Good day Pastry Maniacs!

I am trying my new mixes and it seems not to work properly they are all numb to my taste buds/muted on my end. The flavor is there but it lacks sweetness to it.

Does Ethyl maltol good with meringue?

Do you have any Sweet tobacco mix?

I´m into sugar cookie because it seems to be a good flavor to vape with but I lack knowledge with sugar cookie mixes and tobacco, I have RY4 Double flavor on hand maybe you guys can help me.

Thanks :)

Seems like you have A LOT of different thoughts going on here. I can help with the sugar cookie. I have a great cherry frosted sugar cookie recipe at home. It uses RF Sugar Cookie, FLV Frosting, INW Cherries, and a couple others I don't remember off the top of my head, but it is wonderful.

I only use Ethyl Maltol with vanillas. It brings out the inherent sweetness of vanilla. I like it that way a lot. I don't really use sweeteners often, but when they are needed, it is apparent, and I have 4 different ones I use. Rick's Sugar Daddy, EM, CAP Super Sweet, FA Marshmallow (I also just ordered PUR Super Sweet on a bunch of recommendations) and they all have different applications.
Sugar Daddy - a very realistic sweetener goes good with anything really, but I like it with Bakeries and candies
CAP SUPER SWEET - I mostly use this with fruits if it needs some sweetness
EM - I use this with vanillas to bring out their natural sweetness, not with fruits because many fruits contain this and it can cause muting
FA MARSHMALLOW - sweetens up a mix without adding that sucralose flavor. pretty darn good

Sweet Tobacco - I don't really have much on this. I only have 2 tobacco flavorings and haven't really worked with them.

As far as other pastries go, let us know what you like, I've got a great canoli recipe, a great zeppola recipe, cakes, tons of stuff.

Yeah A lot since I got off mixing for a few months maybe 4 months, since my salary cannot accommodate continuous buying of ingredient to experiment. Anyway, Thank you for the descriptive kinds of sweetners you use it is really helpful but I currently have Marshmallow, EM and Sweetener only.

I cannot use strawberry no more since I kinda hate how it taste now unless maybe it is sweet enough but not gunky, I don´t know if this is even possible tho.

About the pastries, I love cakes and cookies right now, because I only have limited numbers of ingredient.

Thank you again for the sweeteners guide, I´ll take note of that since my mix is muting itself. Another question should I use only 1 kind of sweetener?

Post your flavors! I’m sure we can come up with something.

And, a few other things. Overflavoring can mute your recipes. Also, oversweetening can mute your recipes. The flavors themselves can, and often do, have sweetener in them. Add more sweetener on top of that and it’s a mess.

And, have you single flavor tested your flavors? That is pretty important when it comes to making your own recipes. Knowing how things taste alone helps tremendously.

I´ll post it when I got home :) Thank you for your reply.

On what matters flavor tasting would help me? I feel clueless about it. Any tips for tasting and what is great combination for what? Thank you looking forward to your reply.

It will help you know what each individual flavor tastes like and then craft recipes by knowing which flavors taste good together. It helps creativity a lot but it also lets you know what flavors do at different %

For example

FA Meringue - 0.5% is good for adding a little body and sweetness. At 1.5- 2% it’s a nice full eggy meringue.

TFA dragon fruit at 1% and below is a good way to add juiciness to your fruits at like 3% it taste like dragonfruit.

You also learn at what % you enjoy each flavor at. I could go on and on but I’m sure you get it.

Therefore you are using 2% alone to vape? or you join vg pg to it also?
I thought taste testing by droplets on your skin. lol

I make 5 ml single flavor testers. At 3 different percentages depending on the manufacturer of the flavor

OOO CAP TFA PUR FW LB LA - I do 3,4,5%

FLV FA INW WF RF VTA HS - I usually do anywhere from .5-3% depending on the flavor.

There are exceptions to this. TFa blackberry for example shouldn’t be used at more than 1%

I think I should buy lots of 10mls or less bottles. Ugh.

I´ll take note of this~

so white chocolate caramel for example.

1. too much sweetener 2% is a lot of sweetener
2. TFA White chocolate is not a good flavoring. When people do white chocolate they use a combo of FW white chocolate and FLV white chocolate. Since it is all you have I would bring it down to 3%, it is probably bitter and taking over your mix. Chocolate is a tough thing to do right and I have never heard anything good about this one.

I'll be demanding on this matter but can you help me with all these mixes?

on the cupcake one, if you are going for cupcake, I wouldn't add the Cheesecake Graham Crust, that is a very graham cracker heavy flavor and is kind of silky smooth. It will relieve some of the dryness of the Cupcake and Sugar Cookie, but it doesn't really fit in the profile you are going for. I would do something like this.

Cupcake - 4%
Sugar cookie - 3%
Simply Vanilla - 2%
EM - .5%

can you list all the flavors you have like this

Manufacturer - flavor -

or link to your flavor stash on ELR like this

http://e-liquid-recipes.com/publicstash/191722

it's a PIA to look at each one of those recipes and keep coming back.

What ml do you prefer Ma´am?
I do 70 vg/30 pg. it’s fairly a fairly common ratio. If you Squonk, drip or use sub tanks, you want the vg to be higher.

I rarely use EM (ethyl maltol) and I would not put it into a lemon meringue pie..

Flavorah tobaccos are excellent, virgina, sweet and smoky tobacco, both would fit your profile..

Hmm, perhaps it's not a good flavor for some ( pepper tasters ) but really, saying it's not a good flavor is a bit too extreme imo. I happen to think it's a decent flavor especially when allowed to steep for a week or two. I'll agree with you that there are probably better White Chocolate options out there today but this isn't a 'bad' flavoring, again, imo.

As we all know, taste is subjective so I just wanted to mention my opinion of this flavor in hopes that the OP doesn't get the impression that they can't, or shouldn't, be using it. That said, it does contain custard notes if that is a concern.

Yes I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it wasn’t usable at all. What I meant was that on it’s own I don’t think it will give you the white chocolate you may be looking for. There aren’t many flavors that are unusable. (TFA honey is one and for me FLV crunch cereal)

I think the hint of White chocolate is about to surface for a few more weeks of steeping. It is not dominate right now but the whole mix is blending nicely a few tweaks might work with white chocolate :)

Another question how do you use toasted almonds and yellow cake?
