A better one than the Engine nano rta

I´ve just started to use my Nano after having it for two years on the shelf. I´m very satisfied with it. I need to find a another single coil rta that´s on par with the Nano or even better in every way. I dont have the money for these high end rtas, but a good enough clone will do for me. Any suggestions? I am a DL vapor possibly a slightly restricted one..

Kylin Mini if you can nail the wicking. Doom or Unity for mesh.

Others with high marks:
Kelpie - second batch if you're worried about the screws
Juggerknot Mini - there's a clone

How can you tell, if you're not sure about a batch? Or would it say v2, or something?
As far as I know you can’t tell unless you contact the vendor.
I would try vendor also, or message Vaping with Vic or EHPro.
The thing with the screws is the cut on top where the driver fits is shallow, so if you let the driver slip you run the risk of deforming where the driver fits, not the threads. It comes with at least 6, only need 2.

I just got a pair from FT.. So far, not really impressed except as a spare to my Nano's...

You can't really FILL the bubbglass - it just refuses to ditch that last big air bubble.. Now, amusingly, I nuked my VG a little yesterday and DID get a full fill, but before bed I was absolutely unable to repeat that refill - ended up with bubbglass maybe 3/4 filled and ejuice all over me.

You can fill the straight glass easier, but the capacity is LOW..

Mostly, with a good coil flavor is better. Same side fill port. I'm finding I prefer a 2.5mm coil and clip the legs to 4mm on the coily tool on the jk mini. Nano build/wick is easier but the jk is still pretty easy. Filling the jk can have a learning curve, think it's got something to do with how the glass is fit. Right now my current rotation is 3 jk's, no nanos atm. Still use the nanos though.

I'd picked up this one: https://m.fasttech.com/p/9690901

And, while it works, no: it's not better than my Nano's - and both of those are used. I will prefer to take this out and drop them, however - until OBS decides to get a Nano 2.0 out.
I don't think there will be another nano, pretty sure that's what the mtl engine was intended for.

I'd heard from @Vaping With Vic - some review or another - where he said there was one in the works, but of course none of us know when that will happen.. I looked at the 'mini', but pass - single coil only, bitte.

Note: waiting for this 1-of-2 Jug-mini to fail.. I washed it out about an hour ago, planted a new coil, got to getting the even-heat/dryburn action - and the DNA was showing .01ohm and pitching vape (smoke?) out the side of the base.. It has been switching between .01 and .37ohm tonight, so.. I dunno. I might have trashed one already. Tastes OK, so I am fairly sure it's not a melted insulator.. Next time I check wick & coil I may tear it down to the deck.

Crius 2 was released several months after Nano, so there may not be a Nano V2 and I think it would have happened already. I think if they decide at some point to use Nano as a name it would be a redesigned deck.

The Bottom Air Flow, single coil deck I use are :OBS Crius 2
I feel this one [not to be confused with Crius 2 dual coil] is often overlooked. Maybe becasue of it's 510 tip, or no bubble glass even tho it's so easy to fill. If it's the tip, a wide bore 510 would be an option, as well as Kylin Mini 5ml bubble glass fits.
More deck space than Nano for larger or complex coils if wanted. Larger wick ports and wicking is a breeze. Does not leak a drop. Fantastic flavor. When I sold some gear, I sold the Nano, kept the Crius and don't regret it

Never had that happen. Maybe a stray snip of metal? Did you clip the legs over the deck?
No, over the trash - as usual (otherwise it's very common to holler and jump and then spend some time finding out where the wire has penetrated a bare foot).

I presumed it was ejuice, but yeah - I looked at the cloud and went "umm, no heat in the coil? wtf..?"

I probably should bye a new Nano and a Crius2..

Make sure you get the single coil deck version of the OBS Crius 2! This RTA may be hard to find along with trying to find the OBS Nano since they have been discontinued.
The OBS Crius 2 is a bottom air flow tank, so good wicking is a must! Great flavor with that tank!
For top air flow I love the WotofoSMM Serpent Elevate- very easy to build and wick this RTA.Plus one of those coily tools was included- great to pre cut you legs with! No tabs to line up like the Nano either. Very nice well made tank that comes with bubble glass as well!

Yes a very nice tank that got little love- I think it was that special screw -don't lose that screw driver- plus the clamp . Yes this is a really nice RTA for sure!
Another that got little love, but I love mine and use daily is the OBS Engine V2 - dual coil top air flow RTA- I think because the deck is odd- but for me easy to use as the coil legs can be held from the top for cutting! This RTA has awesome flavor as well!

Yes. The screw its self is a good beefy screw and its cut deep for the driver so it doesn't slip or anything. I think it was one of the first with a ceramic clamp, and that's proven its self with the many that have it now.

Much more reasonable price, and both ship from China. Good spot. I'm not looking, BTW.

I looked at EBay 1st and saw the one you posted and went to my trusty Aliexpress site and found that sale there.
Looks like only gold left at Aliexpress as well- I am not looking either, lol!
I own 2 Nanos a Rainbow and thanks to my friend @Letitia9 for sending me her Blue one a while ago!
That gold is pretty though- I do not need it, I do not need it- lol! Watch me cave in at that price!
