This is our new "smoking" area at work. 2019 nicotine will be banned.

I love garbage and can't wait until it rains or snows. Stay in the red box or else!

Oh and there's also a fire hydrant behind that skid. That can't be legal.

That's what I said, but if you're written up, you're written up. Right or wrong. Makes me fighting mad for @Mykreign
Pisses me off, but I have to wait and see what happens.

See they tried to ban nicotine about 10 years ago (before I worked here) and everyone complained that the salary people would just drive off somewhere to smoke. There's something in the works to stop that from happening again. I am salary btw.

Rumor is that they're going to make salary people punch in and out to log their time. I'm fine with that because right now I work 9 hour days. If they make me punch in and out, I'll punch out for vape breaks and just leave after I have my 8 hours in. So i'd be at work for 8.5 hours instead of 9. Win for me.

Somehow they never get a Discrimination Suit.. Fascinating.

Well, I stripped a few cells - two pair - and touched them up with 500grit before relabeling & rewrapping.. My fingers are still sorta' tingly after all those passes thru the gasflame ;-)

When I work at Dr offices I have to go to the edge of the property. Look real good to have a crowd standing by the road.

That sounds like the "smoking area" at my high school when I started smoking -- the school couldn't really do anything about people standing ACROSS THE STREET on what was more or less "public" property -- the county had already exercised Eminent Domain and put a sidewalk there, and the homeowner on that corner had put up a fence at the edge between his yard and the "public" area -- at least we had some concrete to stand on when it rained, if no shelter -- umbrellas were required! Guess where schoolbooks ended up, when we had to hold an umbrella while lighting a smoke? You guessed it -- in the mud! :giggle:

I always wear the little cotton gloves that go along with coin and stamp collecting, when I rewrap a battery -- my husband collects coins and has a buttload of those little gloves. Check somplace like Hobby Lobby or Michael's, to find 'em.

heh.. I have hotpads and tongs all over - it's what I do ;-) I wanted to insure the battery got no hotter than I did.. Just not pleasant, either way - no "Happy Ending" therein, other than a fresh new condom ;-)

I was amused to note that all the stains I saw predated me and my use - apparently other folks ignore washing hands & gloves BEFORE the factory wrap.

What do you use, to seal the wrap? I just use a blowdryer, the medium setting, so it never gets THAT hot, just a bit warmer than I care to experience with my fingertips! I've used the oven mitts, but I had a thought similar to yours, about knowing how warm it really was, so I switched to the cotton gloves -- if I go nuts and hold the heat on any given spot too long, I can feel it, but not painfully.

They prob don't want the co to look negative in any way, because you know how the general public views vaping:rolleyes: , and wouldn't want to blow yourself up on co property.
Might be worth looking at a map of the property - to show what public property might be around there. Maybe the fire hydrant is on public, or there's an easement.

They're pulling the "we care about your health" crap. Aka lower insurance rates I'm sure.

It's funny how companies in diff places can differ. My husband works at a box factory, many many cardboard boxes and the raw cardboard stock to make them, and a lot of other stuff like plastic bottles, bubble wrap, tape, etc -- so smoking's completely verboten on the entire property-- yet employees are welcome to vape IN THE PLANT ITSELF or in the offices -- that's how I got introduced to it, a fellow employee of my husband's switched to vaping, and did it very easily, so my husband mentioned it to him that I'd love to quit if I could find a way to do it and eliminate or reduce the suffering more than the useless patches, so the guy gave my husband a cigalike for me to try -- and off I went.

Nobody in the mgmt at my husband's work has any particular knowledge or experience of vaping themselves, but they're intelligent enough to know the difference between vapor and smoke.

The last time, I waved a butane torch - my damned hot-air half of my rework station is no longer playing.

This time, I just lit the stove, turned it almost off, and waved the cell & wrap around thru the hot air about 1' above the burner.

I think it's probably a reflection of the fact that smoking is still quite visible here in the south; most of the same no-smoke rules apply in most places (here in GA, anyplace where you have to be 18 just to walk in the door, you can smoke or vape), so people are much more aware of what a tremendous boon vaping really is, when their friends and relatives who've wanted to quit for years can finally do so -- I see vapers out pretty much everywhere I go, and 99% of us have the same tale to tell: never being able to quit, till vaping came along. With that much success staring people in the face, plus the fact that those of us who've been vaping for some years now are not dying of it; mostly our health is better than ever.

All that long-term research people keep hollering about? We're creating it. :)

Well damn, no wonder your fingers hurt. :D Doncha have a blowdryer you could use? Or at least, access to one? I'm aware that many men don't own them, but most females generally do.

I vaped. Took a contrary fit early today and did a dual coil build. Got past that and dropped back to a single coil .40 build with some twisted 28 awg NiCh A. It is doing just as well if not better than the dual coil build.

Learned a different Scottish Roll way to wick, vaped, put fresh wick in an atty, swapped top caps from the ultem top cap back to the steel chuff cap for the Trinity atty. I think later on tonight the Trinity and Gorge are going to fight. I'd sell tickets but I figure I'm not long for the rack.
