm ID => 0.32 Ohm on my Kepler Stingray X clone.

Ok cool , I was leaning towards the mutation x but I could get a dark horse at a good price but I know you get what you pay for. I'm just looking for something that'll handle a good build and chuck clouds.

I'd say go with the Mutation or the CLT - I only have the Mutation (and several different versions of it), but it's great for simple builds, a good-sized juice well, and plenty of airflow to blow massive clouds. Just got this hokey-looking thing in from FT yesterday, though, and it absolutely murders anything I've ever seen for airflow and cloud production...the bottom air holes do shrink the juice wells, which is unfortunate, but it's the first RDA I've ever owned and not run wide open.

Ok so I've ran across a Doge X for $20 but looking at it I'm unsure if it'll work on my mod. My contact on the bottom of my rda now is different than the contact post of the doge.

Get an Airek, with a chuff cap you'll never see better airflow and with a nice dual coil build, you'll be throwing clouds all day long

I like it a lot, these days I am vaping on the Kennedy and the Arctic. Sold out of all the big drippers.
