Hmm. Your pic looks like the slam cap comes all the way down to the bottom of the deck, with holes for the air slots. The regular Kennedy slam cap looks like it's thicker than the metal cap (more like 26 or 27mm for the cap) and leaves a little "bump" when it starts above the air slots. Not really sure what I'm seeing, but I need that cap on my brass 25mm.

Thanks,
marter

Finally got the copper Goon 25 built to try out on the new Vindicator 21. WOW! Wadda screamer. The build came out a little lower than I wanted though. .08. Thinking about rebuilding it, but man does it hit good.

Even though I loved the vape I was getting from this build, I went up to .2
.08 is 50 amps at 4 volts. That little voice was telling me I was asking for trouble even with a 30T

With 30ts I regulalry use a 1.1 - 1.2 ohm coil. I just do not chain vape it. And I keep it spotless (the switch of course). I found the magnets in my new Dragon mod were cracked, BTW. But I used an extra spring (silver) from my 11:11 (had a spare) and voila - problem was solved.

I vape 1.1Ω 1.2Ω also on my mini mechs ;)

Sorry nothing to add but some typo ribbing lol

I was shooting for .15 but I accidentally added a wrap and it came out .2 - .21. I wasn't up to redoing it at the moment so I left it. Next time I'll bring it down some more. Vapes good, but I prefer it a bit lower and warmer. In any case .08 is too low. For me anyway.

Glad you got it sorted with your Dragon. I like the feel of magnets a bit more myself, but I shattered the pair that came installed in my Bonza 5 minutes after I got it. Thankfully they included a 2nd pair.

Even cracked, won't they still work though? If not cracked too badly?

Mechs are coming to me left right and center. Picked this up for a bottle juice. Guy just wanted to get rid of it. Says the button sticks. So before I use it I will clean it and see what is going on. Nice looking mech!

Broadside is a classic. I wish they had this in 21700 version. Didnt really like the Brizo.

Button is stiff. May need a little 3 in 1 oil on it. It may have been dropped on the button side of the mech. Still looking into it.

Anyhoo. The whole mech family.

Simply replacing the o-ring inside the button usually helps. Or if it turns out that it still doesn't, then you could decide to order the button's interior parts, directly from the manufacturer here:

Thanks. I do have some o rings for it. I will give that a try. Button is a little beat up. So some parts maybe needed. Thanks for the links.

Well. A follow up to the new addition to the mech family. I got a not well taken care of mod, took it all apart. And cleaned everything. Contacts , tube, clutch system, button everything. My new broadside performs like a champion, ran great. Man it has a nice solid hit. I will get some new parts for it. But it runs really solid.

You guys will love this. I just found the titanium version of this mod, used, but in great shape, authentic with the packaging and authenticity card for 40 bucks :bliss:

That is a COOL mod.
For $40 I'd go for it. That's an amazing price and it's not like these are that easy to find these days

I made the mistake of doing a quick search on Ebay and there it was. The Titanium edition was like 300 bucks when it was new 5 years ago. Of course it's not worth that now, but still a great deal.

I accept the blame and have no regrets.

Hope you enjoy!
I have to be honest, I never would have bought this mod if I knew it had a non-serviceable switch and a (to me) worthless spring. Instant blistering hot button. It looks super awesome, but I'll never be able to use it. When SOI were having their giveaway sale that's what ultimately dissuaded me. I would never own a tube with a non-serviceable switch. (not on purpose anyway)

I'd have to build way higher than I want to not melt the spring.

There's a youtube vid on how to put it back together, but NOT how to take it apart.

Anyway. Ya live and learn. It was still a great deal, it's just not going to be of any use to me. :(

Of course I'm not blaming you btw.
