hahaha you have this one in the bag!

Bly me, would hope that I'd not, more's the pity if I do. Shite be bleakin' o' Hell then.

Bit of odd quirky trueness: I can not say I've been to the U.K.. Just the same cannot say I've not. Can say I once helped a bloke from a pub in Newcastle to the tube. He needed home safe. He was only 'arf pissed so could use his phone to ask via chat how to go. Took me a minute, got confused over a round about for a few seconds, but I got him there and on board. He hollered back the next day and asked me to meet him at a coffee / tea shop because he swore he'd seen me walking up ahead of him. I remained in VA, U.S. the whole time.

Besides this, got record of a George with my family surname that left U.K., from South or "Sof" Hampton I believe it says to come to U.S. round about 1700's or so. Funny enough though there's no further record on that George, nothing from his locality there, no mum or pop records, nada, zip. He just popped up, hopped a ship and come to America. I'm telling ya, my whole family is quite strange. And yar, I even had 'em check the old family bible records, no joy.

I would like to suggest a simple one that even the most noob can join in... it can run concurrent to one for the more seasoned people.

We have averaged I believe 20 people playing these, sometimes only a hand full depending on the challenge.

Here is the magic Challenge idea!

Pick a number!

Yup... that's it.

Rules: Every day... you get to pick one number... from 1-20000 at the end of the "Challenge" do a 3 run number generator the one who hits, wins...

If no one hits... to be continued and moves to the next month.

This is like a lottery.

The prize I think needs to be somewhat significant... cause this can go on for months!

Rules recap:

1. Only one number per day
2. No one can have duplicate numbers within said month... if two people have duplicate numbers, the first one is counted, second loses their daily number choice.
3. At the end of the challenge... Random Number Generator... number shown, win? Cool... No hits... all numbers void... start again the next month.
4. Alt accounts = Ban
5. whatever you all feel else is needed ;)

We have to consider prizes in the US may be illegal after deeming. Not much if any of the past prize pools will pass deeming.

I really like everything about this idea except the losing your daily number if you choose a duplicate. I feel like that person should get another guess, if only for guessing the exact number someone else does in the same day. I feel punishment for that seems wrong.

I did like the idea a lot though! Sometimes simple can be really fun! :)

I appreciate that... reasoning I had behind losing your daily number, was there needed to be just more than just spurting a #... and rather have the team comb through all the numbers guessed, it would put that burden on the player, same for the winner... the team would just do the random number generator and say 13259 Won!... check your guesses!

20000 numbers... lets say 300 people chime in daily... that is 9000 numbers... 45% of actual possible. Of course this goes down with lesser numbers being chosen and participants.

Also, if you run the probability of winning... at 30 guesses out of 20000... that % is 0.15% missing one changes it to 0.145% Missing 2 changes it to 0.14% and so on.

It originally was for a prize... but I still think it can be implemented in a way to where that hitting is worth 500 pts for the running tally leader board.

Really not as huge of a deal when you look at it on a probability scale missing a day or losing a turn huh ;)

Great break down of the odds.

Wow, I'm impressed with your math! Makes sense, I just hope people who may guess duplicates don't get their panties in a bunch over it. But then again, if there are no prizes involved, I'd hope they wouldn't! :)

There was once a sig (signature) line which passed around in emails. It read, "If they outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns. Guess that's me."

Figure there is much of the same sentiment regarding vaping being made illegal. There's roughly 9 to 10 million of us in the United States that vape. Yes I believe there were more in India where the government banned it. There will be fines, then jailing. There's no money for a lot of us to pay fines. Government going to show us how to get blood from stones? They also going to jail all of us, even only here in the U.S.?

I strongly feel there will be a gray market with people that remain accountable, have integrity. They will keep vaping going and as safe as possible. Decided about two to three years ago I am not going to use tobacco any more. Yes, I admit I have stumbled a very few times. Finished stumbling though. I'm finished with tobacco as well. "When they outlaw personal vaporizers, only outlaws will have personal vaporizers. Guess that's me."

Will not feel the least bit immoral, unethical breaking an unjust and unlawful law. Not when it can save lives. Been there, done it enough. Why stop now?

I don't think vaping itself will be banned, just open systems banned from sales.

Well, I am not going to complain either way any more. Our former POTUS had a speech recently at University of Illinois. It spoke volumes.

It possibly changed some cynical minds.
