Jim... How you getting along with the EVL Reaper V3? Thoughts?
I really like it! It's a little goofy with regards to JFC and the AFC ring that comes off when you unscrew the atty.
Easy build, flavor is great, airflow is super smooth. Honestly I could tighten down the airflow a touch more it would edge out the Dvarw because of availability.

So with the 1.8 stock Post, you're cutting it down to which hole on the AF ring?

Also I remember talking about it with you before... was my fear of it condensation of the ring hold true, or was it a non-issue?

I'm using it on the second to smallest air hole. It's nice and tight, comparable to the Dvarw 1.0mm insert.
I guess my real issue is that I've got 28g Ni80 and that's providing too warm of a vape. I have some 29g arriving today and that should help a bit
Condensation hasn't been an issue in the least.
I'd definitely recommend it in lieu of another Dvarw.

hmm... wonder how it would fare being I use 28/40 .9Ω 2mm clapton coils at 14w
I'd say you'd be fine on the clapton. Plenty of purchase under those post screws to trap wire. Forgot I've been using a MTL fused clapton in mine haha... maybe that's why it's got too much heat?!

Btw, I take it back on the condensation. There is some but not enough to be a problem for me. This is after about a months use, say 10-20 pulls per day.

Cool... My fear is that it would be paired on the Dani Mini...would hate for condensation to form under the base and then find its way in the 510.

The Dvarw is dry as a bone...

Eh, might as well just try for another Dvarw

Thx!

could do what a bunch of others probably do... register a few accounts at KHW. One in your name, one in your wifes... at least you have 2 chances per list ;)

Then you have those crazies who have 20 accounts

Well I've got a few emails to choose from... they don't cross reference with addresses?

I don't think so... I use basically the same email address with the only difference being one uses a _ and the other uses a . same everything else.

Blasphemy in the greatest! LOL
In truth, I was tempted to buy a Reaper but I'm happy with the Dvarw, especially after I got the top fill tanks.
I think they're very comparable in terms of flavor. Dvarw has it beat for accessories and such but it's just such a PITA to get one.

Well, I ended up with 4 of them, 3 authentic and one is the complete set from FT (I think ). I have 3 different flavors in the authentic ones and the clone I use for restricted DL.

I'm trying out the ZBiip and it is pretty good. I can get the tight draw I like and the flavor is good. It is pretty big and heavy, definitely not a shirt pocket carry but it is fine as a backup in the car.

So quick update on the Nord coils.

Definitely tasted burnt by the third day.

Could be the juice, could be I was running them too high (11 watts?!), but the wire had some gunk on it already when I took it apart. Cotton looked clean though.

That being said my wife's is still going strong in her actual Nord but she's also using a really clean juice I make and doesn't vape as much as I do.

Jury's still out but it's not looking good.

I hate FedEx...

upload_2019-5-13_14-45-30.png

Called, asked them to read the address to me, before I told them what it was... everything is correct.

Was told the driver said he couldnt find the address lol

I responded... "Are you telling me, the driver is sitting there typing in each address of every package in his truck, rather than relying on that billion dollar turn by turn GPS system FedEx boasted about 3 years ago? You know the one that said would reduce fuel usage and delivery times, then one that tells the driver the fastest routes?"

LOL

Silence

It's ok, you don't have to answer that since this is being recorded... wouldn't want your boss to know your reply would be lying to a customer now lol

Anyway, should be delivered tomorrow...

Plus there is so many Go or No Go points in a delivery chain... address input from sender... address exists or doesnt exist... next... print label... affix label... parcel gets picked up and scanned... Go or No Go right there on the scanner... goes to distro near sender, scans again, a Go or No Go... next.... sorted to vehicle... scanned to make sure... go no go to right vehicle... next... goes to Distro in San Diego... Arrival scan... another Go or No Go point... sorted... loaded...scanned at least 3 more times....passes all those checks and go or no goes... on vehicle... driver then says address doesnt exist... COME ON NOW!

/end rant

Well, since the first time in my six years of vaping I had a device completely shit the bed on me. Sigelei Fuchai 213 that I just got is completely dead, not only that but it also fried two brand new Molicells that I ran maybe two cycles. Bummer!

So... lil update with FedEx and some humor...

Delivery arrived early...Dude X dropped it off at 10:30a... I barely walk up the stairs and started to open the package... door bell rings again... my other FedEx delivery that was due tomorrow...cool right? Was a different driver... lol

Seems odd they would have 2 drivers in the same area... oh well with that billion dollar fuel/time saving software system.

What a cluster! It must be just too many moving pieces to keep that kind of business efficient.

I'm just going to file that one under "Shit Happens" and move on. If that's the worst thing that's happened to me in six years of vaping I'm doing okay.
At least it wasn't a more expensive mod, right?

trying to figure out what went wrong... as I remember how the batteries go in... opposite directions, bottom latch...that clip to the body...was the mod faulty and just fired til meltage?

Not a clue honestly. No sign of auto firing whatsoever, no leakage, nothing.

