Entheon is way too hot to vape

So I just got the Entheon/ Hadeon deal from psyclone. I was really excited to try out the Entheon because of all the great things I’ve heard about it. However, after putting a couple different builds in it I realized that I can’t even take one hit with the Entheon cap without almost burning my lips off. But if put on the Hadeon cap it works just fine. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and possibly a solution so that I can use the Entheon cap?
Thanks!

I used 2 core fused Claptons when I had mine. Was warm but not hot in my opinion. Not sure what wires you have but with the entheon I'd try around .3 and see how you like it

I’m using tri core Clapton wire 2mm ID 3 and 2/4 wraps at .18 ohms. It works perfectly with the hadeon cap on. As long as the beauty ring is off at least.
When using the Entheon cap and beauty ring together it is unusable. If i take of the ring it gets marginally better. Still not usable though. I’ve tried all the Delrin tips it comes with to help as a heat sink but it does nothing.
I’ll try the .3 build and see.
I’m also wondering if coil placement has any bearing on it... idk it’s annoying

Sometimes takes a couple tries. If I remember correctly angled dula airflow and I could see the bottom half of the coil. Seems a little high but more air under and around might cool it a little as well

That’s exactly how I have it set up actually.

What metal is your wire? What's your wattage?

Will second a .3 build. Find that for me, .25 or lower becomes too hot to vape bearably. That also saps up current/voltage from a charged battery real quick too. .3 seems to be a solution to both.

*sits looking off a bit befuddled, looks off to something else, ...* Bet I went out back again. I'll go see. :)

I’m gonna have to get new wire. The .3 builds I made last night had a really long ramp up time. A dude from Reddit is sending me some of his wire he uses for single coil mechs

I like Kanthal meself, it seems to do well enough. It is more resilient than NiChrome 80. Stainless is nice but takes a bit (at least for me --- qualifier). Need to get more SS here but I'm kind of in this haze in vaping. I can wind up all kinds of wire, coils but shoot I've coils what could last likely 6 months if I let them. Got about that or a year of cotton, maybe more and about another three months of juice. I'm just in this rut where I've the gear I like and not seeing any real shiny improvements. Of course, improvement can only go up to a point then you can't really improve, just be stylish, "trendy". Not one for any of that so ...*twiddles vaping thumbs*

I’m not really sure what the metal type will be haha. The guy sent me a sampler pack of his wire and coils for cost of shipping. So I guess I get what I get. But everyone I’ve seen who uses that wire loves it so I’m hopeful. What kind of stuff do you usually like?

Never mind. I misunderstood something in a big way...

98w is way too high for the entheon imo. It's more of a low wattage rda.

I had the same problem as you and I was running maybe half your wattage.

Ni80. Around 98

Why such high wattage? I would NEVER be able to vape a single-coil atty at 98 watts.

You could lower that .18 to between 45 and 52 watts and get a great vape from it with great flavor, that is if the coil is not huge. I doubt very seriously that a Hadaly/Entheon is designed to run big, heavy coils.

I'm actually impressed you got a single coil in there that could handle that wattage without burning the cotton lol

its nicer with the bigguns in but even so it’s very condensed inside, so gets warm even at the 50’s

98w is too much doesn’t have the airflow for it imo

stock caps funnels vapour different to the hadeon, I notice it’s hotter on the draw even in the lower wattages

I’m confused it as at .18

What can I say I’m a genius lol. Not really. I just threw in one half of my usual dual coil build and it works well with the hadeon. Just not the Entheon. But I received some coils from Badazd today so I’ll throw those in and tell you how it goes

Good luck! I sold mine. Didn't wanna vape that low in an rda.

Is it shredvolta? If so he makes some awesome coils.

To me that's too much for the wasp nano as well. And it has monster airflow. But we all know it's trial and error. Singles to me are great but depends on the airflow to cool it down.

The new coils actually made it hotter.

So far the only build that works in this rda is a .18 2mm ID 3 2/4 wraps

Do you by chance have just some single 26 or 28?

To vape at a lower wattage you'll have to have a smaller mass coil to to heat and cool faster. The largest coil I put in the entheon was a fused Clapton
28/36

All I’ve got right now are the quad twisted coils and a spool of tri core Clapton’s. I’ll have to wait till Thursday to get more wire

Parallels and staged coils work great as well. Lower ohms without the extra mass, great flavor.
