fit n finish on this charger are better than i thot china could do.
if the insides are as good, it will last forever.

this thing is not easy to program, but i'm learning.
my batteries tell me i'm a nice person.
i'm charging at .7.
it's faster than my nitecore but the batteries stay room temp.
they heat up in the nitecore, aging.
i have probably doubled battery life by only charging to 4.05.
i have exactly the same run time.
before, i charged batteries when they were down to 50%.
i was in error about how important that was.
by low charging i only lose 10%.
so, i'm using them down to 40%.
so, everything is the same, but batteries will last.
if they ban sale of batteries not in a pack, this will be a big deal.

i haven't tried the test functions yet, because i'm slogging thru the manual.
they have online tutorials you can access by scanning these designs in the manual, but i don't know how to do that.

in all, i think the mc3000 is worth the money.

thanks, gs.
i'll try to use that, but it says i don't have a device.

crom, you are wrong. check mooch's you tube, episode 6.

he says you double or triple battery life by not fully charging.
in a recent conversation with me, he backed off the triple but still told me i'd greatly extend the life by undercharging.

by the way. i really lucked out.
i was looking at the dragon charger because testing batteries on it looks like fun.
mooch just tested it n he says the insides are very sloppy, poor soldering n such.
i'll have to wait til he tests mine.
i haven't opened mine because i wouldn't know what i was looking at.

Do you have an android or Iphone?

Ohh by not fully charging yes but recharging when 50% or 10% charge left is no real difference.

if you recharge at 50% it is half a charge cycle and recharge at 10% and it is 90% of a charge cycle all adds up the same.

I guess you really don't need a smartphone to get by.

I know people who don't use them.
A few of my older family members have flip phones only.
One of them even uses a laptop daily.

Mostly people who have flip phones here use them because they don't go on the Internet very often or ever at all.

I have an andriod phone because it's mega convenient when i'm out but to be honest 99% of my forum posts come from my laptop.
.

I downloaded the mc3000 user manual and scanned the QR codes for you.

The 1st scanned QR code takes you here:

https://www.skyrc.com/manualvideo/?key=mc3000_1

That link leads you to this very short youtube video:

These are on that same persons youtube account and are the other two QR Code links in the user manual:

Most maybe but an alien like me who only uses a flip phone with a career of high tech including Unix Sysadmin, programming and decades of telecom tech... Most of my career was arund the tech end of telecom and telecom data centers.
However I never liked talking on the phone just to talk on the phone and I detest most social media for the content that most like it for. Drama and such.
I do enjoy educational and travel videos on the web and it is where I get most all my news and the like.
I also look up recipes and vids on whatever I am interested in or working on at the time.

I Use a few computers daily. A desktop or 3, a Kindle Fire, mostly to read on but I do web also.
And I have a laptop that I take while travelling.

i've seen city people so attached to a phone it seemed a sickness.
i have laptops but wouldn't feel crippled without them.
i worry that reliance on a phone you carry is a very bad thing, but i can't prove it.

by the way, my chargers seem to be evading the laws of the universe.
my 20$ i4 makes my batteries very warm when charging.
that means they are charging too fast, right?
but my 3000, charging at .7 gets them done to full charge twice as fast, while the batteries don't heat up at all.
it can't charge faster unless the amps are higher, right?
logic fails me.

Perhaps the charge curve is different in the 2 chargers?

Or maybe the I4 is heating the cells some from its generated heat rising up past the cells?

I suspect a different charge curve.

It might be the charger getting warm and then warming the batteries. "Warm" won't hurt anything. "Hot" is bad.

mine are not hot but very warm.
that's why i got the new charger.
charge curve means high amps at first, causing heat?
my 3000 will show me that graph, but the other won't..
the cheapie takes 4 1/2 hours to charge 4 batteries that stay very warm for 4 1/2 hours.
i've probably ruined these batteries already.
i'll be able to check capacity soon as i write the program, but i have no idea what a good reading would be.

Been charging batteries on a ~$7 Trustfire TR2 for around 4 years with no issues.
And they always got warm.
Still using some of the same batteries in flashlights now.
I replaced all my batteries after around 3 years because of some diminshed capacity. But not bad maybe 2500 mah for a 3000 mah cell?

funny thing is at the time that I got the Trustfire chargers on clearance most all online were telling me they were junk and I would blow myself up or something.

Gave one to my 19 yr old grandson about a year ago.
He has destroyed several mods but the Trustfire is still going.

i guess your charger is fine.
but all i've learned says heat is the enemy of batteries.
my new hobby is trying to get batteries to last forever, but knowledge is lacking.

This is quite true because no battery lasts forever :D Not in storage and not in use and no matter HOW you maintain them. Not present lithium ion technology and especially how we use them for vaping. Not trying to be a killjoy, but that is the reality of the situation.

LI batteries will NOT last forever.
You can make them last longer with gentler discharges, gentler charges, and only charging to around 4 volts.
But they do have aging with each charge discharge cycle.
3-4 years is outstanding life for vaping batteries. But they may only have 1500 mah at 4 years instead of 3000 mah.
Those that work them harder maybe 2 years.
If you basically abuse them by consistently drawing at or above their rated CDR maybe 1 year is a good lifespan.
Average life for a GOOD 18650 used in vaping is around 2-3 years.
Capacity will diminish slowly over useage.

my real hobby is getting batteries to last 3 times as long as they do for you.
this has nothiing to do with economics.
they are cheap but this is my idea of fun.
to do this, i gotta learn tons.
the 3000 can give me all sorts of info, but i need to understand the data.
do i need new batteries to calibrate this thing?

by the wa. is there a cheap flash light that can use old batteries.
the ones i've seen are pricey.

how do you get it? i spend lots at liion but never saw it.
They were giving them away with orders a while back. Pretty decent little flashlight. Zoomable and can use 3 AAAs or a single 18650. I don't know if they still have any. You could ask @Jon@LiionWholesale if they have any more laying around.

well, with help from @5150sick. , i got this thing really working.
i just tell it program 1 n all 4 batteries get charged at '.7 up to 4.05.
this is what i wanted.
i can test IR or capacity any time, but i gotta learn to interpret results.
do i need to buy new batteries so i can judge my old ones?

i enjoy good tools. this is a professional charger, not a hobby charger.
heavy n sturdy n big, it will do everything but walk the dog.
worth the money.
