It is worth it, because I have tried two other RDA's and havent been able to get the same flavor.

But every time I sit it down in any way, it gets stuff everywhere!!

Does anyone know a solution for this by any chance? Thanks.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Sounds like you may have too much wicking and there is nowhere for the good stuff to go, but out. Show us how you have it set up and that should offer some insight into what the score is. Are you squonking or dripping?

The original or the dual? Are you sqouonking? Using high VG juice? Running a massive coil? Taking a strong enough pull to clear the air holes?

I pretty much flood mine every time I squonk it and haven't any leaking except the one time I used a coil that almost touched the intake holes. I think it pushed the juice into them.

If you’re dripping it’ll leak... it just will.

If you’re squonking check coil placement and wicking. Use high big juice and it shouldn’t leak.
If you want that flavor from a dropper without leaking look into the reload S.

Sorry, I'm late.
Do you still have the issue?

Hey what's going on! Yeah it has been pretty consistent. I usually sit my vape in my lap when driving or using the computer and it will be on it's side. After a few minutes when I grab it I will notice a big spot on my pants. Happens when I sit it on the bed too. I have gotten better about trying to pick it up but it also leaks in my pocket. My gf's son asked me if I peed my pants the other day.

I guess I would consider it more of a first world problem obviously because I am still getting flavor that I haven't had with tanks ( tanks leak too ) but I feel like there may be a solution to this other than making sure there isnt juice in the well.

Not to sound like a smart ass, but if you're laying it on it's side almost any RDA will leak. It's just their nature. My apologies If I'm misunderstanding.

I've never had any issues with leaking with the Recurve unless I oversquonked which I've yet to find an RDA that is completely immune to over squonking/dripping.

I agree with this true fact. Explains why I set my mods upright when not using them. Lay a mod on its side, there will be leaking.

Not got any Wofto rda here so would not speak to them but I do figure the rest of this holds truth. Hard to get a squonk rda to not leak if you are intentionally over squonking it. I've seen one that might not leak but there again, its not here so I won't say yay or nay. Knowing me, I could over squonking to a point it leaks I'd figure.

I understand that. I bought a different rda the other day and the air holes closed completely. This is my first RDA, the Recurve. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong. Or was hoping that at least there was a replacement cap or part that would help lower the levels of leaking.

Either way, worth it. :)

What did you pick up?

I've had two Recurves. Nice RDAs and for as small as the juice well is it takes a lot of squonking for them to leak. Didn't like using it as a dripper because knowing it has a small juice well one tends to over drip.

This is the reason I finally went to and RTA. Flavor comparable to a dripper but not having to drip. Mainly use the RTAs while out and about and drippers at him.

BTW welcome to VU.

Thank you! I forgot the name of it and I don't have it with me. The coil was at the bottom near the air flows. It was very easy to over squonk and I think the fact that the air holes closed were the only thing that it had going for it. When I get home tonight I will post a picture and share it with you guys. It was an odd build too because instead of the coil being clipped and secured downward, it was to the sides, so I had to rebend coils to fit and it was just a pain. Went back to the recurve immediately but wished that I could have the closing air holes on the recurve.

Oh, it had a glass window on it, if that helps.

Sounds like maybe a tsunami. Post pics maybe we can help you with coil placement.

Somewhat related, after about three or four months now, finding it hard to over squonk the Gorge RDA. Its air holes are about two thirds of the way up the chamber from the deck.

That's not saying I still don't get too much juice going on at times, I do. It's just gotten more difficult to do it. So far not done it with a Dead Rabbit SQ, but it doesn't cheat fair as far as an RDA goes. It puts air holes nearly at the top of the chamber.

The one I wind up over squonking more so is the U.S. 1 a.k.a Trinity RDA. It has huge slots down to the bottom of the deck and the juice well isn't but possibly half a mm to 1 mm deep. Got no micrometer, don't measure but rough guess for me seem usually close enough. I've built pole barns and other structures "eyeballing" and they've been good.

Between the three seems that the Gorge winds up getting used most. It is now wearing a new funky resin glow in the dark drip tip. *chuckles* Next I know, I'll find a Sea Monkey RDA. Oh the shinyitus!

I have three Recurve singles on squonks, including two that get daily use, so I'm pretty familiar with them. The only time I've ever had mine leak is when I squonked but didn't vape (like when my smoke break is interrupted at work and the mod has to go back into my pocket).

So don't squonk unless you know you're going to vape most of the liquid out of the cotton. It's really that simple.

And that rule applies to all RDAs, dripping or squonking.

Sorry, fam
This one not compatible with Recurve Single version

How about his question about the screws? It would be great if you could give him the specifications for the screw (thread pitch, length, etc). I'd like to have that info too.

That is one of my biggest issues with nearly all major vape companies, they don't give specs on the set screws which are part of their products. These screws see a lot of repeated use and a fair amount of torque (for the size of the screw), so the heads are bound to be stripped eventually. And decoding the size, especially considering most of them are probably metric, can be very difficult on the consumers (and nearly impossible for some without knowledge about screw specs).

I'd lower the coil a bit so its not flush with the top on the deck. Try putting in a little less cotton or don't put the vape in your pocket.

Hello Sir
Sorry for that
My mistake, I didn't notice that

Here it is the size of screws for Recurve RDA (single version)
M2.5*5.4L

Or you could email our [email protected] for this, If you can't find this in your local hardware store

I own, use, and love 4 recurves. I have never had a problem with leaking, but mine stay upright, all the time. As is true for all of my gear. I have found personally, laying on its side or upside down you are just asking for problems. Yeah, kinda sucks, but I have learned to except it as jusk kinda nature of the beast.

I also have the 22mm conversion cap for the recurve, and wanted to say the af is exactly the same as regular cap, so you are not able to shut the af all the way off with it either.

That’s cool. This is my first rda. I take my vape everywhere with me. It’s in my pockets all of the time and yes sometimes it tips over. I’ve found it to be impossible not to. I’ve started trying to keep it upright more often but it’s going to be a long habit to try to remold.

And thanks for letting me know about the cap.

I tend to make a long thin ribbon of rayon to line the base of some squonk attys to lower the risk of anything slightly leaking out. I have a recurve, but it hasn't leaked unless I over squonk it,, the design is a bit different so I use longer tails instead of ribbon method.

Wow this sounds intriguing, can you please provide a picture when you are able?
