Hi all im looking for a buttery base for my LMP i used some of Hics LMP recipe to build off
for the start of the LMP but im trying too get a nice flaky pastry almost like a strudel, on the
exhale i will be looking for some nice buttery notes, i have zeppala and testing some other
flavour concentrates if any one has any ideas for a nice buttery flakey light pastry concentrate
please add it below and i will test it out, i know its not as greasy as a doughnut,,

I'm still considering testing the fried pastry and other concentrates its hard because to me its
in between a doughnut and pastry :( and there are so many options...Im looking at ellas short
bread which i have also made up to test but is heavy.

Thanks in advance

there are some new WF out like the Mille Feuilles that I am hoping do this very well. i just got them yesterday and will start testing today. I'll let you know. As of right now, I would use INW Shortbread at like .75% with some FA Apple Pie 1% and maybe toss in some FA cookie .5%

In this award winning recipe. I mixed but it needs a 5 day steep so I’m waiting. They used FA Cookie 1.3% with Cap Golden Butter .25% to create a buttery crust.

“Considering the flavour house limitation in this round - we decided to use FA Cookie + CAP Golden butter to create a soft buttery pastry, that would allow a delicate creamy custard filling to shine without bullying it.”

I want to try this but I don't have the dairy milk or the FLV Cream. I need to get that one for sure.

Has anyone here mixed with Fa Milk? I'm getting ready to place an order with Chefs, and I was curious about this flavor.

On a different note, There are a bunch of flavors in Chefs Fa section that I have never heard of. I can't even find them on Flavourarts own site. After Dark, Apple Stark, Bongo, Black Currant Licorice, Black Currant menthol, Bountiful, Brekkers etc... And that's just the A's and B's. What are these and why are they not available in the U.S. I can't imagine they all have diacetyl in them.
I’ve never tried the Milk or the others.

Im trying every combination i can think of and testing the percentages, i don't think the answer is going t be in the traditional
cookie & apple pie although i think one may play as an accent, got a new batch of flavors on the way to try..I will get it
and will share once its perfected..Just taking time single flavour testing and working out the correct percentage.

Ive tried wf shortbread and inw shortbread and still playing with the percentages but even
at 0.5 % its too strong will keep at it im swapping out the FA lemon for FE lemon to give
me more steep time, i have some good ideas just waiting on the flavourings :)

Wf shortbread has a nice grain texture to it a little dry but i want too keep single flavour
testing it along with inw shortbread both at 0.5% completely kills the FA lemon..

It

it only has cookie as the tart base so I’m not that surprised - I’ve never had the real thing so maybe this is how they are
They said since they were limited to a number of flavors for the contest they chose FA Cookie & Cap Golden Butter for the tart.

True I’ve never had a South African Milk Tart. I’ve had Asian Egg Tart aka Portuguese Egg Tart.

Ah that’s right - makes total sense. Have you tried holiday pie from ATF - it’s really good

I like WF Shortbread. It took a little while to show up though. I couldn't really taste it at first. But I tried it a while down the road and was impressed.

The first thing I noticed about Inawera Shortbread was spice notes (that I didn't think should be there). I don't know why but I really notice spice notes now. So I'm not sure if everyone else will taste it.

im going to single flavour test both again wf shortbread vs inw shortbread, there both good flavourings and i enjoyed both,
but they take over the recipe so easy at very low percentages, but i made a big discovery my little secret for now while playing
around for the perfect puff pastry, but will release as soon as i have it more balanced..

I even tried the VTA LMT and wasn't impressed single flavour test at 10% was like coconut milk ??WTF no lemon or anything
not sure if there was a mix up but still single flavour testing at the moment im working hard but the more i try dinner ladys lemon
tart and create my own from HICS LMP base the more im starting too notice the sugar that is in dinner ladies LMP, and after
vaping so much dinner ladys lemon tart i don't get the lemon any more or the butter or the pastry and get a mouth full of
sugar..

And i have noticed my coils are taking a pounding after 10ml of it its ready for replacing.Best thing i done was move away
from comercial ejuice and start DIY another order going in at the week end..But looking forward to sharing all my single
flavour tests and recipes as soon as they are perfected.

Has anybody tried mixing with FA Croissant? I have some but haven't used it yet. It does have diacetyl to provide a butter flavor and being croissant should be 'flaky'. Smells like it would be a good base for a cereal or danish recipe.

Could try mixing it with cheesecake, vanilla, and a cream for a cheese danish. Or maybe mix it with cherry or strawberry and something to further sweeten it to have a glazed fruit pastry.

I don’t think we have Fa Croissant in the USA . I’ll look at Chefsflavours.

I heard that FA pulled all their “baddies” off the USA market. Probably due to FDA.

Well, not exactly. FA North America ( FANA in Canada ) got pissed that some US flavor houses bought flavors directly from FA Italy that they couldn't buy from FANA so they threatened not to sell them ANY FA flavors at all in the future if they tried that again. They have no reason to be concerned about the FDA as they are merely flavor manufacturers; they don't sell ejuice. IMHO, this is just a power trip for FANA and as a result, I won't be supporting or advocating for them any further.

so...
"We wont sell you any flavors at all if you go somewhere else to get the flavors we don't sell"
That doesn't make any sense at all. Do they really expect people to just not buy what they want?
Sell the damn flavors and people wont HAVE to go elsewhere to get them.

Yep, it's not a problem for folks in Europe ... they are allowed to make their own choices as to what flavoring they want to use.

vta croissant im testing at the moment that was on the of the flavours i did include into the recipe
just working out the percentages, i've also ordered wf croissant, i've heard there are are some
off notes with regards to wf croissant but VTA croissant is working well too give a nice butter
and using supporting ingredients its getting there slowly.

But vta croissant is being paired at the moment with lots of flavours to find a trinity for flaky
pastry :) will update as im about to order more concentrates.

Im not 100% sure but i read somewhere that FA croissant is not supposed to be vaped ?But
VTA croissant is giving a nice buttery and baked pastry note at the moment. but im still testing
it with lots of combinations at lots of different percentages..

Even VTA Croissant and WF angle cake
