At least all of us here know this is bullshit although 90% of the rest of the world believes it.
I've run into at least a couple dozen people this year alone telling me my vape will kill me and some of those said vaping is worse than cigarettes.

I stopped reading the article after "Yet, nicotine is not harmless. It is highly addictive".
Because,

Source:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publi...acco-products-2018-executive-summary#nicotine

There is no evidence to support the claim that vaping normal doses of freebase nicotine is addictive in humans. None whatsoever.

Like they said, they’ve got no problems with nicotine from patches, gum or lozenges. Just vaping. Because you can actually quit smoking with vaping and stay quit. The other methods, not so much.

I haven’t tried quitting vaping, so I don’t know how addictive or not the nic in juice is.

Any and all of the so-called "scientific" evidence in support of the claim that there exists such a thing as "nicotine addiction" is confounding nicotine with inhaled tobacco smoke, which, as we all know, is fundamentally different from inhaled nicotinic vapor. As we all also know, vaping nicotine can reduce withdrawal symptoms resulting from smoking tobacco abstinence in humans who are addicted to smoking tobacco. Research confirms that administering nicotine intravenously also can reduce these same symptoms. But how does this prove that nicotine is addictive, when the reality is that in any and all human test subjects that have been studied, the one true focus was on smoking tobacco addiction, not "nicotine addiction"?

In the article linked above, a reference is made to this article:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2928221

So then, here we go:
This article focuses on nicotine as a determinant of addiction to tobacco and the pharmacologic effects of nicotine that sustain cigarette smoking.
Case in point: do a search for an article that focuses on nicotine as a determinant of addiction to nicotine, not as a determinant of addiction to tobacco... just one article. Find that.

I agree, since when I quit smoking, the vaped nicotine wasn’t really totally dealing with the withdrawals from cigarettes. It helped, but not completely. But enough that I did quit smoking. So there is a difference between tobacco nicotine and plain liquid nicotine.

Also, there’s added chemicals in cigarettes that are addictive, and I think they make quitting harder. Once you’re “detoxed” from them, it’s easy to not smoke. But a lot of new vapers go through fairly unpleasant withdrawals if their nic isn’t high enough mg to pick up the slack (as it were.) Jmho, based on my personal experience.

Exactly. But there also is a difference between vaping freebase nicotine and vaping nic salts, especially the nic salt formula that is being used by Juul.

It’s ironic that Altria makes Marlboros and Juuls! I have some nic salts that I mixed with to use with a Naut Mini. I wonder if it’s the same as in Juul. I don’t vape them a lot, though.

I can’t see you ever vaping plus ohm low wattage! Or a pod. :giggle:

I have a 10ml bottle of 20mg unflavored nic salt laying around that I never used (Element Liquids Ns20). I visited the manufacturer's official website just now, and the first thing that hit me was this huge banner claiming that their nic salt products do not contain salicylic acid nor benzoic acid.

If they ever decide to take high wattage mech vaping away from me I'll unleash not just the kraken, but the four horsemen of the apocalypse too. All five of them at once. :p

That’s what bugs me about nic salts, the BA (and salicylic acid.) I got two short fills of salts from Liquid Barn when I was buying nic base, so I’ll prolly finish this one up and throw the other one in a stash for worst case scenario.

You prolly have mods or atties called Kraken and Apocalypse, if I know you!! :giggle: You can do what the hip Juul vapers do and hit two mechs at once, just because you cool like dat.

Yeah, I have a Purge Mods "Kraken" Murdered Out mod, two different Armageddon MFG Limited GEAR Edition "Apocalypse" 25mm RDAs, and two different Vaperz Cloud Hammer Of God Limited Edition "The Four Horsemen" mods. I like stylish setups, but I don't do vape tricks or any other funky shit (OK... sometimes I do certain stuff just to make that badass statement, like, one day I walked out on the sidewalk holding a tube mech with three extension tubes on it, holding it upright in front of me as though it was a candle).

So that is pretty bad ass!! I knew you had setups with names like that. You should do the Hand Check more, I never get to see them.

I figured you wouldn’t do the “ clouds, bruh” thing! Lol
