Major Announcement.
We are making some big changes to the store. General retail sucks so we are going all-in on custom work and are bringing in some new equipment and people to see that vision into reality and take it to a whole different level. I am doing something no one else is or can and it has become our bread and butter so we are going to nurture that. I knew there would be some trial and error about our place in the game so here is what is changing starting now.
1. We are getting rid of e-liquids. We haven't had any success selling them so they are going away. Starting Monday orders over $200 get a free bottle, $300 gets two and so forth until its gone. Once we run them out of stock, we are taking them off the site entirely.
2. We have been getting ripped off by a few brands. A couple almost put us out of business twice. We are dumping every brand that hasn't made money since opening. We are remaining in partnership with some of the high end brands that have been mutually advantageous to be in cahoots with.
Morningstar, QP, Purge, Comp Lyfe, etc....
3. We are going to be doing some very limited edition runs with specific brands on a more frequent basis. These will be highly desirable, exclusive to us and personally tailored to the buyers. This is a global effort with brands from the US, UK, Russia, Germany, France and a few others, all of these will be fully sanctioned. No bootlegger business.
4. Starting next week we are going to start customizing everything in inventory. If it is bare metal, factory finish or customizable. It will be getting treatment. If you want a factory finish, I recommend grabbing it before we get started. The only new things we will be bringing in during that time is what we have already ordered. I need to reduce inventory by at least 360 mods (half of inventory) so we can get everything finished and reloaded.
5. I am considering a name change. I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on this. Branding is super important, Cloudist has a good reputation but I feel like a name change might be required since we are going to expand the customization to some other things once our contracts expire.
Also, if any of this sounds negative it isn't. The brand has been growing, the custom is whats making money so we are going to make it the centerpiece and take that to the next level.