Picked it up, wouldn't turn on so I went to charge the batteries. Put them on the charger and they didn't even get recognized as being in it.

Fresh batts in the mod and nothing.

That is odd as hell... there must of been some sort of parasitic draw to kill batteries to 0.00v and a significant one to do so in X amount of time the mod sat.

Cause I've discharged 30Q's in my flash light down to where the LED just went dull ...slapped them on the charger and they read 2.4v

It's running Vortex firmware which function somewhat like eScribe. It requires some hardware modification to run it (just a couple solder point connections to the micro USB) to flash the chip. I wonder if something went wrong there or cause it to drain the batts.

:vapemail:good for you!

Not for me though, for Trevor... he asked if I would parlay an entry for him... he just needs to pay me so I can buy it for him ;)

That makes rando number 9 for me haha!

Sent from the Death Star

3rd one for me trying for Trevor... I have my authentic and clone one, and honestly can't tell them apart besides knowing the authentic is on the Dani mini

Goober sold his, only to end up back wanting one lol...figured I'd help the cause.

Next list will be for me though.

You could do one of those waffle things with it! Who knows, it might get you enough to get the CRK of your choice!

Just kidding, I know you're too nice of a guy to do that.

Anyone interested in a North Bridge for the Smok Nord coils? I've had it less than a week and only run one tank through it.

I managed to pick up a EUCapsule from Ohman

I'll have a DryPlug from SSPP that will work it next week as well!

I'm guessing you don't really care for it?
You might consider the ZBiip, I get decent battery life and flavor. You can get as tight a draw as you like and there should be a sale for memorial day coming up.

It's okay. Honestly the flavor is pretty good, but the airflow isn't very smooth... very turbulent. A DryPlug would probably take care of that but I was able to find a discontinued EUC Drizzle Bridge from Ohman. I love those coils already so it was a no brainer.
Don't see myself using the Nord coils when I already have a better option.
The Zbiip looks cool, but I think I'm about done with pod/aio systems.

I'd tend to agree with you for the most part, where pods are concerned, but this one (especially for a very tight draw) is better than average. You can even use the Z-Plex mesh coils in the thing. I was planning to get a couple of the bases (the thingamadoodads that screw over the coil to control the air flow and keep it in place) and experiment with enlarging the air intake holes for (what I call) restricted DL- more of a very relaxed MTL for most other people but I spent all my play money on a couple different Kershaws- gotta thank @~Don~ for getting me started on that particular rabbit hole. I will do it in the next couple of weeks but there's just one more Kershaw I must buy first.

Kershaw makes some decent knives... especially in the sub $100 range... I would not spend above $45 though on one, regardless of the design or steel... their warranty is not what you read... had a discussion with a YT'r over this lol

Cheap productions knives sold to us consumers and we think they are cheap being lets say $50... for them to be profitable to be a production run that we can assume said knife costs no more than $20.

Your warranty is essentially $20...and this isn't a replacement value... this is how much they will allow towards repair.

Now when you break down lets say an assisted flipper... the items that will fail are simple... and only one from excessive usage.

1. The Spring for the Spring assist - This item is pennies to make in bulk, and also the weakest link... once said spring fails...and hopefully said knife is still a production model... they will replace said spring... for its below the $20... additionally, said spring is also the detente of the knife, and what keeps it in the closed position.

2. Screws... this more times than not are broken, stripped by the user...not covered... replacements are not covered for user error.

3. Blade breaks... User error again...it goes beyond their scope of normal use... cause well... to break a blade, it had to be used for something other than cutting or slicing...not covered.

Now there are companies who cover blade breakage... think Benchmade is one...and they make some really kick ass knives... but many of them borderline legal in California due to their lack of Detente.

Especially in Los Angeles...sub 3" blades are fine... cept autos and assisted opening knives... yes Brew... that cheapy Kershaw I gave you is illegal in LA... one exception to the blade length rule is fixed knives in sheaths... as long as its not a dagger... you can carry them openly...BUT! if your shirt covers it slightly it becomes illegal, and considered concealed...yeah grey area poop.

Its why I went with CRK/Spyderco PM2's... although they are above 3" blades, you can't shake them open past their detente... they are not assisted.

Now here in San Diego... they aren't as fussy as they are in Los Angeles or LA County...but not by much... the difference being, we are allowed assisted open knives... just not autos.

Funny thing is... I can open my PM2s or my CRKs just as fast as an auto or assisted flipper... just can't close as fast as an auto

Oh, I get that the warranty is worth less than the paper it is written on but I got the Scallion and Chive for my better half's bugout earthquake bags, the titanium version of the one you sent me, the Chill to put in mom's bag and a couple others to give as gifts. None were more than $30, some around $20-ish. I just want to get the Fraxion since it is the lightest one they make and keep it in one of my bags but I just love the assisted flippers I got a little carried away with it.

From what I've seen the Zbiip is bigger than your standard pod system. That negates one of the draws of such a system for me which is a bummer!
How does it compare to a BB?
(bringing us full circle )
