Mixing & "accelerated" steeping?

Hey gang, trying this method out for mixing and speeding up the steeping process. I immerse the mix in a hot water bath, and use a milk frother to get things blended well. The frother gets some cavitation happening. I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts.

I have used a hot tap water bath.
Steered away from frothers as I felt that the air introduced into the mix would cause the nic to oxidize more than normal.

Just me though.

Using the frother, seems to cut down the steep time a little bit. What needed a 2 week steep was ready in a week and a day, one that took 3-4 days was ready in one. Just my own $.02 from my fooling around

Using a mixer is OK IMO as long as you do not make froth. That infuses air which will degrade the nicotine. My current mixing and infusion procedure is to mix directly in a 60ML bottle and shake while it sits under an incandescent desk lamp which heats it to around 100°F. 3-4 days and most mixes are done. If I use a flavoring with high alcohol content like some of the wine flavors they take less time. I used to heat to under 150°F in hot water but I am no longer in that much of a hurry. Nothing beats time but you can speed up the clock. Good Luck

MY ADV needs a whole 24 hours to steep.
After than not really any change, and I have vaped some of it months old.
The more VG you use the more steep.

Why buy a frother when you could simply tape it to something that moves naturally?... :)

So I have tried every method of speed steeping that there is. In my experience, nothing is as good as just letting time have it's way. When I first started DIY I just wanted to have juices I could vape right away, but I love desserts, so I had a conundrum. I used hot water, mixers, lights, etc etc and it does help the mix come together rather than shaking it. So now that I have so much juice I could vape for the next 2 months without making another mix, I have come to find this:

Mixes that I used to put in an overnight hot water bath and vape after a few days ended up sitting for a couple of weeks because I just have so much on hand and like to mix it up. For example a cake batter custard I was vaping after a few days and it was pretty darn good ended up sitting for 2 weeks and holy SH#T it was incredible. 10x better than it was after the hot water bath and a few days. I still do the overnight bath in a giant thermos, it saves me from having to shake the crap out of my stuff and I have a shoulder injury from my baseball days, so shaking 10 mixes for 2minutes each bothers me, but I still let them steep for however much time I think they should. It is just better. It really is.

What I've noticed is this too, flavors that "fade" do fade at a certain point in their steeping process, but they end up coming back to where they should be eventually. So letting things steep their proper amount of time gives you the best final result possible. Some of my juices that I thought were good are now fantastic because they are at their best point.

What I think I discovered, is that using the mixer, does only just that. Get everything mixed well. They still need time to sit and come together. I'm also a dessert guy, and the complex ingredients need time, for which there is no substitute.

It sucks, I know, I just want to vape everything that second, but 1. I can't tolerate Shake n vape even for fruits I need 24hrs, 2. the gratification of waiting and getting a tasty vape is wonderful even if I do prefer the instant kind of gratification most of the time. haha

I mix 70 vg 30 pg, too viscous for shake & vape. Hence my hot water bath & mixer.

I also make High or Max VG DIY and have found the Incandescent Desk Lamp is the best way to speed up infusion. A 40W Bulb keeps the temperature at 100°F.

After I'm done shaking I can't see seperate components. Just one liquid with bubbles in it. I look at it with a light on the other side of the bottle. I still rarely shake and vape though.

Even fruits just aren't that good right after shaking. When I see a recipe with "shake and vape certified" in the comments, all that makes me think is that the juice is going to steep out like crap. Maybe that is a poor judgement call, but I feel like every good mixer I see is on the same page as me with the whole shake n vape nonsense.

Shake and vape actually means good in 1 to 3 days. Off the shake means good immediately. I haven't found anything good off the shake but many good on the 3rd day.

I have never heard of shake and vape meaning 1 to 3 days. Shake and vape to me (and many others, whether by misunderstanding or not) means shake it and vape it. 1 to 3 days is steeping one to 3 days. Many fruits are good after 24hrs - 3 days. I agree with that. I think off the shake and shake and vape are just two different ways of saying the same thing.

Fastest I have ever had a DIY ready to vape was 4-5 hours in a Hot Water Bath at just under 150°F. But just because the different liquids are mixed nothing beats a few days for the flavor to Infuse.

IMO even just adding Nicotine to a Short Fill needs time to infuse.

I guess your definition of a "good mixer" is different than mine.

Some mixes are fine for shake and vape and some are not.
Most all need to sit maybe at least overnight though.

You misunderstand/what i said didn't exactly convey what I meant. I didn't mean that anyone who doesn't subscribe to my thinking on shake n vape sucks (which I will admit could be interpreted from what I said). Also, Game over custard benefits quite a bit from steeping like 3 weeks. I don't know about the other one. What I meant was, I feel as though people who make recipes that I enjoy seem to be of the same mind as I am about shaking and vaping.

I mix my own juice and I keep it pretty simple. I mix in a 250 ml low form borosilicate glass beaker. Mix thoroughly by hand with a glass lab stirring rod. Decant into whatever bottle I'm using via a simple retort for holding the beaker while it pours into a glass funnel into the glass bottle. I made an initial investment in some basic labware that I can use forever if I don't break it. I measure my ingrediants on a 500 gram scale that measures in hundreths. The right tools for the job make it way easier. Stuff is cheap on Amazon and you will recover the costs in a few months of DIY.
